Abstract
This study aims to explain the concept of
substitution in the grammar syntax of morphogy of
Arabic whether at the level of the sentence the
noun(ism) the viber (fi3l) the preposition(7arf)the
letter or the morpheme. Substituution in Arabic
differs from one branch to another i.e substititution
in syntax differs from substitution in morphology
and so on. The study followed the descriptive
analytic approach in reviewing the literature
relevant to the issue of substitution in Arabic
andits various branches .The most important
results showed that the verb does not substitute
anything else, because the tense is part of it ,the
orthographic letter dose not substitute the word ,
because it is part of its structure.
