represent particular social groups?
2. • We knew that it was vital for the social groups
to come across in are opening sequence,
otherwise the audience would not be able to
understand who the characters are. We
wanted are antagonists to be stereotypical
gangsters so we dressed them and gave them
props that are cultural signifiers. Also the
setting is a cultural signifier as we filmed it in a
setting which is stereotypical for a gang would
be.
3. • Ed’s was wearing red as being the colour of
blood, so it showed that was going to be the
victim. But also because Mikey was wearing
red it shows that he is trying to blend in with
the gang.
• In the gang they all wearing different colours
as it shows the different character in the
group, but they are all wearing black jeans
showing they are all unified
4. They are roughly wearing
the same thing, meaning
that they are all part of the
same gang. (hoodies and
jeans)
Having their hands in
their pockets and hoods
up makes them look
intimidating.
He stands out the most as he
is in grey showing that he is
the leader.

detective, showing that he
is undercover.
