There are many thriller subgenres. They are characterized by the
moods they portray for example Action-Thriller who give the viewers
excitement and surprise. Other genres such as Physiological-Thriller
portray the characters as more mysterious and sometimes you don’t
know who is the good guy or the bad guy.
Thrillers catch the attention of the audience straight away by often
confusing and adding puzzling ideas and clues. This hooks them and
makes them try and solve it, as you give them small hints and clues.
Ideas like the red herrings, plot twists, and cliffhangers are used
extensively. This is where villains thrive and are often the driving
force for these ideas.
