LEARNING OBJECTIVES
M At the end of the lesson, most pupils will be able to read the questions and find the matching answers.
C At the end of the lesson, most pupils will be able to ask and answer questions using Where … ?
I. PRE-LESSON
1. Write Holiday activities in the middle of the board with a circle around it.
2. Brainstorm words to create a bubble map.
3. Pupils can add other ideas of their own.
II. LESSON
DEVELOPMENT
1. Activity 1:
 Distribute worksheets. Use the pictures to elicit / teach understanding of Where … ?
 Play the recording. Pupils listen and read.
 In pairs, pupils try matching the questions and answers with the correct pictures.
 Elicit as a class.
2. Activity 2:
 Play the recording in sections.
 Pupils listen and repeat in chorus.
 Pupils practise in pairs.
3. Activity 3:
 Tell pupils that this is a memory game.
 Give them one minute to study the pictures in pairs.
 One pupil closes the Student’s Book. The other asks questions using: Where … ? The
first pupil answers: It’s / They’re in the (colour) bag.
4. Activity 4:
 Distribute worksheets.
 Pupils look at the pictures and match the questions with the answers.
 Check with the class.
III. POST LESSON
1. Pupils take out their classroom objects and take turns to place them in/on things on their
desks and to ask each other questions.
2. Provide an example, e.g. A: Where’s the blue pencil? B: It’s on your English book.
