Can Virtue Be Taught Analysis
In one of Plato's many dialogues, Socrates tries to answer the questions, "what is virtue?" and "can virtue be taught?" I believe virtue is "conformity of
one's life and conduct to moral and ethical principles" (dictionary.com) provided by God. If God is the highest esteem of a virtuous being, anything in
the absence of God is vice, "immoral conduct; depraved or degrading behavior." (dictionary.com) Since scripture says "for all have sinned and fall short
of the glory of God," (Romans 3:23, ESV) we are all started in vice. Because of this, in order for man to have virtue in must be able to be taught. This
leads to another question, who teaches virtue? It is not something you can learn in school no matter what education level you obtain. So where does it
come from? ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Beloved never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord." To the contrary, "if
your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head." Do not be
overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." (Romans 12:9–21,ESV) In order to be strengthened to live this lifestyle we must be completely
dependent upon God. If not we will live a life a of vice which looks like. the Bible says in 2 Timothy "But understand this, that in the last days there
will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful,
unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self–control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure
rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people." (2Timothy 3:1–5,ESV) In conclusion, virtue
comes from God, therefore in order to live a virtuous life we must live a godly life. In order to learn virtue we must seek God since all knowledge
comes from

WELCOME ADDRESS by Host Pastor
The great God that deserves to be praised greatly is our God (Psalm 145:3). Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever. Hallelujah! It was just
like yesterday when the Lord told us three years before this parish was birthed that we would be coming to Akron. As it is written, "Though thy
beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase," we have seen God's faithfulness over the last seven years in every life, every marriage,
every home in the church, in the parish and in our land.
Our ever faithful, ever true Lord and Savior has proven Himself in innumerable ways as "The Alpha and the Omega." We remember the Stow Ohio
dinner with friends held on Sunday, May 9th 2010. HE has shown that He alone has the final say in the affairs of men, "The Almighty." As our Helper,
He told us we are stepping into "our season of help." HE is still manifesting Himself as the ever–fresh, ever–new God, the God of "a new thing." In His
mercy HE taught us the "power ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ha! "For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may
give seed to the sower And bread to the eater" (Isaiah 55:10), "there is a lifting up" commanded for you in Jesus Name!
As it is written, you are "complete in Him" (Colossians 2:10), I prophesy a completion for you, your household, your vocation and your ministry IJN!
Even as the Lord had to touch the blind man twice (Mark 8: 22–25) to bring restoration and completion his way. I rejoice with you, as you rejoice with
the RCCG Jesus House Akron as we celebrate seven years of God's faithfulness that the Sovereign Lord himself will give you strength and support, and
make you complete in every good thing (1 Peter 5:10). Be blessed, in Jesus mighty Name.

2 Nephi 4: 16-35 Study
In reading in the study assignment two really had a great impact on me this week and I felt like I needed to share. For someone that has struggled with
life. For example not sure if everything you're taught is true, not believe in Jesus Christ or Heavenly Father are real. In 2 Nephi 4: 16–35 really hit

God Is Above All, Through All And All
Paul declars that Christ is above all, through all, and in all. There is no name, nor power, or any other entity which, is more powerful than that of the
Lord Jesus Christ. In Phillipians the words joy , rejoicing or rejoice are repeated many times in the short 104 verses. It is filled with joy, peace, and
thanksgiving. Our theme today will be Pauls Joy in Christ. Our Key word is rejoice. Our song for today is Joy. Paul kept a Christ–centered faith during
at least four years of anguish as a prisoner of the Roman government, first in Caesarea and then in Rome. During his confinement, Paul wrote four
letters that exist in our New Testament. They are Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians and Philemon and are among some of Pauls the most helpful and
encouraging writings. We, living today almost 2,000 years later, are blessed to have these letters to teach us the inspiring truths of God. We are the
receivers of Paul's spiritual wisdom undeterred by personal suffering. Philippians (4:12). Paul was in an precarious position. Yet, he is the one
reassuring the church to have hope, joy and peace. He for all intents and purpose demands, the members to feel victorious: "Rejoice in the Lord always.
I will say it again: Rejoice!" Paul, who is suffering in prison, pleads with the Philippians: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything Have
joy and peace within because these are fruits of the Holy Spirit is living within us (Galatians 5:22). Therefore, Paul tells the

Love Is A Great Base For Love
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does
not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As
for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. (1 Corinthians 13:4–8)
This verse chosen to recite at many weddings, the beginning of a long life of love. This passage shows the outline of what love is both called to do and
how we are called to love. I think that this passage is a great base for love. 1 Corinthians is only the beginning of what love is.
I would call this verse the beginning or the basic love. The plan that is given to us through this verse is satiated is that we are called to be patient, kind,
to rejoice, give hope. We can even go past this face of happiness to the nitty gritty things like not bring arrogant or rude, even going as far as saying to
endure all things. The biggest thing here though is that love never ends.
I do not believe that love is only putting other first or simply respecting a person to show love. Love goes beyond the front and goes to the action. The
best way that I think we can show love is not only by the respectful word that we can muster up but the action that is to follow after. For example one
can say that that they love God, but if they are not doing what he

Soldiers Home Rejoice
It's time to rejoice after the war. Everyone needs to get ready to welcome our soldiers home. We know that it is time to rejoice and welcome when in the
commercial it says, "You've been missed. You've been needed. You've been cried for. Prayed for. You've been the reason we push on.". If we are finally
welcoming our soldiers home, then that must mean we are finally able to rejoice that the war is over. Another saying that answers the question, "Why?",
is "We wait. We hope. We pray. Until you're home again.". After all that time of us waiting, hoping, and pray we can finally welcome our soldiers home
and rejoice of the war being over. After putting all our faith that everything will be okay and hopefully all of our loved ones will be coming

T. D. Jakes True Hope
I would like to preface this paper by saying that I thought that everything that I heard was sound and it was nice to hear about T.D. Jakes' success after
such a rough patch in his own life. It really was an inspiration, and stories like that provide hope for thousands of hurting people. I would like to
explore if this hope he talks about is a realistic hope or a false hope. Obviously, God is not a genie and he did not created this universe to give us
$100,000, he did not create this universe to give you your dream car, and he did not create this universe to serve us at anytime. Rather, God gives us
tools in our life to achieve our goals though his power. This is where my critical side comes out. Bishop Jakes argued that we can all reach

and influence many people, young and old to appreciate life. An individual can influence others in a positive way by considering Sam's philosophy for a
happy life. The three major aspects he mentioned was for a person to focus what they can do and not about what they cannot do. He encouraged people
to do things that they are passionate about. Secondly, he strongly suggested that a person must surround themselves with people that love them. His last

The Faith Of God 's Wrath
Through faith in Christ, believers continue to experience the righteousness from God. Now believers have a new relationship with God and hope for a
future life with God. God loved us so much that He sent Jesus to die for our sins. Believers were paid for with Jesus's blood and therefore we belong to
God. As a result, we have been justified and declared righteous. In addition, we have been reconciled to God and are at peace with Him. In other words,
the relationship that was destroyed by Adam's disobedience has been restored and believers are dead to sin and friends with God. Therefore, we have
access to Him and we can rejoice because our future is secure and we have confidence in our relationship with God.
In Romans 5, v. 9 believers have been justified by the blood of Jesus and are saved through Jesus from God's wrath. According to Xavier Leon–Dufour,
"when believers are justified, our attachments to ourselves and our own glory is removed" (John 7:18 NRSV). Prior to Adam's fall, humankind
depended on God and were friends with God (Gen. 2). Although God created humankind in His own image and shared all His creations with us, Adam
disobeyed God and broke the friendship. As a result, all humankind became enemies of God (Gen. 3). However, through the blood of Jesus, believers
have been declared righteous and our justification has been completed. We are no longer God's enemy and we are guaranteed salvation from God's
wrath. John Stott stated that, "Believers

