This document provides tips for incoming freshman on what to expect in their first year of high school. It advises students to do their homework, choose electives wisely, bring a sweatshirt as the school can get cold, leave their phone in their bag during class, ask for help if they get lost as the school is large, study for tests which are important for grades, and overall to have fun and make the most of their freshman year experience.

2. General Information As a high school student you get a lot more freedom. Lots of classes so you can see your friends.

3. #1 DO YOUR HOMEWORK ! If you don’t your grades will slip and it will be hard to bring them up.

4. #2 School lunch is amazing You always get a choice of what to eat, plus pasta Thursday is AMAZING!

5. #3 Choose your electives wisely Once your in them its hard to get out.

6. #4 Always bring a sweatshirt The high school is FREEZING !

7. #5 Supper funny teachers Your teachers keep the class entertaining, so you wont fall asleep.

8. #6 Keep your phone in your bag You don’t need to be texting the whole class, and you will get caught and get your phone taken away, so leave it in your purse, pocket, or locker.

9. #7 This school is HUGE If you get lost ask one of the upperclassmen to help you find your way.

10. #8 Some classes you will have all year This helps to have a variety of classes and meet new people.

11. #9 Study! Test are a big part of your grade so make sure you study to help you keep that grade high.
