Strategic Planning, Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation (SPIME) for Edu...virgilio gundayao
The function of Implementation, Monitoring, and Evaluation (IME) in the Strategic Planning is a pivotal management and leadership component paving towards organizational success. The SPIME complements and completes the SWOT, environmental scanning, action plan to come out with an ideal but workable road map, blue print, milestone, in the attainment of organizational goals, values, and objectives.
On this oral and written reports, it is apparent that the SPIME is intertwined as a practical approach towards exploring the entire gamut of a CorPlan that are within the frame work of the organizational vision, mission, goals, objectives and values—in this case of an educational institution.
Create a strategic action plan to describe the way you will follow the desired steps for a better business execution. The document will show you: "when, who, why and what phases/questions to ask and how to develop your strategic action plan".
This strategic action plan will help you keep focus at all times, it is the perfect framework to guide any team to the day-to-day actions whilst supporting business growth.
This presentation is designed to help: startups and small and medium size businesses. However it can be used (as a framework) by freelancers, managers and digital team leaders.

The MTL Professional Development Programme is a collection of 202 PowerPoint presentations that will provide you with step-by-step summaries of a key management or personal development skill. This presentation is on "Time on Progress Work" and will show you how to set and accomplish new achievements with your time.
An Individual Development Plan (IDP) can serve as a ROADMAP to help you achieve your short- and long-term teaching, service, and scholarly goals. The IDP is a written list of goals mapped to a timeline and includes goal-setting for different areas you want and need to focus on to build your academic career. These goals can include any skill development/training and career planning along with your teaching, service, and scholarly goals. In addition, mentors can be identified to help you with any specific areas of growth..
Personal strengths are the skills and actions that a particular individual can do well. Professional traits such as a strong work ethic and being a fast learner can also be personal strengths.
We probably already know that our strengths are what help us achieve our goals, be successful, and accomplish what we set out to accomplish. But strengths can also contribute to life satisfaction and well-being.
In identifying our strength in IPCRF objectives, choose the indicators where you are good at. This means that in this indicator you obtained a high rating.
Both Functional and Core Behavioral Competencies should be considered.
Weaknesses are defined as character traits or skills that are considered negative or not as well developed.
Having a weakness doesn't mean that you have a complete lack of a particular strength. It just means you tend to have less of that strength. Or it means that one aspect of yourself isn't as strong as your other strengths.
The indicators which obtained a low rating in our IPCRF are considered as our weakness that need to be developed in our Development Plan.
It could be two or more depending on the priorities that you want to be developed.
An action plan is a specific list of tasks in order to achieve a particular goal. It can be regarded as a proposed strategy to execute a specific project to achieve a specific or general goal effectively and efficiently.
In making an Action Plan (Recommended Developmental Intervention) in our IPCRF, you need to consider the following:
Intervention
Interventions in an action plan are strategic steps or measures taken to address issues, achieve objectives, or improve a situation.
Here are general steps to help you incorporate interventions into your action plan:
Identify Issues or Areas for Improvement
Develop Intervention Strategies
Prioritize Interventions
Implement Interventions
Establish Monitoring and Evaluation Mechanisms:
Besides setting a deadline for your main goal, you should also establish a timeframe for completing each task in the process. It is essential to create a timeline you can reasonably follow so you can maintain consistent progress toward your goal. Assess the requirements and consider the amount of time you need to complete each item on your list.
Assess the skills and abilities of the persons involved to determine which of them are best qualified to perform each task.
Then, write down who will be in charge
Inspire Action – Set Clear Goals
Among the top reasons that individuals and teams fail to achieve their goals is that they don’t know what their goals are. Competent and courageous leaders assure that this predictable and avoidable cause of failure does not undermine their people’s results. This kind of leadership doesn’t happen by accident. Goals must have the support and commitment of the team. Knowing how to measure success is vital to achieving that success. Often people are unclear as to who their customer is, and what matters to them. Tracking status and progress vs. goals must make clear whether they are on track or off track, and what to do about it. The overall long-term goals must be kept clearly in mind even while day to day tasks tend to dominate people’s attention. As a leader you must assure that your people have a clear and vivid understanding of the goals and their role in helping to achieve them. Teams that don’t have a clear view of the path forward slow down, like cars driving in heavy fog on a dark night. Keeping the goal clear and providing frequent feedback on the progress being made can increase team performance by over 50%. Assuring that your team has clear goals and understands the priorities to be used in making the inevitable trade-offs required on the road to those goals, is one of your most important leadership responsibilities. Even seemingly impossible results can be achieved through a combination of a clear vision of the desired future state, a commitment to action, and execution with excellence. Leaders set their teams up for success by helping them to set SMART goals, those that are Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Relevant and Time-bounded, and then by tracking and making visible their progress. This module will assure that you never again spend your time trying to figure out “how” to do something until you know “what” you intend to accomplish.

I created this presentation based on a similar presentation I found on SHRM’s website to teach an in-house seminar on goal setting.
Note: near the end of the presentation there appears to be a random slide of a Ford Pinto advertisement. I used it as a spring board into how the Ford Pinto story showcases goal setting gone bad. The story was completely oral, so…sorry, you had to be there.
This is a presentation I used when doing a training session on goal setting for my Leadership Team. The content is adapted from a presentation I found on SHRM's website. The Pinto picture seems out of place, but I used it to spring board into a story showing how goal setting went "bad" at Ford with the design and production of the Pinto.
Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202