In Philippians chapter 4 verses four and five, Paul writes to the church at Philippi and says rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say rejoice! Let your

The word that Paul uses forward Rejoice comes from the word Chairo in the Greek which means to rejoice as in being cheerful. Paul is telling us that

We are to rejoice in the good times. It seems easy to do, as many of us is taking tests before and have gotten grades that we did not expect in a good

Psalms 97 Essay
Psalms 97 is a General Praise Hymn that celebrates God's authority over all His creations. The General Praise type has three main sections that includes
a call to praise God, an explanation or reasons for praising God, and a renewed call to Praise (Lucas, 2008, p. 2). The General Praise type is evident in
Psalms 97 as it begins with a call to Praise God. It mentions, "Let the earth rejoice; let the many coastlands be glad!" (Psalms 97:1, ESV). Verses 2 to
11 gives the explanation for praising God. It mentions that God is righteous and just; He is faithful and will conquer evil and idolatry. Through this,
everything, even the mountains, will praise Him and know that He is God (Psalms 97:5 – 7). Psalms 97 also emphasizes God's kingship in verse 9 by
noting that He is the "most high over all the earth". Another reason for praising God is that He will protect and deliver those who are faithful from evil.
This hymn ends by recalling for a praise to God. "Rejoice in the Lord . . . and give thanks to his holy name" (Psalms 97:12). ... Show more content on

It is observed in Psalms 3 that David is running away from his son, Absalom. Psalms 3 begins with calling and complaining to God that he has too
many enemies against him (Psalm 3:1–2). This individual lament continues with an expression, a confession of trust and also an exclamation of praise.
David is reassured that God is His "shield" and sustainer in verses 3–5. In verse 6, David vows that he will not be afraid of his enemies as he knows that
God will protect him. This is followed by David's petition and call to God to deliver him from his situation and to take revenge on his enemies. He ends
his lament with a praise to God that salvation is God's decision, and not man's. This differs from the psalmist's initial belief that only specific people can

The Beatitudes In Jesus'sermon On The Mount In Matthew 5
Conforming to the world brings shame, but standing with the righteous brings eternal glory. In Jesus' Sermon on the Mount found in Matthew 5, He
gives the world a path to follow, an outline of how to live commonly known as the Beatitudes. The Beatitudes are puzzling to us. They are difficult to
put together rationally and find the logic in them. God's plans for our world and for our lives are not always logical to us, but He is God and does things
for reasons we cannot understand. We can see through the Beatitudes and Beyond the Gates of Splendor that the Peacemaker is the Child of God who
can rejoice when persecuted "for righteousness' sake." This type of persecution shows that the Peacemaker has been recognized as someone who has
not conformed to the pattern of this world, and has lived a life worthy of their call of Christ Jesus which then allows them to enter the Kingdom of
Heaven and be called children of God.
One of the biggest contradictions we seem to be faced with in the Beatitudes is the eighth and final one. "Blessed are those who are persecuted because
of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against
you because of me. Rejoice and be glad because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you"
(Matthew 5:10). It does not seem to be logical to be blessed when evil is against you. I struggle with the

Baroque Music Vs Classical Music
There are many ways to distinguish compositions. They can be grouped in different time periods and genres. For us to know what time period to
associate them with, we must be able to recognize the many characteristics of the different time periods. There are many time periods of music; two of
these musical periods were Baroque and Classical. Each time period has its own differences. The Baroque period began in the year 1650 and lasted 150
years. Baroque music had much ornamentation. One example of this is George Frederic Handel's oratorio Messiah, No. 18: "Rejoice Greatly". This
oratorio has three parts–Christmas, Easter, and Redemption. No. 18 "Rejoice Greatly" is part of the Christmas section. It has a form of da capo aria–A–
B–A'. The second A includes a great deal of embellishment. In No. 18 there is a soprano vocal solo and orchestra. Although the Baroque time period
embellishes music and is very ornamental, the music of the Classical time period is very simple and is of proportion and balance. ... Show more content

The term "classic" means timeless beauty or refers to something of highest quality. The music of the Classical period certainly lived up to this
definition. New forms were developed in this time period. An example of this is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Eine kleine Nachtmusik (A Little Night
Music), K. 525 Movement I. This piece has a form of sonata–allegro. It is a form that the Classical time period established. This piece is fast because it
is movement I. It is also in duple meter. It uses a rocket theme and also contains a string orchestra. It has sudden dynamic changes and a homophonic
texture. Along with these little differences, the Baroque and Classical time periods have some greater differences and

How Does Jesus Show Empathy?
In our bible passage today Paul is urging his readers to respond to the good news of Jesus Christ by living a life shaped by love. And one of the
hallmarks of love is how we show empathy. Empathy is the ability to actually feel the emotions of someone else. When another person hurts, we hurt
also. When another person is joyful, we feel their joy. Having empathy helps us to understand each other, and respond authentically in any given
moment. When we act with empathy, we see the humanity in others and are better able to make real connections. So the woman who makes your coffee

Parables In The Gospel Of Luke
The Gospel of Luke is the most descriptive account for Jesus Christ's life. Through this Gospel it gives its readers a foretaste into the birth and early life
of Jesus and his disciples. Luke described who Jesus was as a person and what Jesus had accomplished through his life, death, and resurrection. This
Gospel has various themes. Some themes are the parables, the role of the Holy Spirit, and the joy and rejoicing. The Gospel of Luke has some very
significant parables that are still taught today. One parable is The Parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25–37). In this parable a man was walking
down to Jericho when robbers attacked him. They left him there half dead and beaten up. A priest happened to go down the same road and when he saw
the man he didn't even stop he kept walking. Also, a Levite saw him and walked past him on the other side. But when a Samaritan saw him he stopped
and had mercifulness for him. He helped him bandaged his wounds, and then he carried the man onto his donkey and led him to an inn where he could
take care of him. He told the innkeeper to look after him and when he returns he will pay any of the extra expenses.
The lesson of this parable is that we may view anyone who needs our help as our ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Joy and rejoicing means when, gladness, is not happiness that depends on our circumstances and our moods; which has to do with our emotions or
position in life. This joy is something that is constant; it is from within us because Jesus lives within us. Joy and rejoicing appears in Luke 15:3–7. This
is present in the Parable of the Lost Sheep. It explains that if one of the hundred sheep were missing he would go and look for it and once he found the
sheep he would joyfully put it on his shoulders and heads home. He calls his neighbors to rejoice with him since he had found his lost sheep. He says
there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who

The Parable Of The Lost Sheep And The Prodigal Son
The parables of Jesus are interesting, have a lot of twists and turns, and are very useful in explaining the morals of humanity. Most parables can be
found in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke. Some parables, however, can be found in the gospel of John. Many of the parables are similar in
context and meaning, but with a few differences. Two parables that are like this are the Parables of the Lost Sheep and the Prodigal Son. There are two
parables titled "The Parable of the Lost Sheep", but this is talking about the parable in the book of Matthew. The Parable of Lost Sheep is about one

This book was written about the same time as Ephesians and Colossians. The city received its name "Philippi" by Philip, the father of Alexander the

and there was no synagogue. Philippians is a letter of correction––a letter of' Christian appreciation and exhortation.
Life was hard in the city of Philippi. The Christians were being persecuted for their faith. Paul, their first teacher, was in prison far away. One of the key

