A02 Contract with myself
1. Tool A2Contract with myself
The contract with myself is a very simple learning and planning tool.
It supports you in taking note of specific observations, tools, tricks,
or other notable things you have come across in a meeting and which
in your own view may be helpful in overcoming possible shortcom-
ings you have detected in your own way of tackling problems, situa-
tions or difficult people. It is a tool of personal improvement.

In the first place, the contract sheet, something like a learning di-
ary, serves to take note of noteworthy things in the What column.
• What was new to me?
• What can I link to my personal experience?
• What do I want to practice differently from today?
• Which questions are left?
• What should I observe more critically?
If linked to these perceptions improvement suggestions of how to
deal with these things may turn up they may also be noted. The rest
is personal consideration and reflection of how to make personal
improvement a feasible project.
If people agree, exchange about selected experiences may prove
helpful at certain moments of a joint learning or working process.
