When Can I Use My Phone?
IF USED RESPONSIBLY:
• You are permitted to use your cell phone in the cafeteria and courtyard
before school and during lunch period.

When Can’t I Use My Phone?
• You may NOT use your phone inside classrooms, unless specifically
permitted by the classroom teacher.
Audible sounds emitted from your device in the classroom, whether intentional or
not, will not be permitted.
• You may NOT use your phone in the hallways, cafeteria, courtyard or any
other area of the building after the tardy bell rings.
• If found to be using your device in a digitally irresponsible manner, your
device will be confiscated.
• Failure to comply with staff will result in immediate removal to your campus
administrator’s office and disciplinary consequences will be assigned.

8. HAIR & ACCESSORIES
• Clothing/hair styles, which in the judgment of the building administrators, pose a
health or safety hazard and/or disrupt the educational process are not permitted.
• Spiked accessories and/or chains are not permitted (wallets, etc)
• Hats, beanies, hoodies, or any other types of head covering garments are not
allowed on campus during school hours. They will be confiscated if seen during the
school day.
• Sunglasses may not be worn in the building.

9. TOPS
• May not wear:
• halters
• strapless garments
• spaghetti straps
• open underarm shirts
• clothes that expose the midriff or undergarments.

10. PANTS/SKIRTS/SHORTS/DRESSES
• Skirts and dresses must come to at least mid-thigh when the student is
seated.
• Any garment, regardless of what it is called, must be worn no shorter than
mid-thigh.
• Pants or shorts shall be appropriately sized and worn at the natural waistline.
• Inappropriate bottoms include, but is not limited to, cut-offs, pajamas, boxer
shorts

11. GENERAL ITEMS
• Any type of garment that can be interpreted as gang-related is
not allowed on campus during school hours or at any school-
related activity.
• Clothes, jewelry, and other accessories that contain suggestive,
inappropriate, or vulgar slogans or images, or advertise illegal
products, alcohol and/or tobacco, are prohibited.

12. CONSEQUENCES FOR VIOLATIONS
• Change your clothing
• All class time missed is considered an unexcused absence.
• Teachers and building administrators determine whether you are dressed
appropriately
• Repeated offenses may result in more serious disciplinary action such as ISS
and/or parent conference.

14. I SIGNED IT, BUT WHAT DOES IT
MEAN?
As a result of clear and compelling evidence of student’s cheating on a major grade:
• Receive a “0”, no retakes
• Receive a “U” in conduct
• Ineligible for next contest/game
• Ineligible for semester spring exemptions
• Reported on college application
• Immediately removed from advanced academic courses
• Immediately removed from any honor societies

15. HONOR CODE (CONT.)
The CCISD Board of Trustees approved the following policy in
regard to the eligibility of students who violate the honor code
within four semesters prior to graduation:
• May not be seated on the stage at graduation
• May not have a speaking role at graduation
• May still be designated valedictorian or salutatorian, but
will not be eligible to deliver a speech

during a test or exam without permission
from the teacher could constitute an honor
code violation.