Lemonade : The Rocky Love Story Of It's Lemonade
The video begins in black and white with Beyoncé's soft–spoken voice stating the directions to her grandmother's fresh squeezed lemonade, while three
young girls run out of the house in dresses. The visuals for All Night were captivating as it flashed various images and universal symbols of love and
life, personal moments such as wedding videos, pre and post pregnancy footage and of random couples on the streets with footage of various sexual
preferences and various colors and creed. This video was the ending to Beyoncé's critically acclaimed rocky love story turned visual album

Summary Of To An Empty Page
In this iambic pentameter sonnet "To An Empty Page", Robert Pack goes immensely deep into the human psyche, exploring ideas of death and life,
which are vividly portrayed by the use of paradoxes, apostrophes, and personification. Pack presents a poem of contemplation analyzing the aspects of
life and death. This poem is especially interesting due to the poem being an echo sonnet–where a voice is followed by a response. Now, we do not
know where exactly this echo comes from, but we can infer that the echo could be orchestrated by the voices in the speaker's head or possibly a
deceased loved one. Either way, this so–called echo is very dark and provides a profoundly deeper meaning to the poem. The way I viewed the poem, I
predict that the echo was really the voice inside the speaker's head. Think of it as thoughts one has at midnight. The speaker is obviously contemplating
life and death, evaluating how they correlate into one large human cycle. This speaker could have a mental disorder, such as depression, but we should
not infer the exact mental disorder that he/she possibly has. The reason people infer depression is due to the drab tone of the echo. The majority of the
poem, the voice is asking questions, curious and seemingly adrift. The echo then responds at the end of each line with a one–syllable word, such as
"Grief" (Line 2). As previously covered, the speaker is diving deeper and deeper into his thoughts about life. This entire poem seems to set up a

Dylan Thomas' Under Milk Wood Essay
Dylan Thomas' Under Milk Wood deals with the simplicity of life, stressing the importance of "each cobble, donkey, [and] goose"; we must rejoice in
the simple aspects of life which ultimately make it so wonderful. There are many characters in the play who would attempt to hide from reality behind
their "germ–free blinds" and "sealed window[s]", consuming themselves with insipid activities which do not bring the joy of the "spring sun" into their
lives. Thomas' treats these characters with humour, subtly suggesting where his sympathies lie; with those characters who rejoice in the "love" and the
little aspects of life which make it so much more worth living.
In the early stages of the play, the audience is invited into the "big seas" of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The captain's dreams of the dead suggest that he has lived a long and full life, and the fact that those in his dreams rejoice in the simple aspects of their
lives suggests both that these are the things they miss the most, and also that Captain Cat knows that these aspects are not to be taken for granted.
Mog Edwards and Miss Myfanwy Price have an eccentric relationship which, despite being from a distance, they celebrate and enjoy every day of their
relationship "until death do us part". The love they feel, whether or not it is for each other or for the idea of such a relationship, is an integral part to
their lives and, although somewhat strange, it is a blessing that such love is not taken for granted. Thomas treats the two characters with satire, Mog
Edwards being more taken with economical ideas of "business" being "poorly" than that of love as his letters consist for the most part of financial
despair. It is hence perhaps the ease of the relationship which appeals to the couple the most; love, at a distance, is all they need to be happy, and the
fact that they rejoice in such a relationship is not as humorous an idea as it is satisfying to know that such happy and "eternal" love is made the most of
to the furthest extent possible.
There are also those characters at the opposite end of the scale who live "loveless" or "dark" lives, denying the reality

Philippians Three Summary
In Philippians three, Paul writes to the Philippi church to remind and encourage them to rejoice in their sufferings. Though he makes it clear that faith is
not based on works, he still encourages Christians to bear the fruit and live worthy of their calling by producing good works. Although it was written to
the church at Philippi, it, like all of God's word, is still very much so relevant today, in our relationships and day–to–day lives. This passage fits into the
overall flow of the letter Paul writes to the church at Philippi while he is in prison, anticipating his release. The book is a love and thank you letter for
the Philippian Church's support, and encouragement to continue to grow. Chapter 3 specifically focuses on rejoicing amidst sufferings, being on guard
for false witnesses, and having Christ's righteousness rather than our own. Verse one of Philippians three begins with, "Finally, my brothers, rejoice in
the Lord. To write the same things to you is no trouble to me and is safe for you." Here Paul is referring back to his persistent message throughout his
writing to rejoice amidst affliction. He is able to speak from experience, and his current situation as a prisoner. Rejoice (chairo) with the qualifier, "in
the LORD" reminds us that regardless of circumstances, we can rejoice in who God is, and what he has done for us. Though the word is similar in
meaning to "joy", the phrase reminds us that while our happiness might be determined by circumstances,

Psalm 55 is a pain – filled lament from King David to God. King David's closest friend has betrayed him to his enemies. David expresses all his
feelings and wishes for God to punish his friend who had deceived him. David asked for God's blessings so that he may never be defeated. The lesson
taught in psalm 55 is what to do if you are betrayed by a friend. The psalm instructs us by David's example, to pray if we have or are experiencing this.
There are multiples lessons taught in Psalm 55. One of the lessons taught is trusting in God. No matter what has happened, is happening or will happen,
David will look to God for comfort, protection and guidance. "But you, O God, will bring those murderers and liars to their graves before half their life

Pauls Joy In Christ
Paul proclaims that Christ is above all, through all, and in all. There is no name, nor power, or any other entity which is more powerful than that of the
Lord Jesus Christ. In Phillipians the words joy , rejoicing or rejoice are repeated many times in the short 104 verses. It is filled with joy, peace, and
thanksgiving. Our theme today will be Pauls Joy in Christ. Our Key word is rejoice. Our song for today is Joy. As Paul maintained a Christ–centered
faith during at least four years of suffering as a prisoner of the Roman government, first in Caesarea and then in Rome. During his imprisonment, Paul
wrote four letters that survive in our New Testament. They are Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians and Philemon are among some of Pauls the most
helpful and encouraging writings.. We, living almost 2,000 years later, are fortunate to have these letters to teach us the inspiring truths of God. We are
the beneficiaries of Paul's spiritual wisdom forged in the crucible of personal suffering.Philippians 4:12). Paul was in an uncertain and trial–filled
position. Yet he is the one encouraging the church to have hope, joy and peace. He virtually demands the members to feel triumphant: "Rejoice in the
Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!" Paul, who is suffering in prison, pleads with the Philippians: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in
everything Have joy and peace within because these are fruits of the Holy Spirit living within us (Galatians 5:22). So Paul tells the

Comparing My Old Non-Music
Music plays a significant role in our everyday lives as a way of comfort or security. Keeping us calm, happy, and even sometimes making us cry. But
whether you listen to Classical,Country,Rock or even the voices of Elvis, Whitney Houston, or Michael Jackson, you know you can't help but to sing
along and rejoice with your favorite tune. In my early years, I can't quite remember listening to much lyrical music before the age of 5 besides lullabies
and sing a longs. But even certain songs have had a role in my early development like the "ABC's" and the "123's". After the age of 5, I can remember
not quite liking any sort of music and telling my mom to "lower it down" in the car. Comparing my old non–music liking

Summary Of Paul's Letter To The Philippians
Paul's letter to the Philippians was written to the first church he established in Europe, the Roman province of Macedonia. The apostle wrote the letter
to express his appreciation and affection to the people of Philippi while imprisoned in Rome. Paul's affection to the people in Philippi is clear
throughout the letter as he encouraged them to live out their faith in joy and unity (Towns, 201). In Philippians 1, Paul opens with a prayer of
thanksgiving; "I thank my God upon every remembrance of you" (1:3 NKJ) for the Philippians. The church at Philippi had been source of great a joy to
Paul by their fellowship. Paul prayed that God will complete the work that he began through them and they should grow spiritually as well. Paul
encourages the Philippian believers that even though he is in prison, the word of God has spread with the prison guards and has help spread the gospel
"I am appointed for the defense of the Gospel" (1:17 NKJ). He affirms to the Philippian people that all this happen because he trusted in the word of
God. His goal was to encourage the Philippian believers that they can trust in the sovereignty of the God Almighty despite all the hardship that he is
going through (Town 203).
Moreover, Paul is torn between the release from his mortal coil and his students. He is concerned who will look after the Philippian church when he is
no longer on this earth; "This will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell" (1:22 NKJ). Often, we as

