QUARTERLY ASSESSMENT
• A learner is always identified with the school he/she is
attending. The student of Tagumpay Nagaño High School
has the responsibility to protect the good image of the
school of which he/she is an essential part.
• He/she has the responsibility, when using the name of the
school, to conduct himself/herself with dignity and
deportment.
• Unnecessary boisterous noise is to be avoided in the
corridors.
• Eating and sleeping are never tolerated in the classroom
during class hours and inside the library.
• A learner of TNHS contributes his/her share in keeping the
school and the campus clean and tidy. Loitering and
vandalism shall be subject to disciplinary action.
• A learner of TNHS values property. He/she therefore
handles all equipment with reasonable care and uses the
chalkboard, LED TV and other school facilities and supplies
properly. Any damage to property or equipment resulting
from carelessness or inappropriate use shall be charged to
the erring learner.
• For protection and security within the campus, a learner
must always carry or wear his/her ID. This must be readily
presented upon request by the proper authorities.
• A learner of TNHS contributes his/her share in keeping the
school and the campus clean and tidy. Loitering and
vandalism shall be subject to disciplinary action.
• A learner of TNHS values property. He/she therefore

uniforms during academic and MAPEH days. On days when
they are not in uniform, they are expected to be properly
dressed in befitting attire.
• Male learners are not allowed to wear earrings, tattoos or
hair color other than black.
• Girls are likewise absolutely not allowed to wear make-up,
put on lipstick, tattoos and other unnecessary female
accessories that call undue attention or create distractions.
Those who persist after repeated warnings or ignore the
reminders given shall be subjected to a disciplinary
sanction, which may include immediate dismissal from the
school or denial of enrolment for the following school year.
• Membership in any secret associations, gangs or
fraternity/sorority is absolutely prohibited. Anyone who
promotes a secret association or fraternity/sorority within
the school campus or even outside shall be immediately
expelled from the school, anytime within the school year,
after due investigation and disciplinary process have been
conducted.
A learner represents the school through his/her uniform;
therefore he/she should wear it properly and neatly as
prescribed by the school.
1. Learners shall endeavor to keep the classroom and school
campus clean and neat at all times by making use of trash
containers provided.
2. Littering in all areas is strictly prohibited.
Classes are held between 7:20am to 3:40pm from Monday
to Friday.
 3:40pm-4:30pm is the time allotted for cleaning and
addressing of class concerns, if there are.
 Students are expected to be inside the school campus
before 7:00am for the flag raising ceremony every Monday
and before 7:20am on Tuesday to Friday.
 A thirty-minute health break in the morning and a one-
hour lunch break are given to students every day. Changes
in specific class schedules are always announced
accordingly.
A learner who represents the school should follow the school
rules, policies, and other instructions given by the school
authorities.
• He/she must avoid places like night clubs, drinking bars,
gambling joints and movie houses, especially when in uniform.
• Social functions held outside the school on weekends and
holidays are entirely out of the school’s jurisdiction. Therefore,
the school will not answer for any untoward incident that may
occur.
• They should never engage in activities that are scandalous in
nature.
• Learners should observe community rules and regulations.
• School uniform should not be worn with too much accessories,
costly jewelleries, and other unnecessary objects that call
undue attention or create distractions.
• Proper undergarment should be worn daily (white/skin-tone
brassieres and lady sando for girls, plain white T-shirt for
boys).
• Blouses/skirts may not be worn in combination with other
clothes to make dresses for casual wear.
• Rubber shoes, sandals and slippers are not allowed.
• No student may wear the uniform in public, unless permitted
by the Principal i.e., moviehouse, videoke/KTV bar, especially
in those places where the school’s and student’s reputation will
be affected adversely. Failure to follow this regulation will
mean a disciplinary action.
• P.E. uniform should be worn during MAPEH day only.
• The students who are not wearing the prescribed complete
uniform will be recorded by the Discipline Officer and will be
dealt with.
• On days when he/she is not in uniform, he/she is expected to
be properly dressed in attire befitting a learner of TNHS, that is,
modest and in good taste.
• Lavatory (Lav) Pass – This should be worn by a learner who
leaves the classroom to go to the restroom.
• Student Pass – This should be worn by a learner, if the teacher
so permits, for general reasons, e.g. to submit requirements or
to meet parents or guardians outside the building.
• A learner who incurs absences equivalent to more than 20% of
the prescribed number of class days during the school year
shall be dropped from the list.
• In case of absence, a learner should send a letter written by
the parent/guardian addressed to the teachers or present a
letter written by the parent/guardian on the day he/she reports
to class before he/she will be given credit for missed classroom
activities/quizzes/examinations.
• In case of 3 days of absence due to illness, a medical certificate
shall be presented to the adviser and subject teachers before
he/she will be given the chance to comply with his/her missed
classroom activities/quizzes/examinations.
The following are applied for the accumulated cases of absences of a
student without valid reasons:
• 3 cases of absences = conference between the learner and adviser
• 5 cases of absences = conference between the parent/guardian
and adviser
• 7 cases of absences = conference between the parent/guardian,
adviser and Discipline Coordinator
• 10 cases of absences = conference between the parent/guardian,
adviser and Principal
• A learner is marked “late” when he/she enters the school
campus 1 minute after the official time in the morning. 7:00 is
the official time every Monday and 7:20 from Tuesday to Friday.
• Three (3) cases of tardiness is equivalent to one absence and the
student will be given first warning. If a student enters the school
after 8:00am to attend classes, he/she is asked to submit a letter
of explanation duly signed by his/her parent/guardian
immediately the day after.
• More than the three sets of tardiness within a month, the
student will be subject to the set guidelines for disciplinary
action.
• 3 cases of tardiness – First warning
• 5 cases of tardiness – Second warning, with written agreement
between adviser, parent and student
• 7 cases of tardiness – Third and final warning with conference of
parent/guardian and adviser.
• 10 cases of tardiness – Suspension of student
Truancy is a serious offense that requires the presence of the
parent/guardian before a learner is readmitted to class. A truant
learner is one who stays away from class without a legitimate excuse.
TNHS considers the following cases as synonymous to truancy:
• Loitering in public places like malls and other venues while
wearing the school uniform during class hours (7:20am – 3:40 pm)
• Leaving the classroom, loitering within the school premises, and
skipping other classes without the express permission of the
teacher

