Privacy is on everyone’s mind (not just the older, wealthier bracket). The pandemic has only accelerated these concerns, which marked 2020 as a significant year for data management. As businesses face new technological challenges amid COVID-19, the topic of privacy has drawn an increasingly bright spotlight. This sensitivity regarding data privacy has only been growing — and companies are responding accordingly.

DAMA Webinar - Big and Little Data QualityDATAVERSITY
While technological innovation brings constant change to the data landscape, many organizations still struggle with the basics: ensuring they have reliable, high quality data. In health care, the promise of insight to be gained through analytics is dependent on ensuring the interactions between providers and patients are recorded accurately and completely. While traditional health care data is dependent on person-to-person contact, new technologies are emerging that change how health care is delivered and how health care data is captured, stored, accessed and used. Using health care as a lens through which to understand the emergence of big data, this presentation will ask the audience to think about data in old and new ways in order to gain insight about how to improve the quality of data, regardless of size.

The technologies and people we are designing experiences for are constantly changing, in most cases they are changing at a rate that is difficult keep up with. When we think about how our teams are structured and the design processes we use in light of this challenge, a new design problem (or problem space) emerges, one that requires us to focus inward. How do we structure our teams and processes to be resilient? What would happen if we looked at our teams and design process as IA’s, Designers, Researchers? What strategies would we put in place to help them be successful? This talk will look at challenges we face leading, supporting, or simply being a part of design teams creating experiences for user groups with changing technological needs.

3 ways to boost your event ROI with techEventbrite
When it comes to increasing event ROI, there are difficult solutions, and then there are simple solutions. Event Chatter: How to Engage Your Audience Before, During & After Your EventEventbrite
With such a wide range of discussions happening online, it can be hard to figure out how to build a social media strategy that engages your audience and builds awareness of your event before, during and after the event. Eventbrite decided to tackle this problem for event organizers by partnering with social media analytics agency Mashwork to study how and when people talk about different types of events.
By analyzing over 25 million online conversations that took place over the span of a year, we discovered the type of content that event-goers are most inclined to share and when they share it. As a result, we found some surprising trends and some concrete takeaways for event organizers’ social media strategies.
In this webinar, you will learn:
What people are talking about online before, during and after events of all types
How events across all types compare to one another and what you can learn from each
How to better engage your audience before the event to increase awareness and ticket sales
How to better engage your attendees during the event to enhance the experience

Monthly Social Media News Update May 2024Andy Lambert
TL;DR. These are the three themes that stood out to us over the course of last month.
1️⃣ Social media is becoming increasingly significant for brand discovery. Marketers are now understanding the impact of social and budgets are shifting accordingly.
2️⃣ Instagram’s new algorithm and latest guidance will help us maintain organic growth. Instagram continues to evolve, but Reels remains the most crucial tool for growth.
3️⃣ Collaboration will help us unlock growth. Who we work with will define how fast we grow. Meta continues to evolve their Creator Marketplace and now TikTok are beginning to push ‘collabs’ more too.
Digital marketing is the art and science of promoting products or services using digital channels to reach and engage with potential customers. It encompasses a wide range of online tactics and strategies aimed at increasing brand visibility, driving website traffic, generating leads, and ultimately, converting those leads into customers.

getting bogged down in the
details, when people really just
wanted to sign up quicker.
—Easy Day Sports
26. We love Eventbrite’s social tools

Eventbrite Neon has enabled us to register
walk-ons at the event, which is probably
30% of our attendees. And we can now take
credit cards for raffle and auction items
during the event.

57. We love that Eventbrite has incorporated
Dynamic Bib into Eventbrite Neon. We really

until the starting gun goes off.
59. The Dynamic Bib assign feature is a game changer.
The days of spending hours pre-assigning bibs and having 20+
volunteers to hand out bibs at pre-race packet pick-up are gone.
It is the most innovative thing we’ve seen.
For putting on shorter races like 5Ks, it was important to keep
registration open as long as we could. With Dynamic Bib assign,
we can now leave online registration open all the way until the
gun goes off.

registration to boost donations

Tunnel to Towers
saw an
increase in fundraising per participant
after integrating Crowdrise and Eventbrite.
63. Our first year using Eventbrite and Crowdrise
was our most successful year yet. Last year it
took around six minutes to register and create
a fundraising page, and this year it dropped
down to two! Instead of sending people to
two platforms, a participant can register on
Eventbrite and immediately be asked if they
want to fundraise. It’s totally seamless.

instrumental in helping Wendy Walk
to raise funds on the go. We often
have events that are in public park
spaces where there is no access to
WiFi, and because the app works so
well with a cell phone, we can still
easily take credit card information
and raise money for research.”