Rosaline's Fault: The Untimely Death Of Romeo And Juliet
It was Rosaline's Fault
There are many things that lead up to the untimely death of Romeo and Juliet, but the lynch pin that started all of the unfortunate events afterwards was
Rosaline breaking Romeo's heart. Rosaline decimates Romeo's feeling, leaving him vulnerable and wanting love to fill the empty spot in his heart.
On page 737 Romeo explains to Benvolio that Rosaline doesn't love him back. He then goes into a long speech about how he is extremely hurt and that
cupid has forsaken him. Romeo even goes as far as saying that he feels like he has died after Rosaline refused his advances (739). Rosaline has so
utterly destroyed Romeo's heart that he wishes he was dead. In the play, we never even meet Rosaline, but she has affected Romeo in

Does Kate Chopin Present Her Husband's Death In The Story...
In Kate Chopin's "Story of an Hour", she represents grief by showing the emotional effects on Mrs.Mallard. As she understands the significance of her
husband's death she will understand what it means for her future. Kate Chopin show how Mrs. Mallard expresses her stages of grief as she comes to
terms with her husband's death and new found freedom. In reality people recognize grief as someone who is mourning in tell–tale stages. Chopin uses
diction to show Mrs. Mallard's progression through her grief; loosely following the traditional stages. After her husband's death Chopin uses "sudden,
wild abandonment" and "storm of grief" to demonstrate how Mrs. Mallard reacts to the news(38). Chopin uses "sudden, wild abandonment" to describe

Mallard struggles to come to terms with her husband's death while also finding out what it means for her future. In the beginning Mrs. Mallard is told of
her husband's death "with the inability to accept its significance." meaning that his death means more and will affect her life in more ways than the
obvious(38). As she processes her grief Mrs. Mallard realizes that his death will give her an escape from under his control. Chopin says Mrs. Mallard is
"young, with a fair, calm face, whose lines bespoke repression and even a certain strength."(38). This means that if by looking closely its shows on her
face that Mr. Mallard had a certain amount of control over her. By reading between the lines one can infer that the relationship between Mr. Mallard
and Mrs. Mallard is strained at best. Mrs. Mallard even says "And yet she loved him–––sometimes. Often she did not."(40). For her to have these
feeling there would have been a reason. Her reason was Mr. Mallard's controlling will and nature. She knew that with his death "There would be no
powerful will bending her in that blind persistence with which men and women believe they have a right to impose a private will upon a fellow–
creature."(40). She welcomed the years to come when she would solely live for herself. No matter the love she had for him she looks forward to having
freedom and control of her own life. She chose to rejoice in his death and embrace her freedom while she will evermore mourn

Romeo and Juliet: Night
Romeo and Juliet: Night – Rejoice or Rebel?
Night can be seen in two contrasting ways. The first can be summarized as a time for celebration and love. The second, and most commonly associated
with night, is a time of darkness and horror. Two shining examples of the different emotions and reactions brought on by darkness are the books Night
by
Elie Wiesel and Romeo and Juliet by well–known author, William Shakespeare. In
Romeo and Juliet night has a positive image, a welcomed time for love, protection and exchanging of covenants, while in Night the image is portrayed
in a negative way, a time for fear, suffering, and death. Night in the great romances is a greeted time of romance and in
Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet a time to hide ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To everybody's life there must come an end, but this end was often brutally cut short in concentration camps during the wickedness of night. The
Germans killed uncountable numbers of Jewish people during the darkening skies, nights coming, through hangings. An example that stands out
particularly well transpires in night's darkness when a child is being hanged with two adults for destroying an electric power station. "For more than
half an hour he stayed there, struggling between life and death, dying in slow agony before our eyes."
(Wiesel 62) Elie almost succumbs to death during the long march in the cold and bitter night, but doesn't give in to death's beckoning because of his
father. "Death wrapped itself around me till I was stifled." (Wiesel 82) But
Elie's father, his condition gradually declining because of dysentery, is eventually taken off to the crematories during night's unforgiving harshness,
while possibly still alive. In conclusion, I think we should have more of a open mind when thinking about the meaning of night and not just look upon it
with a one–sided point of view. These two books are excellent examples of how night can be both full of passion and full of

Olive oil was in abundance and therefore the oil was not costly.

Most homes at that time would contain several oil lamps and the inside of the home was about as dim as a 40 watt light bulb.
Still she did not take a lax attitude towards her lost possession. She knew if she was going to find this coin.
1. You have to stay focused. She did not allow the lighting in the house to stop her. She was not focused on how dim the house may have been. Her
mindset was to find the coin.
2. Use what you got. There is a time when you will not have all the tools you feel you need. It should not cause you to give in. This woman did not have
proper lighting, but she stayed focused and worked diligently.
If you are going to find your way out, maybe, you will have to sweep your house clean.
The woman swept the house. She uses her broom to reach into corners and under tables, areas where she could not see. Something you must go beyond

Genius and Madness in Christopher Smart’s My Cat Jeoffry...
Genius and Madness in Christopher Smart's My Cat Jeoffry
A series of verses commencing with the word "for", Christopher Smart's "My Cat Jeoffry" is surprisingly modernistic and intriguing. Written while
Smart was confined in a mental asylum for incessant praying, the aphoristic poem praises the cat Jeoffry, a faithful servant to God. Unrestricted by rigid
poetic structures, "My Cat Jeoffry" is nevertheless organized and coherent, ablaze with a current of religious fervour. It is impossible to know if the
poem was inspired by genius or by madness, but it is infused with sanity and truth. While the poem is about a cat's devotion to God through its daily
actions, Smart's "My Cat Jeoffry" also serves as a lesson to humankind. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Is Smart perhaps inserting his characteristic wit into "My Cat Jeoffry" and alluding to John Wesley's (1703–1791) dictum "cleanliness is next to
godliness"?
Superior to other animals due to the dexterity of his movements (40, 71), Jeoffry is able to serve God asleep and awake, as emphasized in Smart's
parallel lines "For there is nothing sweeter than his peace when at rest./For there is nothing brisker than his life when in motion" (44–45). Jeoffry's
abilities to influence those around him is also brought into light in the parallel lines "For he is hated by the hypocrite and miser./For the former is afraid
of detection./For the latter refuses the charge" (57–59).
Jeoffry, even "when his day's work is done" (23), continues to work in God's grace by keeping the Devil at bay with his "electrical skin & glaring eyes"
(25). This use of diction seems absurd, and one wonders if Smart is not fooling his audience all along. Echoing William Blake's "The Tiger" and his
Four–Fold Vision by the vivid descriptions of his "Angel Tiger" (29), Smart hints that there exist multiple layers in "My Cat Jeoffry". Without a doubt,
Jeoffry's life can be paralleled to that of humankind. However, what kind of person does Smart speak of? Is Smart truly praising those who are devoted
to God, or is he criticizing those who are over–zealous in their devotions?
Given the knowledge of Smart's background,

Indwelling: The Advancement Of The Gospe
There is a need today for believers who are willing to stand up and defend Christ without wavering. There are so many beliefs, religions, and
worldviews contending for people's allegiance. It takes knowing Christ, the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, and God's word to defend the gospel.
Christians must be ready to proclaim the message with persistency no matter if the times are favorable or unfavorable. Believers must ready to correct,
rebuke, and encourage with great patience in teaching (2 Tim. 4:2). As Christians, you cannot look at others and their ulterior motives; you must be
willing to share Christ according to his word.
As the church stand defending the gospel, the road ahead will not always be easy. It may appear to be difficult at times. Many times you may feel as if
you are not getting anywhere, but even in the hard times you must rejoice. Rejoicing is not a matter of feeling, but a matter of obedience to the Lord.

