2. WWII
During the 1930’s Hitler denounced the Treaty of Versailles
and became the leader of Germany’s military.
Hitler then took Germany out of the League of Nations;
formed an alliance with Italy and began seizing land in
Europe, starting with Poland.
These series of actions put Europe into a state of War.
It was not long before the US began working to aid Britain.
We began selling weapons, ships and planes to Britain
in exchange for military bases in the Americas
we began giving money to aid Russia and Britain.
3. WWII
After the depression, peace was realized as being
short lived.
However, Britain and the US were to busy
recovering to take action.
The US began to pass laws to remove any chance
of them entering war.
Britain was practicing a policy of appeasement
where she would attempt to buy off enemies and
negotiate away from war.
4. WWII
Many would agree that WWII was one of the worst
wars in History, however the US suffered far less to its
proximity.
Eager to stay away from a war, the distance of the
Atlantic insulated this desire and made it easy to put
out of mind the tragedy unfolding in throughout the
continent of Europe.
After the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor the
sentiment in the US changed and were compelled to
fight the Axis Of evil.
