1. Line
I used the horizon and the actual lines from the court floor to show the use of line
Many lines going in different directions caused a conflict as the horizontal lines and the
vertical lines collided, which in itself could be used to convey a theme or issue
I used the horizon to make it easier for the audience to track my subject as he is walking
across it but even though it worked slightly it was harder to focus on my subject as there
were many lines that ended up distracting you from the subject
Shape
There are many different shapes created by different objects outside
The canopy is creating an archway illusion whist the stands that is creating a trapezium
shape
My shot is not level making the dimension of it as a whole odd
I have focussed well on my edges of frame in this artistic element
Rule of thirds
My subject was in the right place for my rule of thirds shot
I did not anticipate that my subject would look down as if he had looked up and to the
camera his eyes would have hit one of the power points but as he did not it just missed it
Lighting and tone
Used sunlight to silhouette the location, but I could have used more architecture rather than
only a little to take advantage of the effect it was making
The sunlight also brings out the detail of the sky around it
Form
Symmetry of the shot was interesting and accurate
Shot is balanced
Shot has an improvement of level but can still be improved
I have focussed well on my edges of frame in this artistic element
POV
The lead up to walking to my subject was too shaky and could be more stabilized but the final frame
was successful and I should have left it running for longer instead of cutting it that fast.
Summative Notes
I have focussed well on my edges of frame in this artistic element
2. Texture was used well in shape and form as the seats but I could have moved closer to the seats to
get the detail
In lighting and tone when filming the sun everything around it was darkened which happened to
bring out the texture of the sky, creating a metallic effect,.
In the line shot there are many dynamic diagonals as the lines on the court are diagonal and also in
shape and form the pathway and the benches are also diagonal.
