1. According to Herzberg’s Two-Factor Theory, the work itself
could be considered a motivator.
2. In Hertzberg’s Two-Factor Theory, salary is considered a
hygiene factor.
3. In McGregor’s Theory X and Theory Y, workers managed
under Theory X are viewed as generally lazy
and require direction.
4. Hygiene factors do not necessarily motivate, but they do
prevent dissatisfaction.
5. You are designing an incentive program for the staff. For
every one percent improvement in customer
satisfaction employees will receive a $25.00 quarterly bonus.
This is an example of positive
reinforcement.
6. Positive reinforcement is the most effective method of
modifying behavior.

Hygiene factors do not necessarily motivate, but they do prevent dissatisfaction. 5. You are designing an incentive program for the staff.
