They gain an insight into the workings
of AIESEC as well as their career
and trainee opportunities.

Buddy systemBuddy system
Buddy system
The Buddy System is one effective way to
ensure that induction goals are met through
the use of Newie Buddies as main tool of
delivery.
The Buddy is an experienced AIESECer who
will help to integrate the new member into
the LC as quick as possible and educate
him/her accordingly. He/She will support and
train the new member in his/her functional
skills development.
Buddy implementation
Role of buddy:
1.Define the role of the Buddy for your LC.
2.Identify the number of suitable people to be
Buddies and the expected new members.
3.Define the system. How should it work.
(Check the examples)
4.Define the tracking system: How are the
buddies going to track their newies, how arewe
going to track the Buddies? What tracking
materials should be created?
Buddy system implementation
• inform the Buddys about their
responsibilities
• make them think about their role
model function and the importance of
their work as Buddy
• educate them on how the Buddy
System is run in your LC
