• Critical thinking is exercising sound reasoning in understanding and
making complex choices by applying, analyzing, synthesizing, and/or
evaluating information gathered from observation, experience,
reflection, reasoning, and communication.

• To pick out theories and arguments
• To be able to communicate and justify
• To solve different kinds of non-familiar problems in both conventional and innovative ways
• Open-mindedness regarding divergent world views
• Self-confidence in one’s abilities to reason
4. ROLE IN 21ST CENTURY
• Plays the role of success and growth of thought processes, decision-
making, curiosity, and learning capabilities.
5. IMPLEMENTING TECHNOLOGY
• Photoshop: a student can take a picture and make changes to make a cartoon look real
• WebQuest: a student follows the directions of a webquest and learns more about the unit
plan
• Blogger: students interact with each other at school and at home through blogging websites
• Twitter: students interact and follow a twitter page made by their teacher for their class to
keep up to date on things revolving class and activities
• Arts & Bots: students’ arts and bots must be critically thought out in order to work properly
6. PROMOTING CRITICAL THINKING
WebQuest
• Being able to understand how to research for credible sources and apply them
• Putting different information together in order to generate an informed idea
• To be able to form an opinion and justify it
• Reflecting on the information learned in order to come to a conclusion
7. CONCLUSION
• Raises vital questions and problems
• Critical thinkers think open-mindedly by recognizing different assumptions, implications,
and practical consequences
• With critical thinking, conclusions are tested with relevant criteria and standards
• Communication is effective in figuring out solutions to complex problems
