message into
Situation (Who,When, Where and whats your goal?),
Complication (Things to overcome, what happens?),
Resolution (Decisions made, Problems solved) &
Takeaway (Reason, moral etc)

How should a STORY be?
• Have ABNORMALITY/UNUSUALITY however, should be genuine though
• Should have aTWIST -- Providing customer loyalty
• Audience able to feel, hear, smell situation – Paint vibrant pictures
• Should be CRISP -- Don’t clutter
• Capture listener attention -- Builds interest in the story
• Have deadline in the story -- Creates urgency, suspense
• Touch people’s emotions -- Hero/heroine, give a name to the person
• Obstacles -- Fortunate, clever to overcome obstacles
• Meaning -- Reason why the story was told, should be able to relate

FRAMEWORK of a STORY -
• Not too much details needed --- Ex.Tell about a project
• Straight to the challenge --- Ex. An issue with the project
affecting users
• Emotional response --- Ex. What happens due to the issue ?
• Corrective actions --- Ex. What were they thinking to correct
• Outcome --- Ex. What did their managers say
• Emotional outcome response -What was the takeaway --- How
did he/she feels

GOLDEN rules of a STORYTELLER -
a) Make eye contact, Connect with audience
b) Laugh with them, Play an ACT with them
c) Silence is golden - Build suspense, For them to catch up
d) Physical gestures, facial expressions – Body / Face is a best
communicator
e) Move when appropriate - Step towards the audience,To
enhance your story
f) Avoid monotone - Alter your voice to create mood and tone
g) Have fun - Enjoy your chance to tell the story
h)And FINALLY - Practice, Practice, Practice!!!