First, the church must remain focused even in difficult situations. No matter what you are going through in your personal life, the focus must be on
spreading the gospel of Christ. Remember, someone is depending on you to share the gospel with them. Secondly, the church must stand in defense of
the gospel. There are numerous religions, factions, beliefs, and spiritual organization proclaiming to be the right way, but you as a believer must be
willing to defend the gospel. The only way to defend the gospel is to know the gospel. Studying the word of God is essential to convincing others to
follow Christ. Thirdly, the church must continue to rejoice in spite of difficult situations. Every day is not sunny and there will be storms, but it is how
you deal with the storms determines the outcome. Even while in a storm, the sun shines on the other side. If you rejoice while going through the storm,
then joy continues no matter

both Mexican folklore, ancient mythology, and pop culture. I believe this a brilliant film and that children of the ages 4 and up should be allowed to

The New Testament uses bear out that division, with Rom.2:29, 13:3; I Cor.4:5, II Cor.8:18, I Pet.1:7 and 2:14 referring to praise accorded to people,
and Eph.1:6,12,14; Phil.1:11, and possibly 4:8 to the praise of God.[viii] Second is the verb aineo, which makes 9 appearances. This too, classically,
spoke of "praise or approval, and a recommendation or advice", as well as "a way courteously to decline an invitation." It is a very frequent admonition
in the LXX, describing or urging praises to God, although it is also used disparagingly of praises to pagan gods. Aineo describes the praises of the
heavenly host announcing Jesus' birth (Lk.2:13), the awe–struck shepherds (Lk.2:20), and the jubilant crowd on Palm Sunday (Lk.19:37), as well as the
constant praises offered by the empowered disciples both before (Lk.24:53) and after Pentecost (Ac.2:47), and the joyful celebration of the healed man
in Ac.3:8. Rom.15:11 is quoted from the LXX, and Rev.19:5 casts "a voice from the throne" as a holy cheerleader calling both small and great to
praises. Epaineo, the verb form of epainos, common in the LXX, is less so in the New Testament, translated 4x "praise", and once each "laud" and
"commend." All but the LXX quote in Rom.15:11 refer to people – most of whom (I Cor.11:17,22, and Lk.16:8) were not behaving very well. Its
classical definitions are very parallel to those listed for the noun.[ix] Finally, we have the four appearances of humneo: "to sing praises, to

Frederick Douglass Rhetorical Analysis
"Where justice is denied, where poverty is enforced, where ignorance prevails, and where any one class is made to feel that society is in an organized
conspiracy to oppress, rob, and degrade them, neither persons nor property will be safe"– Frederick Douglass
Frederick Douglass is a remarkable figure when it comes to describe and expose the outcome of the oppression in the black race since memorable times
seen and experienced through the centuries expressed in slavery, racism and mistreat. In "The Meaning of Fourth of July for the Negro", Douglass
states the values of not only a race but a human being in his speech, by allowing himself to represent and describe the meaning behind it by using

The rich inheritance of justice, liberty, prosperity and independence, bequeathed by your fathers, is shared by you, not by me"–Douglass. Showing
comparison but most important, a point of view; which stand out his anger and his will to end the slavery comparing the rejoice of ones, and the pain of
others at the same time.
Independence comes wide a wide range of definitions, varying in its point of view and analysis from perspectives in scenarios that give the most fit
definition. Being a memorable date where good things happened and the beginning of a new government with freedom and justice as its standards is
emerging. A word which is defined by freedom in all means. A definition of open doors to new changes for better. In many eyes, these statements apply
and for other do not. Douglass uses juxtaposition to denote his anger and demands to widen and bring the attention of his public: "The sunlight that
brought light and healing to you, has brought stripes and death to me. This Fourth July is yours, not mine. You may rejoice, I must mourn. To drag a
man in fetters into the grand illuminated temple of liberty, and call upon him to join you in joyous anthems, were inhuman mockery and sacrilegious
irony"–Douglass. Where there is joy, in other places there is sadness and death. People who had control over slaves, helped in a way to grow an
economic and labor system based on oppression and

