• allows young people to create dynamic profiles (alternative CVs)
highlighting their skills;
• focuses on skills supporting youth with little or no work history;
• matches their everyday activities with work skills and describes them in
the language of employers;
• supports online content development and collaborative group projects;
• can be viewed in any of the system 17 languages to facilitate cross-
border recruitment
• supports three sectors of employer: large, SME, and entrepreneur – they
can search for suitable candidates with specific skills in a certain location
 a social media campaign with attractive viral messages
 has high level EU political & industry engagement
 meets EU economic & social priorities

3. Registration Process
Register Step 1: Create account
Register Step 2: Your details
Register Step 3 – activity select
(Creates Diamond)
The first drop down menu shows
the categories of activities, the
second menu displays the
individual activities
Register - select activities
The second drop-down menu
displays the individual activities
within the chosen category
Choose as many activities as you like and then click the Finish button.
You can always change the chosen activities and add others later
Registration - finish

The user has to follow the
validation email link to enable
their account

Please encourage the new users to check their messages! In the first day they
should have a message waiting for them with useful tips on using the website

group is the largest
segment.
Click on each segment
title and see the list of
corresponding skills in
the bubbles

  • 4. http://YouRock.Jobs  an exciting online youth employability platform, which • allows young people to create dynamic profiles (alternative CVs) highlighting their skills; • focuses on skills supporting youth with little or no work history; • matches their everyday activities with work skills and describes them in the language of employers; • supports online content development and collaborative group projects; • can be viewed in any of the system 17 languages to facilitate cross- border recruitment • supports three sectors of employer: large, SME, and entrepreneur – they can search for suitable candidates with specific skills in a certain location  a social media campaign with attractive viral messages  has high level EU political & industry engagement  meets EU economic & social priorities What is YouRock?

They can see how their everyday activities are transformed into real work skills  They learn the language of employers; they learn to present their experience in an attractive way  They can add links to their online content to confirm their skills  At the same time it can encourage them to create this content to show their skills Why should young people use it?

Target age range 16-30 Everyday activities create a personalized ‘diamond’ reflecting users’ main skills. 120 activities matched with 100 work skills e.g. makes clothing: patient, methodical, designs, expressive, visualizes, attends to detail. Generates a dynamic “cloud” of specific skills. Also traditional resume, portfolio, endorsements, blog & social media feed Skills discovery in the language of employers

  • 21. Resources This is the page for intermediary organizations (those working with youth) to help them use YouRock in their work and support young people in creating their profiles

  • 29. Register Step 3 – activity select (Creates Diamond) The first drop down menu shows the categories of activities, the second menu displays the individual activities
  • 30. Register - select activities The second drop-down menu displays the individual activities within the chosen category Choose as many activities as you like and then click the Finish button. You can always change the chosen activities and add others later
  • 32. Registration Email in Your Mailbox The user has to follow the validation email link to enable their account
  • 34. First view of Profile Please encourage the new users to check their messages! In the first day they should have a message waiting for them with useful tips on using the website
  • 35. Main Profile View - Diamond and Bubbles User skills are displayed in a ‘diamond’ graphic. The strongest skill group is the largest segment. Click on each segment title and see the list of corresponding skills in the bubbles

  • 40. Request an Endorsement A potential endorser will get an automatic email with the request to endorse your skill and your proposed text. They will have to follow the link, which gets them to the form, where they can approve, amend, or reject endorsement

  • 44. View Connections Here you can see updates from your connections (your followers and those who you follow) and manage them
