1. To all teachers who’ll take part in this lesson,

Please read the lesson flow below:

●Theme: “How many ~ do you have? ­­ Counting bunch of stuff ­­”
●Grade: 5th grader
1. Greeting
First, students in your group introduce themselves.
“Hello. My name is ~~.” x the number of the students in your group.
*You must wait until every student is done with introducing themselves.
2. Greeting
Then, introduce yourself.
”Hello. My name is~~.”
3. Small game
The rule of the game is simple. Each student asks you a question about the number of certain
things you own. Please answer the question by using numbers ranging from 1 to 20. The
number you answer is going to be their points, but please answer as honestly as possible! (The
reason is that your answer might partly affect students toward cultural image of your country.)
ex.
Student: “How many books do you have?”
You: “I have 4 books.”
*Make sure you use the exact same sentence as above.
*If students struggle with understanding your answer, you can help them by using gestures in
terms of number.
4. Repeat #3 until the time runs out
Then the students take turns and repeat the procedure 3 again and again.
*Make sure you repeat #3 until the time is running out even though you feel that’s redundant.

2. *During the lesson, keep repeating the same process, even if you have already finished the
whole flow with the same student. Also, stick strictly to the manual, because students’
vocabularies are limited. Don’t ask them to do/say something, but just follow the lesson flow and
remember to praise the students as encouragement. You can also use the following phrases, if
you were unable to understand the student.
1. Sorry?
2. Please wait for a moment.
3. Please speak more slowly.
4. Please type it.
*Also, the students will call you to start the lesson, so please wait in front of the computer until
they call you.
