Representation is the presentation of a group or individual that is perceived or appears as normal/reality.
Directors and writers use representations to connote certain things to the audience however this may be biased
depending on their views on a certain market segments.
Moreover, Representation is used to drive the film’s plot forward. This is than manipulated in order to show basic
psychological problems that are associated with that certain group basic stereotype.
This is also than showed throughout locations, props and the plot itself. A common example of this is how
teenagers a portrayed negatively as older writers and prodcers have a negative stereotypical view of modern
day teenagers.
