Lesson Plan in Grade III
                                               June 12, 2008

I. Objectives:
                 At the end of the lesson, the pupils are expected to:
        A. define poet and poetry.
        B. describe the different style of poems.
        C. recite a poem.

II. Subject- Matter
         A. Topic: What is Poetry?
                 Ref. Techno Poet
                 pp. 1-2
        B. Value- Focus: Appreciation
        C. Materials: textbook, poem written in a manila paper

III. Procedure

        A. Daily Routine
                1. Daily Prayer
                2. Checking of Attendance
        B. Lesson Proper
                1. Motivation
                         Let the pupils recite a poem written in a manila paper.
                2. Presentation/Discussion
                         Discuss what is poetry, poet, and poem.
                3. Application:
                         Have the pupils write a poem in their notebook as a seatwork.

IV. Evaluation

        Let the pupils answer the questions as a recitation.

V. Assignment

        Write different kind of poems in your notebook.
