aboutchildrightsand respectforchildren’srights,violence againstchildren,discrimination,free time,
play,sportsand cultural activities,streetchildren,educationandthe environment.
The children'sreportwassubmittedtothe UN Committee onthe Rightsof the Child,aspart of the
periodicreportingprocessonthe implementationof the Conventiononthe Rightsof the Childin
Macedoniaand itwill be presentedduringthe 88th pre-sessionof the Committee inFebruary2021.

Childrenemphasizethe needforactivitiestoincrease awarenessof children'srightsandthe Convention
on the Rightsof the Child,bothamongchildrenandadults.
The childrenstate thattheyare victimsof variousformsof violence onadailybasis,amongwhichpeer
violence isthe mostcommon,andemphasize thatschoolsshoulddomuchmore to educate childrento
preventthistype of violence.
2. Discriminationbasedonage,gender, ethnicity,financial statusof the familyandphysical appearance is
verycommon.Therefore,childrenrecommendtakingurgentmeasurestoeradicate discriminationand
social exclusionof all childrenwhohave beenexposedtoit.
The lack of facilitiesforspendingtheirleisure time productivelyandparticipate insportsandcultural
activitiesisparticularlypronouncedinrural andsmallerurbanareas.The childrenemphasizethatmore
attentionshouldbe paidtothisfieldandsuchactivitiesandplaces shouldbe createdincooperation
withthe childrensothat theycan be alignedwiththeirneeds.
Streetchildrenare a particularlyvulnerable groupandtheydonot evenenjoybasichumanrights.Inthe
report,the childrenemphasize thatthe institutions mustdomuchmore to helpstreetchildrenandtheir
families.
There are numerousproblemsinthe educationsystem, includingpoorqualityof teaching,insufficient
care for hygiene,inadequate conditionsforchildrenwithdisabilities,andinsufficientcare forchildren's
mental health.Childrenthinkthatthese problemsmustbe givenpriority!
Pollutedair,especiallyinwinterdays,aswell asillegal landfills,factoriesnearsettlementsare some of
the environmental problemsfacedbychildrenandtheybelievethatthere isneithersufficient