  • 1. The Benefits Of The Kingdom So, if your finances are upset, you need to maybe God wants you to vomit something out here tonight in the spirit. $50.00 check, $5.00 check all right, I'll receive them both, yes ma'am I'll receive it, $50.00, I 'll receive it. Now, now, write discovering by revelation that all of the benefits of the kingdom is on the inside of you ready to manifest on the outside of you, that don't sound too deep, but let me say it again. That don't sound too deep, but that is one of the deepest things you have ever heard, listen, discovering by revelation, that's a $50.00 check, that all of the benefits of the kingdom, including wealth, prosperity and increase is on the inside of you. If that is true, you already wealth and prosper, you don't know ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It comes by revelation, faith and obedience. He is on the inside of you. The good Lord is on the inside of me. Lord is on the inside of me. I told you about [inaudible] [00:54:42] turn to Matthew 13 quickly, Matthew 13, oh my goodness, hallelujah, I said hallelujah; if you can 't say hallelujah you don't need no money, hallelujah. You see the kind of prosperity, listen very close; you want to write this, the kind of prosperity we are talking about, does not come by accomplishment or achievement it comes by entrustment. You did hear, see you don't understand, see, this prosperity does not come by you achieving it or by you accomplishing it, it comes by entrustment, in other words, can I trust you with it. Will you help somebody, that's a good check, a $50.00, would you help somebody, when you start crossing the ten thousand mark and the fifty thousand mark and the one hundred thousand mark. You know, I thank God, they talk about the million man march, but I 'd like someone body of Christ to walk to me in dollar march. It's a good march. Many millions ago, I found out how I feel and I can help the gospel, go to places it wasn't able to go. One of these nights I think I 'm going to talk about large money, tomorrow night and using large money against the gospel. • 5. Can Virtue Be Taught Analysis In one of Plato's many dialogues, Socrates tries to answer the questions, "what is virtue?" and "can virtue be taught?" I believe virtue is "conformity of one's life and conduct to moral and ethical principles" (dictionary.com) provided by God. If God is the highest esteem of a virtuous being, anything in the absence of God is vice, "immoral conduct; depraved or degrading behavior." (dictionary.com) Since scripture says "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God," (Romans 3:23, ESV) we are all started in vice. Because of this, in order for man to have virtue in must be able to be taught. This leads to another question, who teaches virtue? It is not something you can learn in school no matter what education level you obtain. So where does it come from? ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Beloved never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord." To the contrary, "if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head." Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." (Romans 12:9–21,ESV) In order to be strengthened to live this lifestyle we must be completely dependent upon God. If not we will live a life a of vice which looks like. the Bible says in 2 Timothy "But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self–control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people." (2Timothy 3:1–5,ESV) In conclusion, virtue comes from God, therefore in order to live a virtuous life we must live a godly life. In order to learn virtue we must seek God since all knowledge comes from ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. Host Pastor WELCOME ADDRESS by Host Pastor The great God that deserves to be praised greatly is our God (Psalm 145:3). Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever. Hallelujah! It was just like yesterday when the Lord told us three years before this parish was birthed that we would be coming to Akron. As it is written, "Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase," we have seen God's faithfulness over the last seven years in every life, every marriage, every home in the church, in the parish and in our land. Our ever faithful, ever true Lord and Savior has proven Himself in innumerable ways as "The Alpha and the Omega." We remember the Stow Ohio dinner with friends held on Sunday, May 9th 2010. HE has shown that He alone has the final say in the affairs of men, "The Almighty." As our Helper, He told us we are stepping into "our season of help." HE is still manifesting Himself as the ever–fresh, ever–new God, the God of "a new thing." In His mercy HE taught us the "power ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Ha! "For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater" (Isaiah 55:10), "there is a lifting up" commanded for you in Jesus Name! As it is written, you are "complete in Him" (Colossians 2:10), I prophesy a completion for you, your household, your vocation and your ministry IJN! Even as the Lord had to touch the blind man twice (Mark 8: 22–25) to bring restoration and completion his way. I rejoice with you, as you rejoice with the RCCG Jesus House Akron as we celebrate seven years of God's faithfulness that the Sovereign Lord himself will give you strength and support, and make you complete in every good thing (1 Peter 5:10). For example not sure if everything you're taught is true, not believe in Jesus Christ or Heavenly Father are real. In 2 Nephi 4: 16–35 really hit home to me. Do to someone that has fallen in her own way got some great answers that was very much needed. The scriptures that stood out to me thru out this set of scriptures are versus "21 He hath filled me with his love, even unto the consuming of my flesh." Don't we all want to feel that love especially when we fell lots or we are down. I just love what it has to say in versus 28–30 "Awake, my soul! No longer droop in sin. Rejoice, ... • 17. God Is Above All, Through All And All Paul declars that Christ is above all, through all, and in all. There is no name, nor power, or any other entity which, is more powerful than that of the Lord Jesus Christ. In Phillipians the words joy , rejoicing or rejoice are repeated many times in the short 104 verses. It is filled with joy, peace, and thanksgiving. Our theme today will be Pauls Joy in Christ. Our Key word is rejoice. Our song for today is Joy. Paul kept a Christ–centered faith during at least four years of anguish as a prisoner of the Roman government, first in Caesarea and then in Rome. During his confinement, Paul wrote four letters that exist in our New Testament. They are Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians and Philemon and are among some of Pauls the most helpful and encouraging writings. We, living today almost 2,000 years later, are blessed to have these letters to teach us the inspiring truths of God. We are the receivers of Paul's spiritual wisdom undeterred by personal suffering. Philippians (4:12). Paul was in an precarious position. Yet, he is the one reassuring the church to have hope, joy and peace. He for all intents and purpose demands, the members to feel victorious: "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!" Paul, who is suffering in prison, pleads with the Philippians: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything Have joy and peace within because these are fruits of the Holy Spirit is living within us (Galatians 5:22). • 21. Love Is A Great Base For Love Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. (1 Corinthians 13:4–8) This verse chosen to recite at many weddings, the beginning of a long life of love. This passage shows the outline of what love is both called to do and how we are called to love. I think that this passage is a great base for love. 1 Corinthians is only the beginning of what love is. I would call this verse the beginning or the basic love. The plan that is given to us through this verse is satiated is that we are called to be patient, kind, to rejoice, give hope. We can even go past this face of happiness to the nitty gritty things like not bring arrogant or rude, even going as far as saying to endure all things. The biggest thing here though is that love never ends. I do not believe that love is only putting other first or simply respecting a person to show love. Love goes beyond the front and goes to the action. The best way that I think we can show love is not only by the respectful word that we can muster up but the action that is to follow after. For example one can say that that they love God, but if they are not doing what he ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

