4. Vaidhi-Sadhana-Bhakti is more than practice
Practice indicates that you can do it by
repetition on your own....rather the Spiritual
Master as the expert, prescribes a specific
program for the disciple which, when
practiced with determination and sincerity,
will cleanse the heart and thus result in the
awakening of one’s dormant
love of Krsna.

Even if one has attraction and
attachment for material things
if he gets faith in Krsna by
association with Mahatmas
he can develop unflinching
attraction to Krishna
By the association of
Mahatmas, great
souls....one may gain a little
bit of attraction for the
Lord...This is a sign of great
fortune

UTTAMA ADHIKARI -- Highest level
Faith Knowledge

regulations under the training
of a bona fide spiritual master
with sincere obedience.
•Presents conclusions with
perfect discretion
•Knows perfectly the
ultimate goal of life is to
attain loving service to
Krsna.
•Can attain understanding on
the basis of arguments and
reason based on scripture
•Can offer strong scriptural
arguments against opposition
7. Madyama Adhikari- Middle level
FAITH
•Strong
•Internally undaunted
in his determination
•Has firm faith in the
objective of attaining
pure love of Krsna

•Firmly convinced
•May sometimes fail to
offer arguments based
on sastra to an
opposing party.
8. Kanishta Adhikari- Beginning Level
Faith
•Is not strong
•Can be changed by
strong arguments from
the opposition
•Of four varieties

•Does not have clear
knowledge of the Sastra.
•Can be elevated to the
madyama or uttama level by
association with advanced
devotees.
•Does not realize the
conclusions of the Sastra
but has some understanding

1. Arta – the distressed (Gajendra)
2. Artharthi – the desirer of wealth (Dhruva Maharaj)
3. Jijnasu – the inquisitive (Shaunaka)
4. Jnani – the wise (Four Kumaras)
12. 1. One aspiring for pure devotion to Krsnarejects Bhukti,
(sense gratification) and Mukti (liberation)
2. The devotees of Krishnain Vrndavanaonlywant to hear about the Lord
and theyreject all other types of Liberation
Their hearts are filled with the Lord and they
want nothing else!
13. One who merges into the existence of
the Supreme without keeping their
individuality has no chance of hearing
and chanting the glories of the Supreme
Lord.
14. Rejection of Bhukti and Mukti par. 1-24
Prthu Maharaj – If liberation will keep me from the honey of Your
Lotus feet then I do not want any type of liberation. Please give me
millions of ears and mouths so that I can hear and chant Your
glories. SB 4:20:24
15. King Bharat left everything
and just focused on the
Supreme Lord SB 5:14:44
Lord Siva: Those who are devoted to Lord
Narayana are not afraid of anything….any
position in the material word is as good as
any other.
16. My dear friends, coming from
Atheistic families, If the
Supreme Lord Krsna is pleased
with you, then any desire you
may have within the core of
your heart can be filled without
any doubt.
17. “All of the previous instructions of Srila
Rupa Gosvami in chapter 4 can be
summarized thus: As long as one is
materially inclined or desirous of
merging into the spiritual effulgence,
one cannot enter into the realm of

The Purity of Devotional Service.
The execution andperfection of Devotional Service is not
dependent on any material consideration.
19. Five stages of Liberation
1. To live on the same planet as the Lord-
Salokya
2. To obtain the same bodily features as the
Lord-- Sarupya
3. To have the same opulence as the Lord--
Sarishti
4. To have constant association as the Lord--
Samipya
5. To become one with the Lord-- Sayujya
This type of liberation is never acceptable to one aspiring
for pure devotional service.
