1. The clothing is baggy,
casual and ill-fitting this
shows that the characters
have little interest in their
own appearance, showing
they have higher priorities,
which are mainly their
business. The clothing also
divides them from the rest
of the gang who wear
suits, this shows he is of
lower status.
•The camera shot is
of a medium close
up with the
antagonist standing
on the left side of
the screen
The make-up used on the characters is very
minimal although we wanted him to look
rough and almost unhygienic, he had a
stubble which is typically seen as dirty, much
like the long hair on the character below.
Both handling/testing drugs,
showing they have a role in
the gangsters business that is
dangerous
The location is quiet and
empty which is typical for
a gangster genre as it
allows the character to get
away with things such as
crime and smuggling.
Difference:
•The actors are of a different age, so
their characters experience in the
drug business may be different.
•The setting for our opening scene in
this shot is set outside where there is
a higher chance of being caught out
or seen, where as in this lock, stock
and two smoking barrels scene it is
set in a private laboratory where they
are safe and are at low risk of being
found out.
