The Land Development Agency (LDA) presented an update on the Furzer Street Precinct project to the Woden Valley Community Council. Construction is scheduled to begin in March/April 2015 to develop sections 3 and 9, including intersection upgrades, civil works, and landscape and park works. Community engagement efforts include presentations, letters, emails, and signage to make local residents and businesses aware of the upcoming construction work.

BACKGROUND
• Phillip Section 9 was identified on the ACT
Governments Indicative Land Release Program
• LDA first presented the Furzer Street project to the
WVCC in 2011.
• 1st EDP DA lodged and public consultation
undertaken May 2012.
• 2nd EDP lodged and public consultation
undertaken September 2013.
• Section 3 released and sold at auction (including
the requirement for replacement car parking)
• SKYPARK scheduled to open in April 2015.