cellular phone but must first ask permission from his/her teacher.
• Violation of this rule will result in confiscation of cellular phones
(which will be brought to the Discipline/Principal Office). Only
parents or guardians may claim the confiscated items.
• Learners who bring cellular phone to school are solely responsible
for its safety and security. Therefore, the school accepts no
responsibility for cellular phones that are lost, damaged, or stolen.
• Use of Cellular Phone at any time between the start of classes in the morning
until the end in the afternoon
• Use of electrical gadgets like ipod, itouch, laptop, camera, cd player, cassette
players, radios, mp3, musical instruments and the like without written
permission from the teacher, from the Discipline Office or from the Office of
the Principal
• Inappropriate attire / not wearing prescribed school uniform while inside the
campus for three accumulated records (e.g. not wearing lady sando for girls and
wearing printed undershirt for boys)
• Improper use of the school uniform
• Wearing of caps while in school uniform (subject to confiscation)
• Failure to wear ID
• Lending or borrowing of ID from another learner for the purpose of entering the
school campus
• Inappropriate haircut/hairstyle for male
• Colored hair
• Wearing of earring (male), multiple or big dangling earrings (female)
• Wearing of make-up, nail polish
• Chewing/ munching of bubble gum
• Playing basketball or any ball games in leather shoes
• Unauthorized posting of notices and announcement on walls and corridors
• Loitering during class hours
• Littering
• Wearing of contact lenses without certificate from the optometrist; if there is a
need to wear contact lenses, certificate must be presented.
• Using of school equipment without permission
• Bringing of basketball and volleyball ball (is allowed only on PE day as
scheduled)
• Failure or refusal to attend assemblies and school activities
• Bullying that occurs when any member of the community is subjected to
behavior (physical, verbal, psychological, or cyber bullying) which is harmful,
threatening or frightening
• Harassing (physical or emotional), threatening or using abusive language
causing physical or emotional injury
• Serious threat to schoolmates or classmates, teachers and other school personnel
• Fighting, provoking or instigating a fight inside the school campus or outside
the school campus while in school uniform
• Open defiance or disrespect in word or in deed, which tends to put any member
of the faculty, administrator or non-teaching staff in ridicule or contempt
• Discourteous, derogatory, insulting remarks or language directed towards a co-
learner, any member of the administration, staff, faculty and person in authority
or his/her agents in person or posting in any social networking site
• Acts that tend to cause dishonor, discredit or contempt in the name of the school
• Smoking or using e-cigarette inside the school campus, or at any time and place
while in school uniform.
• Gambling inside the campus premises
• Cutting class or leaving the classroom without the expressed permission of the
teacher
• Making noise along the corridors/stairs and comfort rooms while classes are
going on
• Getting out of the school campus during class hours without asking permission
from the office
• Influencing other learner/s to be absent from classes or to violate school
regulations
• Entering the school campus under the influence of liquor, wine or drug
• Lying/Giving false testimony during a school investigation
• Truancy
• Conducting class activity in the name of the school without authority or
permission
• Unauthorized solicitation, collection of contribution from or selling of tickets
• Embezzlement or the fraudulent appropriation by a person to his/her or her own
use of property or money entrusted to that person's care but owned by the
school/learner fund
• Extortion or the obtaining of property from another induced by wrongful use of
actual or threatened force, violence or fear.
• 1st Offense – Conference with parent and adviser and writing of reflection
• 2nd Offense – 3-day in-campus suspension
• 3rd Offense – Change of environment/Non-readmission
Possession/ use of deadly weapons such as but not limited to lead pipes,
ice picks, “asero” or bow knuckles or blades more than two (2) inches
