I looked up Teen Titans and Warner bros for my research along with images of storyboards and animatics. I typed up a profile about Teen Titans after doing
research into the show and gathered a few images from the show as well as Warner Bros. I also typed a profile about Warner Bros.
2. I also looked at various animatics for inspiration and ideas. This helped me with timing and gave me an idea of how detailed the characters should look.

I looked at images of fighting sequences and paused on certain frames of animated fighting scenes for inspiration. I did a few rough sketches of the action poses
of characters.

I researched the personalities and appearance of superheroes and supervillains, I looked at character profiles and looked at images of character designs and
concept art.

I continued my research by looking at images and videos of Teen Titans and doing rough sketches as small practice.

I asked various people what they thought of my idea and the majority of the people who said they would watch it were people who had watched the show when
it was on tv, both male and female.

I started to create moodboards to get ideas for my plan. I used various images from shows made by Warner Bros and other Superhero shows to get ideas of how
the characters look and stand. (Images are on blogger)

I began to come up with some character designs for the villain by looking at various supervillains and their styles. After getting the result I wanted, I used tracing
paper to get a much more finished looking design. The pencil I used was a H pencil since it was sharper. The character I decided would have lightning powers and
would have an electric blue colour scheme.

3. I changed my villain character name to Frost and the element to ice. This was because my character was too similar to the character I was using as inspiration. I
then decided that the character looked more like a fire type after hearing feedback from people I had shown him to. I again changed the logo design on the
characters costume to a flame and changed the colour scheme to warm colours such as orange, red and yellow. I changed the name to Blaze.

I did the same thing for the hero character but I struggled more with the superhero. The features had to be softer than the villains and I wanted them to be
standing in a heroic stance. I also struggled to come up with a hairstyle so I gave the character a hooded cloak after looking at images of cloaks. The name of the
hero is Lux and their colour scheme is white and blue.

Having both the hero and villain designs, I drew their faces with different expressions and practiced drawing them in different positions for the animatic, I tried
to make it look as detailed as possible.
Date: 19.04.14
I continued to practice making an animatic but this time I didn’t have any detail and it was just the structures of humans. This helped me to figure out the action
poses and proportions of the characters.
Date: 28.04.14
After this I I took a few Teen Titans clips and decreased the speed so I could see the video frame by frame. I used this as reference to my animation. I used
tracing paper to draw out the structure of the characters in action. I concentrated on one character at a time, mainly Blaze at first since his actions were a lot
harder to work with. I went over the structures of the character to add in slight detail such as expressions and clothing to add more depth to the characters. The
tracing paper acted as a guide so that the clothes looked the same in each frame.

After I made the practice animatics, I started to create frames for the real animatic and come up with ideas for fighting sequences by drawing out in pencil
different fighting scenarios. I looked at clips from Teen Titans for ideas of a fighting scene.

4. When I was happy with the results, I went over the characters in fine liner to give them a more polished look. I then went back to improve my character designs.
Date: 19.05.14
I scanned my frames and put them together in photoshop, I changed the opacity of the frame before so I could line them up neatly. I then saved the ordered
frames into a gif.
