The R/C get to define what crime means. This means
that they can use their definition of crime to create
laws that protect their private property

5. Other Laws protect Private Property in
Different ways:
Laws are therefore not an expression of
Value Consensus (as in Functionalism) but
a reflection of R/C Dominant Ideology.

6. Althusser (1971) argues that these laws are
enforced and legitimized through both Repressive
State Apparatus & Ideological State
Apparatus.

7. It is important to remember that Crime & Deviance is spread
fairly evenly through the class structure.
However, it seems like the W/C commit more crime simply
because the R/C get to dictate the definition of crime as well as
create laws.
