In this presentation we will discuss what I
have learned in this class and my future
career aspirations.

• This will impact my future career because I will likely have to manage people at some point, and
this shows me how to do so, as well as informs me of the other responsibilities of a manager.

5. Unit 6 Key Financial
Statements
• Learning the definitions of the statements in this
lesson will help me in my future career path
because I will need to talk to an accountant at some
point and it would be beneficial to know what they
are saying.

6. Career Aspirations
• I would like to be an entrepreneur.
• I have no idea yet what I want my business to do but I know I want to have one.

7. Action Plan
• Finish College
• Work for others in various fields until I find one, I
enjoy doing.
• Work in the field I enjoy for a period of time until I
feel I have learned enough to go out on my own.
• Go out on my own.
• That is the extent of my plan as of now.

• My key takeaways that I got from both
of my engaging with the communities
are quite a few people just start
business with no prior knowledge or
anything and it does not take much
revenue to keep a business going if it
stays small.

• One of my key takeaways from
my first engaging with the
community is most business
owners are very busy
individuals.
• A second key takeaway is
businesses do not make very
much there first year.
• A third is what I consider to be
outdated forms of advertising
are still effective.

• One of my key takeaways it takes
work not just time to grow a business.
• A second was there is a bigger market
for sweets than I thought, especially
during COVID.
• A third is bakeries make less off their
products than I would have thought.

11. Conclusion
• Although I still have much to learn about
running a business, I have learned a lot
more than I thought about it throughout
this class. I attribute most of it to the
engaging with the community sections, but
I still learned a fair bit because of the
assignment in the class itself.
