7. Sample Size and Tools Used
400 school students of Patiala district of Punjab state
(India) are taken as Sample of the study

9. • There is a positive relationship between convergent and divergent
thinking. Both types of thinking are significantly related.
• Female and male school students significantly differ in their
convergent thinking and divergent thinking. Female school
students’ group is higher on mean values in comparison to male
school students’ group in convergent and divergent thinking.
Thus, female school students are significantly superior to male
school students’ group.
• Government and private school students significantly differ in
their convergent thinking and divergent thinking. Government
school students’ group is higher on mean values in comparison to
private school students’ group in convergent and divergent
thinking. Thus, government school students are significantly
superior to private school students’ group
10. • Urban and rural school students significantly differ in their
convergent thinking and divergent thinking. Urban school
students’ group is higher on mean values in comparison to rural
school students’ group in convergent and divergent thinking.
Thus, urban school students are significantly superior to rural
school students’ group.
11. • If the intelligence of any student is brightened,
simonized and sharpened, the creativity traits
of the students will be automatically taken care
of. So measures can be taken in this regard for
school students.
• Both the types of thinking have their impact on
locale, types of institution and sex.
• The same findings are not expected every time
in behaviour sciences. So we can also conduct
research work in groups too.
