2. What is EXCEL?
The term excel is derived from X+L which means Exchange + Leadership. The
objective of this program is to give a diverse experience to the EPs while they are on
exchange.
AIESEC Members from partner countries can apply for the EXCEL Program. EXCEL is
kind of a modification of a CEED and IXP and ensures a wholesome AIESEC as well as
exchange experience.
This program is run by iGCDP of AIESEC India in collaboration with oGCDP of partner
countries in this program.
3. Why EXCEL?
The EXCEL Program offers members on exchange an opportunity to create greater
impact during their internship. The member will not only be creating social impact via
the project they are working on but also develop and enhance their entrepreneurial
and leadership skills.
EXCEL provides a cultural experience and at the same time a truly enriching AIESEC
experience.

6. The Procedure
1. Match & Job Role Finalization: Getting matched to a suitable TN where the host entity is
willing to provide additional role which aligns to national XL JD.
2. Expectation & Goal Setting: The XL & the host LC defining & clarifying a) Roles &
Responsibilities b) MOS of the Programme c) Expectations & Conditions.
3. Training & Preparation: XL being trained & prepared by the the support of LCVP iGCDP &
other exchangers.
4. Realization & Excel Initiation: The XL is completed. He/she sends the initial and final
reports to the member committee at the start and the end of the internship respectively.
7. Who can apply?
1. Not every EP can apply for this. Only for IXPs.
2. The IXP should be an AIESECer with at least 3 months of AIESEC experience.
3. The IXP should have considerable knowledge and experience in their respective portfolio.
4. The IXP must go through training and preparation before they become XLs.