long and explosives such as firecrackers and pyrotechnics within the
school premises
• 1st - 3 days in-campus suspension
• 2nd - one week in-campus suspension
• 3rd - change of environment/ non-readmission
Acts of immorality and its manifestation that tend to undermine the
conventional moral standard of the school and that of society
• 1st - one week in-campus suspension
• 2nd - two weeks or ten (10) days in-campus suspension plus learner
behavior contract
• 3rd - change of environment/ non-readmission
Altering/ Forging/Tampering of signatures or School documents and other
documents of similar nature or purpose
• 1st - one week in-campus suspension
• 2nd - two weeks or ten (10) days in-campus suspension plus learner
behavior contract
• 3rd - change of environment/ non-readmission
Cheating in task given (e.g. examination, project, research, quiz etc…)
a) Possession of notes or any material relative to the task whether a learner
actually used them or not
b) Copying from or allowing another to copy from one’s task given
c) Having somebody else do the task for another, in which case both should be
liable
d) Plagiarism
e) Making signs or another gesture that may be interpreted as a means to cheat
f) Leakage of the task given
h) Cheating or sharing test answers with learners in your class or in another class
Sanctions for Cheating:
• 1st Offense - score of zero in the particular task
• 2nd Offense - a grade of 70 in the subject and three days in-campus
suspension
• 3rd Offense - change of environment/non-readmission
Vandalism or willful or malicious destruction of any school property which
includes but not limited to, such acts as tearing off or defacing any library book,
magazine or periodicals, writing or drawing on the walls, desks and pieces of
furniture, breakage of glass windows, showcases, toilet fixtures, doors,
electrical or electronic devices, and unauthorized removal of official notices
and posters from bulletin boards and other similar offenses.
• 1st Offense - One week in-campus suspension plus payment of damages
• 2nd Offense - Two weeks or ten (10) in-campus suspension plus payment of
damages
• 3rd Offense - Change of environment/non-readmission
Possession of pornographic films, CDs, DVDs, and similar literatures
• 1st Offense - Two weeks in-campus suspension plus letter of apology
• 2nd Offense - Change of environment/non-readmission
Wholesome, friendly relationships between boys and girls are encouraged.
However, a learner must refrain from all public displays of affection for the
same/opposite sex while inside the campus and while in school uniform when
outside the campus.
FOR REPRIMAND:
a) Holding hands between opposite sexes
b) Cheek to cheek greeting between opposite sexes
c) Cheek to cheek greeting between males
d) Wiping off the perspiration of the opposite sex
e) Placing the hand around the shoulders, lap or waist of the opposite sex
f) Reclining against the body of the opposite sex
FOR SUSPENSION:
a) Sitting/lying on the lap of the opposite sex
b) Embracing between opposite sexes
c) Kissing
d) Lips to lips greeting
e) Massaging any body part of the person
f) Suggestive, vulgar or indecent poses
g) Other similar acts that would cause public scandal or moral degradation
• 1st Offense- Two weeks in-campus suspension with warning
• 2nd Offense- Change of environment
FOR DISMISSAL:
1. Bringing, possessing and drinking alcoholic beverages inside and outside the
school campus while wearing the school uniform.
2. Insulting, challenging or assaulting a teacher or any school authority
3. Instigating, leading and participating in concerted activities leading to
stoppage of classes
4. Theft and robbery
5. Possessing, using, buying, selling, and giving of prohibited drugs (as defined
in RA 6425 as amended)
6. Affiliation with an organization whose objectives and/or activities are
contrary to the school’s philosophy, objectives, policies and rules such as
fraternities, sororities, gangs and associations
7. Enlistment or maintenance of membership and/or participation in fraternities
or sororities whether existing or established after the effectivity of DECS order
No. 20, series of 1991, which states that: “Fraternities and sororities are
prohibited in public and private, elementary and secondary schools. Penalty for
non-compliance is expulsion of pupil/ learner.”

