2. The masthead in this magazine contents page contains
the title displaying that this is a contents page and also
has the title of the actual magazine. Additionally, it also
has the issue number and the date of the magazine.
Like the front cover of the magazine the masthead is
the biggest writing on the page and has a unique font.
3. The main image is the focus of the magazine and is the
main feature article so it takes up half of the page, it
is a medium close up of the band and similarly to the
front cover, it also covers part of the masthead –
because it is a well known magazine people will still
be able to recognise it. There are smaller images that
are included in the contents page but because they
are not the main feature of the magazine they are
much smaller than the main image.
4. The cover lines are arranged into columns on the right
hand side of the page, they have page numbers next
to them which are always located on the left hand
side in every magazine as the is follows the codes
and conventions of a magazine. They are neatly
aligned and clear to see, they have a small font size
and take up half of the contents page. The main
cover line is located on the main image as it is usually
the artist’s name(s).
5. The cover lines are arranged into columns on the right
hand side of the page this gives it a structured look to
the contents page. The editor’s letter is at the bottom
of the page which is found in most magazines with
the editor’s signature underneath. Sometimes the
magazine may print an image of the editor next to the
editor’s letter, however, in this magazine they have
not.
6. Also included in the contents page is a simple colour
scheme that coincides with the front cover of the
magazine – it is usually only 3-4 colours that are
used. Most of the time there is an editor’s letter at
the top of the page however, this magazine does not
include an editor’s letter but I will be including one in
my music magazine. In this magazine they have
included a buzzword which can encourage the
audience to read the magazine.
