The design of this interdisciplinary experiential project was based on the need to offer a higher quality of education and the search for ways to connect school with life. In particular, the starting point was to link the pedagogical dimension of its implementation with the technological one, so that the participating teachers could develop professionally and the students could reap the greatest possible benefits. Ways were sought so as to study the subject in a multifaceted way, combining as many scientific fields as possible, in order to help students develop language literacy, communication skills and intercultural awareness.

Rationale of the scenario
The design of this interdisciplinary/interdisciplinary experiential project was based
on the need to offer a higher quality of education and the search for ways to
connect school with life. In particular, the starting point was to link the
pedagogical dimension of its implementation with the technological one, so that
the participating teachers could develop professionally and the students could
reap the greatest possible benefits. Ways were sought so as to study the subject
in a multifaceted way, combining as many scientific fields as possible, in order to
help students develop language literacy, communication skills and intercultural
awareness.
The implementation was based on the socio-cultural dimension of knowledge and
on the active - experiential, student-centred form of learning by adopting the
model of collaborative group teaching. In order to create a digital culture, ICT was
used and the participants in roles similar to the theory of the four-resource model
worked in educational environments in order to achieve the communicative
purpose of language use, the development of critical and social literacy and the
2. transformation of knowledge. The completion and presentation of the generated
results at the end of the activities provided an opportunity for self-evaluation at
group level and hetero-evaluation by the plenary, allowing for feedback and
possible interventions.
Expected learning outcomes
Students in relation to the subject matter are expected to:
understand digital multimodal text of authentic information
discourse about their city and be able to formulate information in
written or spoken form in simple sentences in the target language
collect information about places from information texts and
classify it
to convey the general meaning of one or more texts
use vocabulary (nouns and adjectives) to describe the place where
they live using present and past tense verbs
write interpersonal communication texts (email) using information
from different sources (visual material, texts)
In particular, they are expected to develop:
visual literacy to decode information on web sites and select
material for the presentation of their site
critical literacy to select the elements that will enable them to
compose their own multimodal texts
information literacy to search, analyse and select information from
suggested websites
In relation to the learning process and knowledge of the world they are expected
to:
3. perceive the use of language as a social practice and understand
that multilingualism favours the enrichment of the linguistic
repertoire
acquire social and cultural knowledge through a new way of seeing
the world and human behaviour
to develop social literacy through active participation, interaction
and dialogue in groups
be introduced to the process of 'learning how to learn
to develop the ability to analyse and compile information
