Road Superway Project is South Australia’s most
complex engineering road construction project
to date. The South Road Superway Project is a
stage two of the north-south transport corridor
upgrade delivering a 4.8 km non-stop corridor
comprising of a 2.8 km elevated roadway
connecting the Port River Expressway to
Regency Road.
3. During this project, Naveesh was involved in the
construction of Intelligent Traffic System (ITS)
infrastructure. He was working solely on its
foundation, including Conduit and pit installation,
light pole footing, traffic signal footings and
footings for off alignment works. These works were
to be completed before they were handed over to
ITS ( Intelligent Traffic System Projects) sub-
contractors. Naveesh was also overseeing the ITS
sub-contractors along with his Project Engineer.
4. Nav was hired as Site Engineer by John Holland
which is a Tier 1 Construction Company having
its forefront of Australia’s infrastructure,
building, and rail markets.

5. Installation of conduit and junction pits along the main
alignment and feeder roads using trenching and under-
boring methods.
Light Pole Installation works on main alignment and
the feeder road.
Installation Traffic Signal on the main intersections.
Installation of cable trays, light poles, signage, and
gantries on the elevated structure.
6. Installation of power and communication
cabling on the main alignment and elevated
structure to connect with the Signage –
Gantries, VMS and CMS Signs and ITS devices
– Detectors, Loops, Camera and other devices.
Installation of Off-alignment signage –
Gantries, VMS and CMS Signs.
Installation of ITS devices – Detectors, Loops,
Camera and other devices.
7. Key responsibilities (not outlined above)
included, but were not limited to OH&S, safety
inspections, manage to the schedule of current
works, making sure the project forecast fit
scheduling of work, financing and maintaining
all work ran smoothly by taking care of any
incidents that may have arisen.
