Role: Migration Consultant
Description:
Being the 1st
resource as mail migration consultant for email migration, I was involved in
migrating all Lotus Notes users from their GSK Domino domain. We had to Migrate
server-based mailbox data: email, calendar, tasks and contacts. GSK ensured users have an
account in the GSK or Biologics AD forests that are populated with required attributes.
MSO Messaging determined the correct hardware solution based on the customer’s specific
requirements for availability, performance, and features. Mailbox provisioning was
controlled by the migration tool modifying the attributes of User objects in GSK’s Active
Directory domain. Pilot Migrations will be reviewed and documented, User mailboxes
(~118,000), Rooms and Resources (~2,220), Contacts (0), Mail Groups (~26,000) and Mail-in
Databases (~6,765) in GSK’s IBM Lotus Notes messaging system were migrated
successfully. Some of the tools used for migration were Microsoft Transporter Suite,
MMSSPP, Binary Tree CMT Universal, Binary Tree CMT for Coexistence, MSO Scripts for
Notes to AD Dirsync to keep directories synchronized
