2. The jingle In our radio broadcast we aimed to show our idea’s around upbeat, lively and chatty Radio 1 shows such as the Chris Moyles and rock fm breakfast show with graeme and jude. Here in the introductory jingle I believe we have used general conventions of usual radio stations that are in-keeping with the Radio 1 and rock fm style. The jingle is cheerful and energetic, setting the tone and the style of the broadcast to come. This introduces the audience not only to the name of the show and the hosts, but the general theme.
3. Vox pop and interviews Here we have used and developed the usual conventions of real media like Radio 1 broadcasts, in using a diverse range of people to voice our Vox pops. You can clearly hear a mixed variety of people with different dialects, for example we used a young person so get an understanding from the younger generation, we also used and older lady as we can get a point of view from the older generation. This will appeal to the target audience of our broadcast as we aim to reach listeners aged 15-50 from all different backgrounds and classes. We feel that having such a big target audience will allow us more people to want to listen to the radio broadcast. This is also shown in our interview , were we have two very different voices talking to each other , this will attract different people from all different backgrounds and classes.
13. up radioAfter trying out the names whilst recording our show we decided Starz Fm was the best choice as it was a bright lively name and easily remembered. Therefore our target audience can relate to it.
14. Presenters and structure We thought the main presenters had to be both a female and male so attract both genders to the show, as we wanted to make the show lively and up beat we decided to add lots of interaction between the 2 presents who worked well together. As we also had entertainment news and sports news, we felt that the entertainment should be presented by a female and the sport by a male, as this will attract to the target audience better and fit in with the main trend of radio shows. Sports headlines: We decided to include a clip from the boxing mentioned to try and recreate the elated and exhilarating feel from the fight. We believe that this does use conventions of real media products as speech from commentary and crowd from a fight is often heard on radio sport broadcasts.
