 The magazine has the unique A* potential of
being the better magazine. It has all the
attributes needed for a professional
magazine. In our group we had to create
different genre pages such as (music, games,
sport etc.) individually to create a perfect
magazine.
This is the main logo of our
magazine and we know that
This logo will attract a large audience because
of the way it looks. It’s eye-catching,
appealing and the logo gives the imagery that
this magazine is not just serious but
persuasive as well.
 My work is to create pages about the news of
inside Wanstead and outside the school. My
magazine pages are called ‘news in and out’
which creates the meaning that is about
what is going on in school which is to do with
the problems and issues. What I talk about
outside of the school is the news about of
new games and apps.
My first magazine page is all
about the news that has been
going on in school and all
about the issues within it. I
talk about some problems that
maybe students and teachers
do not actually notice and can
be very hazardous.
I also present my by-line to
show the reader what the
writer of the article is. What
my theme is and a photo of me
also.
 The next page is all
about multi-media news
outside of school and is
also the entertaining
section of the news
sector. This page is all
about the latest video
games that is coming
out and a little info of
what this game is
about. This has detail of
the background costs of
the games.
• My magazine page is called
‘Nothing to Something’ as most
grime/rap artist start from
nothing and make their way to
become something.
• I have had an detailed interview
with the local rapper ‘Nastyy’ as
many people in our sixth form
adore and relish his type of music.
• My magazine page is unique as I
judge on the top 7 artists and the
top 6 mix tapes
• My magazine features the latest
music which have been released
as many of our sixth form colleges
would be more attentive into this.
• In my sport magazine I have
added the latest premier
league table and also the
latest fixtures.
• I also added a crossword for
those who love playing games.
• I have also added the ‘signing
of the season’ as many signings
this season have been
fantastic.
• I have also added the images
of our tournament we had
before half term.
• This is our front cover we
had used two students who
go to our sixth form.
• We had changed the logo to
make it resemble the
teenagers in this generation
as it is graffiti.
• We had also used the
colours red and yellow as it
is very bright and vibrant.
• Fashion is really important for boys and girls because
it’s a sense of identity and pride that exudes
confidence in their self esteem and a great way to
self expression for everyone.
• For the likes and dislike I have created a boys and
girls fashion page to get an idea of what everyone
likes to wear
• But most likely from what I have wrote and know that
more people like dressing up casually because they
feel more comfortable and relaxed .
I have chosen the blue colour
for the boy's fashion page
because it suits their
personality and also blue is
the stereotypical colour for
boys. The heading ‘smart
clothing for important
places’ in black is because
black is a strong colour and
usually a lot of people wear
black suits when they go to
smart functions and could
also be used for the sixth
forms dress code.
Boy’s Fashion
For the girls fashion page I
have used French Script MT
font and a simple red colour
because it suites the
magazine house style. The
red colouring could also
represent a fashionable
lipstick colour. It is also a
power colour representing
love, passion and romance
Girls
Fashion
 My sections included my Baseline Bangers and also
cutting them puzzles?. These sections are my twist
on stereotypical sections in a magazine, Each
section has been modernized to relate to our
target audience, these sections will have modern
language use by teenagers Like slang terms
 The magazine itself will be quite informal due to
the fact that the target audience is sixth formers
who communicate quite informally.
 Also using the questionnaires which we did earlier
we asked the sixth form public what they wanted
in the magazine so we can reach our target
audience.
This is the title which I
have chosen for the
music section
The reason for
this is because I
did not want
stereotypical
titles and fonts
which are used
in most
magazine.
The reason I have
chosen the font and
the bubble because
its stands out its
more noticeable.
The title
which I have
used is in
teenage
dialect so
when
communicatin
g.
With
teenagers
they will get
this right
away
Teenagers regularly refer
to new songs as bangers,
so the title will relate to
our target audience.
A ‘bangin’ tune comes
from dance music culture.
The title
rolls of the
tongue.
There is
alliterati
on in the
title.
This is the interview
with our special,
guest with one of the
sixth form students
who is also a music
artist
The interview will be
one of our special
features talking to
students who either
want to share their
music interests or if
they see themselves as
the next up and
coming musicians.
For this section I
want to incorporate
photographs to
make it more eye
catching.
This is also my
interpretation of the
latest's albums, as
well as the latest
artist to watch.
The title which I
have used to the
forefront of my
page.
Its very
informal, and
also it is
welcoming to
look at.
My quiz section will
also be aimed at sixth
formers with the way
how my quizzes will
have a unique twist.
This is a
taster of the
words that
will be
contained in
my word
search.
These words are
used in teenage
dialect, which is
going to make
them drawn into
doing it.
This is going
to create
humour
while doing
it.
This is a
mock-up of
how the quiz
page will look
like.
My magazine contents page includes the
numbered pages of the magazine in order to
show the reader what specific pages are
assigned to what specific page number. I also
included an image of the crew and an intro to
the magazine expressing our feelings and how
we want to reach the needs of our audience.
This the official title for the WSM
magazine, this stands for Wanstead
Student Magazine.
This is a picture taken of the official
makers of the magazine. T’nia, Ahadh,
Haitham, Sharifa, Noel.
I’ve included an introduction on the
contents page to show our purpose and
how we need to fulfil that purpose
This is the second sports page and I’ve
named it inside sports. I used this name
as it would show the reader of the
magazine what subject of sports the page
is aimed at. This sports page is aimed at
sports inside the school whereas Ahadh’s
sports page is based on the sports outside
of school, mainly based on football.
I have included a timetable of all of the
afterschool & lunchtime clubs which
includes sports from football to
trampolining.
