This document provides guidance on writing an effective film proposal, including key elements like a synopsis, screenplay structure with scene summaries and images, details on actors and cast, a moodboard communicating the style, description of the target audience, what makes the project unique (USP), and an overview of the production budget. Students are instructed to review example proposals and highlight important areas like the working title, medium, audience, style, and content structure/length. They are then tasked with beginning to write their own proposals to persuade a production company to finance their film.

Screenplay Structure: Summary of each scene with images
Actors/Cast: Who will be in it? Vox Pop!
Moodboard: How can you communicate what the style of the
production is?
Target Audience: Who is your intended audience?
USP: What makes your production stand out from the rest?
Budget: An overview of the cost of the production

Read through the example proposals and highlight the
following key areas:
- Working title
- Medium to be used (video website etc…)
- Target audience
- Indication of style
- Summary/Structure of content
- Length or size of product

6. TASK:
Begin writing your proposals based on your
current plans, the homework set yesterday will
help you do this.