    • Bullying thatoccurs when any member of the community is subjected to behavior (physical, verbal, psychological, or cyber bullying) which is harmful, threatening or frightening • Harassing (physical or emotional), threatening or using abusive language causing physical or emotional injury • Serious threat to schoolmates or classmates, teachers and other school personnel • Fighting, provoking or instigating a fight inside the school campus or outside the school campus while in school uniform • Open defiance or disrespect in word or in deed, which tends to put any member of the faculty, administrator or non-teaching staff in ridicule or contempt

    • Discourteous, derogatory,insulting remarks or language directed towards a co- learner, any member of the administration, staff, faculty and person in authority or his/her agents in person or posting in any social networking site • Acts that tend to cause dishonor, discredit or contempt in the name of the school • Smoking or using e-cigarette inside the school campus, or at any time and place while in school uniform. • Gambling inside the campus premises • Cutting class or leaving the classroom without the expressed permission of the teacher • Making noise along the corridors/stairs and comfort rooms while classes are going on

    • Getting outof the school campus during class hours without asking permission from the office • Influencing other learner/s to be absent from classes or to violate school regulations • Entering the school campus under the influence of liquor, wine or drug • Lying/Giving false testimony during a school investigation • Truancy • Conducting class activity in the name of the school without authority or permission • Unauthorized solicitation, collection of contribution from or selling of tickets

    • Embezzlement orthe fraudulent appropriation by a person to his/her or her own use of property or money entrusted to that person's care but owned by the school/learner fund • Extortion or the obtaining of property from another induced by wrongful use of actual or threatened force, violence or fear. • 1st Offense – Conference with parent and adviser and writing of reflection • 2nd Offense – 3-day in-campus suspension • 3rd Offense – Change of environment/Non-readmission

    Possession/ use ofdeadly weapons such as but not limited to lead pipes, ice picks, “asero” or bow knuckles or blades more than two (2) inches long and explosives such as firecrackers and pyrotechnics within the school premises • 1st - 3 days in-campus suspension • 2nd - one week in-campus suspension • 3rd - change of environment/ non-readmission

    Altering/ Forging/Tampering ofsignatures or School documents and other documents of similar nature or purpose • 1st - one week in-campus suspension • 2nd - two weeks or ten (10) days in-campus suspension plus learner behavior contract • 3rd - change of environment/ non-readmission

    Cheating in taskgiven (e.g. examination, project, research, quiz etc…) a) Possession of notes or any material relative to the task whether a learner actually used them or not b) Copying from or allowing another to copy from one’s task given c) Having somebody else do the task for another, in which case both should be liable d) Plagiarism e) Making signs or another gesture that may be interpreted as a means to cheat f) Leakage of the task given h) Cheating or sharing test answers with learners in your class or in another class

    Vandalism or willfulor malicious destruction of any school property which includes but not limited to, such acts as tearing off or defacing any library book, magazine or periodicals, writing or drawing on the walls, desks and pieces of furniture, breakage of glass windows, showcases, toilet fixtures, doors, electrical or electronic devices, and unauthorized removal of official notices and posters from bulletin boards and other similar offenses. • 1st Offense - One week in-campus suspension plus payment of damages • 2nd Offense - Two weeks or ten (10) in-campus suspension plus payment of damages • 3rd Offense - Change of environment/non-readmission

    Possession of pornographicfilms, CDs, DVDs, and similar literatures • 1st Offense - Two weeks in-campus suspension plus letter of apology • 2nd Offense - Change of environment/non-readmission

    Wholesome, friendly relationshipsbetween boys and girls are encouraged. However, a learner must refrain from all public displays of affection for the same/opposite sex while inside the campus and while in school uniform when outside the campus. FOR REPRIMAND: a) Holding hands between opposite sexes b) Cheek to cheek greeting between opposite sexes c) Cheek to cheek greeting between males d) Wiping off the perspiration of the opposite sex e) Placing the hand around the shoulders, lap or waist of the opposite sex f) Reclining against the body of the opposite sex

    FOR SUSPENSION: a) Sitting/lyingon the lap of the opposite sex b) Embracing between opposite sexes c) Kissing d) Lips to lips greeting e) Massaging any body part of the person f) Suggestive, vulgar or indecent poses g) Other similar acts that would cause public scandal or moral degradation • 1st Offense- Two weeks in-campus suspension with warning • 2nd Offense- Change of environment

    FOR DISMISSAL: 1. Bringing,possessing and drinking alcoholic beverages inside and outside the school campus while wearing the school uniform. 2. Insulting, challenging or assaulting a teacher or any school authority 3. Instigating, leading and participating in concerted activities leading to stoppage of classes 4. Theft and robbery 5. Possessing, using, buying, selling, and giving of prohibited drugs (as defined in RA 6425 as amended)

Affiliation withan organization whose objectives and/or activities are contrary to the school’s philosophy, objectives, policies and rules such as fraternities, sororities, gangs and associations 7. Enlistment or maintenance of membership and/or participation in fraternities or sororities whether existing or established after the effectivity of DECS order No. 20, series of 1991, which states that: “Fraternities and sororities are prohibited in public and private, elementary and secondary schools. Penalty for non-compliance is expulsion of pupil/ learner.” 8. Publishing and circulating false malicious information about the school or teacher or any school personnel or learner.
