Radio Flyer Creative Brief
- 1. Client: Radio Flyer Wagons Date: 7/15/13
Project: 1 OOH campaign (3 executions) plus 1 :60 radio spot
Job Number: 129920283989
WHY ARE WE ADVERTISING?
Radio Flyer Wagons are an American classic – chances are good every one of us at one point or another rode in
one. And while history smiles fondly on Radio Flyers, today’s modern kid does not. Trendy action figures, movie
cross promotions and an unlimited number of video games and tech toys dominate the landscape for today’s
youth. So it’s time to bring back an American staple and give it a modern spin.
WHAT IS THE ADVERTISING TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH?
Convince parents and kids that Radio Flyers are fun and engaging, and a great alternative to toys that keep kids
inside and on the couch.
WHO ARE WE TALKING TO?
60% female, 40% male, 30 – 45 years old. Parents with children ages 2 to 6. They’re not hardcore granola types
but they definitely care about what their kids eat and play with, and how they spend their time. They look for
experiences that combine education with fun as much as possible (or at least productivity with fun).
WHAT IS THE ONE MAIN POINT WE’RE TRYING TO GET ACROSS?
Radio Flyers let kids use their imagination and their muscles to have a blast.
WHAT ARE THE REASONS TO BELIEVE THIS?
Radio Flyers can be used for almost anything a kid can dream up – rocket ship, car, traveling circus, or to haul
1000 Hot Wheels. And it’s impossible to use while sitting on the couch. Plus it’s sturdy and dependable and will
last an entire childhood. You can also now customize your wagon for your child.
