Indian Guru Jagadguru Kripalu Maharaj's Biography and Life Story Jagadguru Kripalu Maharaj is one of India's most revered spiritual leaders. THE FIRST STEP
Every individual soul is an eternal servant of the Supreme Soul, Shri Krishna. To obtain
the service of Shri Krishna with a view to serving Him for His happiness alone is
therefore the ultimate goal of all living beings.
This ceaseless selfless service will be bestowed upon an individual soul only after he
receives the divine love of Shri Krishna. Such Iove can be attained only through the
grace of a Guru (shrotriya brahmanishtha rasika), one who has thorough knowledge
of all Vedic scriptures with the ability to impart that knowledge, and who is also one
with Shri Krishna, having realised Him.
The grace of a Rasika Guru will be showered only after the individuals mind and heart
is completely pure. The process to attain complete purity of heart and mind is
possible only by strictly adhering to the instructions of your Guru during preliminary
devotion, sadhana bhakti.
Thus, surrendering one's mind to the Guru and engaging in devotional practice under
his guidance in order to cleanse the heart and mind, is the all-important first step and
in fact a mandatoryrequirement.

For the next fourteen years Shri Maharaj Ji travelled extensively all over
northern India delivering discourses and series of speeches for seven to ten
days, detailing and describing the true path of God-realisation. He would
speak at public halls and other local venues and also give huge outdoor
programmes as well, attended by 50,000 people or more. While giving public
speeches, Shri Maharaj Ji also distributed indescribable bliss through his
enthralling nama and lila sankirtans.
