This document summarizes literature on e-democracy and e-participation initiatives. It presents two case studies of government-led e-participation: a youth engagement program in Milton Keynes, UK that used social media to involve young people in local decision-making; and Iceland's constitutional crowdsourcing following its financial crisis, which used online tools to gather public input on constitutional reforms. The analysis finds that e-democracy requires continuous, transparent engagement between governments and multiple citizens using online and offline methods to achieve policy goals. For e-participation to emerge from government, there must be civic pressure for change, a shift in government culture to accept new forms of civic involvement, and a redistribution of power that allows

Remote research can raise the quality and lower the costs of your user research efforts; using a combination of surveys, video, screensharing, and phone, you can connect with a much broader range of users than you could using traditional lab-based usability tests, while using resources more efficiently than you would doing contextual research. In this workshop-style talk, Juliette Melton will cover recruiting sources, technology tools, and caveats you might not have thought of, including managing time zones and participant distraction. We will also address pros and cons of increasingly popular non-scripted research services.

YouRock Support Guide and Workshop Plan Ian Clifford
YouRock is a free online tool to help young people aged 16-30 improve their employability. It allows users to build a public profile showcasing their skills and qualifications. Profiles can be viewed in multiple languages. The profile building process involves identifying existing skills, getting skills endorsed by adults, and linking online content demonstrating each skill. Creating an online portfolio in this way can encourage behavior change by helping users view their digital skills and content in a career-focused way. Building an initial profile takes about 30 minutes, while fully developing content for each skill can take weeks. The tool aims to connect users to career opportunities and potential employers.
YouRock is an online platform that allows youth to create dynamic profiles highlighting their skills gained from everyday activities. Users select activities that are then matched to work skills. This generates a visual "diamond" of their strongest skill areas. Users can build portfolios, get endorsements from others, and employers can search for candidates. The registration process involves selecting activities to populate the skills profile. Users can then edit their profile, skills, resume and other content. Employers and youth can connect through online messaging and search functions on the multilingual site.

YouRock is an online youth employability platform that focuses on helping youth aged 16-30 build skills profiles in 15 languages. Users complete activities that are matched to work skills, generating a "skills cloud" profile. YouRock has engaged stakeholders, built momentum through hackathons and PR, and plans further user and employer engagement through an autumn promotional campaign using social media, intermediaries, and ambassadors. The platform aims to help address high youth unemployment and skills shortages in Europe.
This document provides information about YouRock, a website that helps young people identify their hidden work skills by matching their activities to specific skills. It allows users to build a dynamic online profile displaying their skills. Employers can search profiles by skills. The document outlines YouRock's functionality, target audience, marketing and PR efforts. It notes the site has been successfully crowd-funded and sponsored by organizations like the European Commission and Liberty Global to help address youth unemployment across Europe by better matching young job seekers to open positions.
YouRock is a new online platform launching in March 2014 to help young people aged 15-24 identify, build, and showcase their work skills. Sponsored by Liberty Global and supported by the European Commission, YouRock aims to connect 900k young Europeans with digital skills to jobs by 2015. The platform allows users to match their activities to skills, create a dynamic "diamond" profile graphic, and be searchable to employers. It will initially launch in 17 languages across 22 European countries.
YouRock is a website that aims to help young Europeans aged 15-24 build online profiles showcasing their skills and achievements. It does this by guiding users through a three step process: 1) identifying latent skills, 2) getting endorsements from trusted adults for each skill, and 3) linking social media content demonstrating those skills. The goal is to encourage interest in ICT careers, help users recognize their existing skills, and act as a stepping stone in their early careers. An initial prototype is being developed and tested with plans for a full multilingual launch across 15 European countries in early 2014.
YouRock is a social network aimed at helping young people (ages 15-24) in Europe develop employability skills and recognize skills gained outside the workplace. It aims to fill the gap left by LinkedIn, which largely excludes this age group. YouRock will allow users to create an online profile showcasing their career aspirations, skills, and achievements. It hopes to engage 500,000 users in its first year across 11 European countries and become financially sustainable within three years through corporate sponsors and investors.
Ian Clifford, Chair of Telecentre-Europe, discussed e-inclusion efforts to bring the 290 million offline Europeans online. Telecentre-Europe works on digital skills and e-government initiatives like Get Online Week, which had over 200,000 participants in 10,000 telecentres across 47 countries in 2012. A survey of 53 e-inclusion organizations found that the top target groups served are the unemployed, seniors, and young adults, and the most common services offered are e-skills training, e-government services, and employment services. Most organizations collect user data like demographics and course attendance, with 70% having dedicated staff for data collection.
Telecentre Europe organized Get Online Week 2012, where over 200,000 people in 10,000 telecentres across 47 countries participated in activities to promote digital inclusion. The campaign was launched by Neelie Kroes and MEPs and received support from Microsoft and Liberty Global. Telecentre Europe represents 36 member organizations and over 30,000 telecentres across Europe. The document also promotes Skillage, an online assessment tool created by Telecentre Europe to support employability in young people. In its first few months, Skillage had over 12,000 users and is available in multiple languages across web and mobile platforms.
Telecentre Europe MIREIA workshop 2012Ian Clifford
Telecentre-Europe is a network that aims to increase the effectiveness of telecentres across Europe through advocacy, knowledge sharing, and capacity building among its 36 formal members from 25 countries. It also has over 450 informal members from over 100 organizations in over 50 countries. Telecentre-Europe works on policy areas around digital inclusion, supporting citizens and e-government through developing relevant skills for the digital economy. It organizes an annual summit and has run campaigns to promote getting citizens online.
Skillage is an online assessment tool that tests ICT and employability skills, which saw over 11,000 uses in its first month. It is available in 20 European languages across websites, Facebook, and smartphone browsers, and aims to support employability for young people. Developed by Telecentre-Europe with funding from Microsoft, Skillage uses cloud innovation to provide multilingual, multi-platform testing of skills in just a few short months.

How to Make a Field Mandatory in Odoo 17Celine George
In Odoo, making a field required can be done through both Python code and XML views. When you set the required attribute to True in Python code, it makes the field required across all views where it's used. Conversely, when you set the required attribute in XML views, it makes the field required only in the context of that particular view.
LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like
Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems

Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall
structure of plant communities across different temporal and spatial scales. These changes can
occur natural.