We know that it is time to rejoice and welcome when in the commercial it says, "You've been missed. You've been needed. You've been cried for. Prayed for. You've been the reason we push on.". If we are finally welcoming our soldiers home, then that must mean we are finally able to rejoice that the war is over. Another saying that answers the question, "Why?", is "We wait. We hope. We pray. Until you're home again.". After all that time of us waiting, hoping, and pray we can finally welcome our soldiers home and rejoice of the war being over. After putting all our faith that everything will be okay and hopefully all of our loved ones will be coming ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Jakes' success after such a rough patch in his own life. It really was an inspiration, and stories like that provide hope for thousands of hurting people. I would like to explore if this hope he talks about is a realistic hope or a false hope. Obviously, God is not a genie and he did not created this universe to give us $100,000, he did not create this universe to give you your dream car, and he did not create this universe to serve us at anytime. Rather, God gives us tools in our life to achieve our goals though his power. This is where my critical side comes out. Bishop Jakes argued that we can all reach ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He has made it a life goal to educate and influence many people, young and old to appreciate life. An individual can influence others in a positive way by considering Sam's philosophy for a happy life. The three major aspects he mentioned was for a person to focus what they can do and not about what they cannot do. He encouraged people to do things that they are passionate about. Secondly, he strongly suggested that a person must surround themselves with people that love them. His last comments, "Don't waste energy feeling bad for yourself" was a very intense statement. • 37. The Faith Of God 's Wrath Through faith in Christ, believers continue to experience the righteousness from God. Now believers have a new relationship with God and hope for a future life with God. God loved us so much that He sent Jesus to die for our sins. Believers were paid for with Jesus's blood and therefore we belong to God. As a result, we have been justified and declared righteous. In addition, we have been reconciled to God and are at peace with Him. In other words, the relationship that was destroyed by Adam's disobedience has been restored and believers are dead to sin and friends with God. Therefore, we have access to Him and we can rejoice because our future is secure and we have confidence in our relationship with God. In Romans 5, v. 9 believers have been justified by the blood of Jesus and are saved through Jesus from God's wrath. According to Xavier Leon–Dufour, "when believers are justified, our attachments to ourselves and our own glory is removed" (John 7:18 NRSV). Prior to Adam's fall, humankind depended on God and were friends with God (Gen. 2). Although God created humankind in His own image and shared all His creations with us, Adam disobeyed God and broke the friendship. As a result, all humankind became enemies of God (Gen. 3). However, through the blood of Jesus, believers have been declared righteous and our justification has been completed. We are no longer God's enemy and we are guaranteed salvation from God's wrath. John Stott stated that, "Believers ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 45. Psalms 97 Essay Psalms 97 is a General Praise Hymn that celebrates God's authority over all His creations. The General Praise type has three main sections that includes a call to praise God, an explanation or reasons for praising God, and a renewed call to Praise (Lucas, 2008, p. 2). The General Praise type is evident in Psalms 97 as it begins with a call to Praise God. It mentions, "Let the earth rejoice; let the many coastlands be glad!" (Psalms 97:1, ESV). Verses 2 to 11 gives the explanation for praising God. It mentions that God is righteous and just; He is faithful and will conquer evil and idolatry. Through this, everything, even the mountains, will praise Him and know that He is God (Psalms 97:5 – 7). Psalms 97 also emphasizes God's kingship in verse 9 by noting that He is the "most high over all the earth". Another reason for praising God is that He will protect and deliver those who are faithful from evil. This hymn ends by recalling for a praise to God. "Rejoice in the Lord . . . and give thanks to his holy name" (Psalms 97:12). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is observed in Psalms 3 that David is running away from his son, Absalom. Psalms 3 begins with calling and complaining to God that he has too many enemies against him (Psalm 3:1–2). This individual lament continues with an expression, a confession of trust and also an exclamation of praise. David is reassured that God is His "shield" and sustainer in verses 3–5. In verse 6, David vows that he will not be afraid of his enemies as he knows that God will protect him. This is followed by David's petition and call to God to deliver him from his situation and to take revenge on his enemies. He ends his lament with a praise to God that salvation is God's decision, and not man's. This differs from the psalmist's initial belief that only specific people can receive ... • 49. The Beatitudes In Jesus'sermon On The Mount In Matthew 5 Conforming to the world brings shame, but standing with the righteous brings eternal glory. In Jesus' Sermon on the Mount found in Matthew 5, He gives the world a path to follow, an outline of how to live commonly known as the Beatitudes. The Beatitudes are puzzling to us. They are difficult to put together rationally and find the logic in them. God's plans for our world and for our lives are not always logical to us, but He is God and does things for reasons we cannot understand. We can see through the Beatitudes and Beyond the Gates of Splendor that the Peacemaker is the Child of God who can rejoice when persecuted "for righteousness' sake." This type of persecution shows that the Peacemaker has been recognized as someone who has not conformed to the pattern of this world, and has lived a life worthy of their call of Christ Jesus which then allows them to enter the Kingdom of Heaven and be called children of God. One of the biggest contradictions we seem to be faced with in the Beatitudes is the eighth and final one. "Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you" (Matthew 5:10). It does not seem to be logical to be blessed when evil is against you. I struggle with the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 53. Baroque Music Vs Classical Music There are many ways to distinguish compositions. They can be grouped in different time periods and genres. For us to know what time period to associate them with, we must be able to recognize the many characteristics of the different time periods. There are many time periods of music; two of these musical periods were Baroque and Classical. Each time period has its own differences. The Baroque period began in the year 1650 and lasted 150 years. Baroque music had much ornamentation. One example of this is George Frederic Handel's oratorio Messiah, No. 18: "Rejoice Greatly". This oratorio has three parts–Christmas, Easter, and Redemption. No. 18 "Rejoice Greatly" is part of the Christmas section. It has a form of da capo aria–A– B–A'. The second A includes a great deal of embellishment. In No. 18 there is a soprano vocal solo and orchestra. Although the Baroque time period embellishes music and is very ornamental, the music of the Classical time period is very simple and is of proportion and balance. ... • 57. How Does Jesus Show Empathy? In our bible passage today Paul is urging his readers to respond to the good news of Jesus Christ by living a life shaped by love. And one of the hallmarks of love is how we show empathy. Empathy is the ability to actually feel the emotions of someone else. When another person hurts, we hurt also. When another person is joyful, we feel their joy. Having empathy helps us to understand each other, and respond authentically in any given moment. When we act with empathy, we see the humanity in others and are better able to make real connections. • 61. Parables In The Gospel Of Luke The Gospel of Luke is the most descriptive account for Jesus Christ's life. Through this Gospel it gives its readers a foretaste into the birth and early life of Jesus and his disciples. Luke described who Jesus was as a person and what Jesus had accomplished through his life, death, and resurrection. This Gospel has various themes. Some themes are the parables, the role of the Holy Spirit, and the joy and rejoicing. The Gospel of Luke has some very significant parables that are still taught today. One parable is The Parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25–37). In this parable a man was walking down to Jericho when robbers attacked him. They left him there half dead and beaten up. A priest happened to go down the same road and when he saw the man he didn't even stop he kept walking. Also, a Levite saw him and walked past him on the other side. But when a Samaritan saw him he stopped and had mercifulness for him. He helped him bandaged his wounds, and then he carried the man onto his donkey and led him to an inn where he could take care of him. He told the innkeeper to look after him and when he returns he will pay any of the extra expenses. The lesson of this parable is that we may view anyone who needs our help as our ... Summary Of To An Empty Page In this iambic pentameter sonnet "To An Empty Page", Robert Pack goes immensely deep into the human psyche, exploring ideas of death and life, which are vividly portrayed by the use of paradoxes, apostrophes, and personification. Pack presents a poem of contemplation analyzing the aspects of life and death. This poem is especially interesting due to the poem being an echo sonnet–where a voice is followed by a response. Now, we do not know where exactly this echo comes from, but we can infer that the echo could be orchestrated by the voices in the speaker's head or possibly a deceased loved one. Either way, this so–called echo is very dark and provides a profoundly deeper meaning to the poem. The way I viewed the poem, I predict that the echo was really the voice inside the speaker's head. Think of it as thoughts one has at midnight. The speaker is obviously contemplating life and death, evaluating how they correlate into one large human cycle. This speaker could have a mental disorder, such as depression, but we should not infer the exact mental disorder that he/she possibly has. The reason people infer depression is due to the drab tone of the echo. The majority of the poem, the voice is asking questions, curious and seemingly adrift. The echo then responds at the end of each line with a one–syllable word, such as "Grief" (Line 2). As previously covered, the speaker is diving deeper and deeper into his thoughts about life. This entire poem seems to set up a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Dylan Thomas' Under Milk Wood Essay Dylan Thomas' Under Milk Wood deals with the simplicity of life, stressing the importance of "each cobble, donkey, [and] goose"; we must rejoice in the simple aspects of life which ultimately make it so wonderful. There are many characters in the play who would attempt to hide from reality behind their "germ–free blinds" and "sealed window[s]", consuming themselves with insipid activities which do not bring the joy of the "spring sun" into their lives. Thomas' treats these characters with humour, subtly suggesting where his sympathies lie; with those characters who rejoice in the "love" and the little aspects of life which make it so much more worth living. In the early stages of the play, the audience is invited into the "big seas" of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The captain's dreams of the dead suggest that he has lived a long and full life, and the fact that those in his dreams rejoice in the simple aspects of their lives suggests both that these are the things they miss the most, and also that Captain Cat knows that these aspects are not to be taken for granted. Mog Edwards