Sowing Seeds, Harvesting Hope - Discussion Guide

With five distribution centers and hundreds of partners across southeast Michigan, Gleaners seeks to end the hunger crisis by providing access to good food, along with other necessary resources. Gleaner's Hunger-Free Summer program tackles the issue of children who suffer from hunger during the summer when they no longer have free or low-cost breakfasts and lunches provided to them at school. CSA Scholarships

Our mission is to connect farmers, local businesses, and the community to build a sustainable local food economy with fair prices and wages. We do this through our website Fresh.org, which allows farmers to sell products online to local businesses. We also run awareness campaigns using photography and video to educate the public about the benefits of local sustainable farming and support for local economies.

NNY Regional Local Foods Initiative
