Project Based Learning
1. Project based learning is important in the classroom because it makes the students
actually interested and engaged in a project. Students also enjoy making their own choices in the
projects they create. They get to decide how they work, how they use their time, and what the
project will even be about. Students have an in-depth inquiry where they are engaged in a
discussion of asking important questions to understand a topic fully. They also use outside
resources to develop answers thoroughly; they think critically and also think together to generate
a greater response. “Two heads is better than one.” Project based learning is an indicator that
students do indeed have the ability to think on their feet. The students also gain organizational
skills. The projects they complete can range from making robots, to making WebQuests, to
simply creating an educational, purposeful poster letting people become aware of a certain topic.
Every project needs to be personally meaningful.