and Miss Myfanwy Price have an eccentric relationship which, despite being from a distance, they celebrate and enjoy every day of their relationship "until death do us part". The love they feel, whether or not it is for each other or for the idea of such a relationship, is an integral part to their lives and, although somewhat strange, it is a blessing that such love is not taken for granted. Thomas treats the two characters with satire, Mog Edwards being more taken with economical ideas of "business" being "poorly" than that of love as his letters consist for the most part of financial despair. It is hence perhaps the ease of the relationship which appeals to the couple the most; love, at a distance, is all they need to be happy, and the fact that they rejoice in such a relationship is not as humorous an idea as it is satisfying to know that such happy and "eternal" love is made the most of to the furthest extent possible. • 85. Philippians Three Summary In Philippians three, Paul writes to the Philippi church to remind and encourage them to rejoice in their sufferings. Though he makes it clear that faith is not based on works, he still encourages Christians to bear the fruit and live worthy of their calling by producing good works. Although it was written to the church at Philippi, it, like all of God's word, is still very much so relevant today, in our relationships and day–to–day lives. This passage fits into the overall flow of the letter Paul writes to the church at Philippi while he is in prison, anticipating his release. The book is a love and thank you letter for the Philippian Church's support, and encouragement to continue to grow. Chapter 3 specifically focuses on rejoicing amidst sufferings, being on guard for false witnesses, and having Christ's righteousness rather than our own. Verse one of Philippians three begins with, "Finally, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you is no trouble to me and is safe for you." Here Paul is referring back to his persistent message throughout his writing to rejoice amidst affliction. He is able to speak from experience, and his current situation as a prisoner. Rejoice (chairo) with the qualifier, "in the LORD" reminds us that regardless of circumstances, we can rejoice in who God is, and what he has done for us. Though the word is similar in meaning to "joy", the phrase reminds us that while our happiness might be determined by circumstances, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There is no name, nor power, or any other entity which is more powerful than that of the Lord Jesus Christ. In Phillipians the words joy , rejoicing or rejoice are repeated many times in the short 104 verses. It is filled with joy, peace, and thanksgiving. Our theme today will be Pauls Joy in Christ. Our Key word is rejoice. Our song for today is Joy. As Paul maintained a Christ–centered faith during at least four years of suffering as a prisoner of the Roman government, first in Caesarea and then in Rome. During his imprisonment, Paul wrote four letters that survive in our New Testament. They are Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians and Philemon are among some of Pauls the most helpful and encouraging writings.. We, living almost 2,000 years later, are fortunate to have these letters to teach us the inspiring truths of God. We are the beneficiaries of Paul's spiritual wisdom forged in the crucible of personal suffering.Philippians 4:12). Paul was in an uncertain and trial–filled position. Yet he is the one encouraging the church to have hope, joy and peace. He virtually demands the members to feel triumphant: "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!" Paul, who is suffering in prison, pleads with the Philippians: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything Have joy and peace within because these are fruits of the Holy Spirit living within us (Galatians 5:22). The apostle wrote the letter to express his appreciation and affection to the people of Philippi while imprisoned in Rome. Paul's affection to the people in Philippi is clear throughout the letter as he encouraged them to live out their faith in joy and unity (Towns, 201). In Philippians 1, Paul opens with a prayer of thanksgiving; "I thank my God upon every remembrance of you" (1:3 NKJ) for the Philippians. The church at Philippi had been source of great a joy to Paul by their fellowship. Paul prayed that God will complete the work that he began through them and they should grow spiritually as well. Paul encourages the Philippian believers that even though he is in prison, the word of God has spread with the prison guards and has help spread the gospel "I am appointed for the defense of the Gospel" (1:17 NKJ). He affirms to the Philippian people that all this happen because he trusted in the word of God. His goal was to encourage the Philippian believers that they can trust in the sovereignty of the God Almighty despite all the hardship that he is going through (Town 203). Moreover, Paul is torn between the release from his mortal coil and his students. He is concerned who will look after the Philippian church when he is no longer on this earth; "This will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell" (1:22 NKJ). Often, we as ... Still she did not take a lax attitude towards her lost possession. She knew if she was going to find this coin. 1. You have to stay focused. She did not allow the lighting in the house to stop her. She was not focused on how dim the house may have been. Her mindset was to find the coin. 2. Use what you got. There is a time when you will not have all the tools you feel you need. It should not cause you to give in. This woman did not have proper lighting, but she stayed focused and worked diligently. If you are going to find your way out, maybe, you will have to sweep your house clean. The woman swept the house. She uses her broom to reach into corners and under tables, areas where she could not see. Something you must go beyond the normal. 3. Search carefully until you find it. Genius and Madness in Christopher Smart's My Cat Jeoffry A series of verses commencing with the word "for", Christopher Smart's "My Cat Jeoffry" is surprisingly modernistic and intriguing. Written while Smart was confined in a mental asylum for incessant praying, the aphoristic poem praises the cat Jeoffry, a faithful servant to God. Unrestricted by rigid poetic structures, "My Cat Jeoffry" is nevertheless organized and coherent, ablaze with a current of religious fervour. It is impossible to know if the poem was inspired by genius or by madness, but it is infused with sanity and truth. While the poem is about a cat's devotion to God through its daily actions, Smart's "My Cat Jeoffry" also serves as a lesson to humankind. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Is Smart perhaps inserting his characteristic wit into "My Cat Jeoffry" and alluding to John Wesley's (1703–1791) dictum "cleanliness is next to godliness"? Superior to other animals due to the dexterity of his movements (40, 71), Jeoffry is able to serve God asleep and awake, as emphasized in Smart's parallel lines "For there is nothing sweeter than his peace when at rest./For there is nothing brisker than his life when in motion" (44–45). Jeoffry's abilities to influence those around him is also brought into light in the parallel lines "For he is hated by the hypocrite and miser./For the former is afraid of detection./For the latter refuses the charge" (57–59). Jeoffry, even "when his day's work is done" (23), continues to work in God's grace by keeping the Devil at bay with his "electrical skin & glaring eyes" (25). This use of diction seems absurd, and one wonders if Smart is not fooling his audience all along. Echoing William Blake's "The Tiger" and his Four–Fold Vision by the vivid descriptions of his "Angel Tiger" (29), Smart hints that there exist multiple layers in "My Cat Jeoffry". Without a doubt, Jeoffry's life can be paralleled to that of humankind. However, what kind of person does Smart speak of? Is Smart truly praising those who are devoted to God, or is he criticizing those who are over–zealous in their devotions? Given the knowledge of Smart's background, ... Although their lives have taken different paths, one thing remains unchanged. Manolo and Joaquin both want to marry Maria. Little does the trio know that a battling god and goddess have made a high–stakes wager on the love triangle's outcome. The Book of Life is a wonderfully animated film about Dia de Los Muertos. It combines both Mexican folklore, ancient mythology, and pop culture. I believe this a brilliant film and that children of the ages 4 and up should be allowed to watch. Monola is a great example of, the courage to be yourself and follow your dreams, one of the many themes the movie possesses. Culture is very prevalent ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The New Testament uses bear out that division, with Rom.2:29, 13:3; I Cor.4:5, II Cor.8:18, I Pet.1:7 and 2:14 referring to praise accorded to people, and Eph.1:6,12,14; Phil.1:11, and possibly 4:8 to the praise of God.[viii] Second is the verb aineo, which makes 9 appearances. This too, classically, spoke of "praise or approval, and a recommendation or advice", as well as "a way courteously to decline an invitation." It is a very frequent admonition in the LXX, describing or urging praises to God, although it is also used disparagingly of praises to pagan gods. Aineo describes the praises of the heavenly host announcing Jesus' birth (Lk.2:13), the awe–struck shepherds (Lk.2:20), and the jubilant crowd on Palm Sunday (Lk.19:37), as well as the constant praises offered by the empowered disciples both before (Lk.24:53) and after Pentecost (Ac.2:47), and the joyful celebration of the healed man in Ac.3:8. Rom.15:11 is quoted from the LXX, and Rev.19:5 casts "a voice from the throne" as a holy cheerleader calling both small and great to praises. Epaineo, the verb form of epainos, common in the LXX, is less so in the New Testament, translated 4x "praise", and once each "laud" and "commend." All but the LXX quote in Rom.15:11 refer to people – most of whom (I Cor.11:17,22, and Lk.16:8) were not behaving very well. Its classical definitions are very parallel to those listed for the noun.[ix] Finally, we have the four appearances of humneo: "to sing praises, to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Frederick Douglass Rhetorical Analysis "Where justice is denied, where poverty is enforced, where ignorance prevails, and where any one class is made to feel that society is in an organized conspiracy to oppress, rob, and degrade them, neither persons nor property will be safe"– Frederick Douglass Frederick Douglass is a remarkable figure when it comes to describe and expose the outcome of the oppression in the black race since memorable times seen and experienced through the centuries expressed in slavery, racism and mistreat. In "The Meaning of Fourth of July for the Negro", Douglass states the values of not only a race but a human being in his speech, by allowing himself to represent and describe the meaning behind it by using juxtaposition, irony and imagery to fight ... Showing comparison but most important, a point of view; which stand out his anger and his will to end the slavery comparing the rejoice of ones, and the pain of others at the same time. Independence comes wide a wide range of definitions, varying in its point of view and analysis from perspectives in scenarios that give the most fit definition. Being a memorable date where good things happened and the beginning of a new government with freedom and justice as its standards is emerging. A word which is defined by freedom in all means. A definition of open doors to new changes for better. In many eyes, these statements apply and for other do not. Douglass uses juxtaposition to denote his anger and demands to widen and bring the attention of his public: "The sunlight that brought light and healing to you, has brought stripes and death to me. This Fourth July is yours, not mine. You may rejoice, I must mourn. To drag a man in fetters into the grand illuminated temple of liberty, and call upon him to join you in joyous anthems, were inhuman mockery and sacrilegious irony"–Douglass.
