Woody Allen s Film Debut With The Quirky, What s Up, Tiger...
In 1966, Woody Allen made his theatrical film debut with the quirky, What s Up, Tiger Lily?. Woody
Allen was the head writer as well as one of the directors; Senkichi Taniguchi being his partner. The
two directors took the Japanese action film International Secret Police: Key of Keys and changed the
plot to focus on a secret egg salad recipe instead ( What s Up, Tiger Lily? ). They did this by re
dubbing the dialogue as well as rearranging some of the scenes. Experimental concept of the film
alone, Woody Allen managed to already set himself apart from other filmmakers. However, it is in the
execution of the concept that Woody Allen was able to establish his unique presence in the world of
popular culture. In addition to its humorous and unique concept, the film does not unfold in a logical
manner, keeping the viewer on their toes. More or less, the film s plot is designed as an opportunity
for a string of puns, playfully racist jokes, farcical situations and sight gags. Centrally, it follows Phil
Moskowitz, who was hired to recover the stolen egg salad recipe (What s Up, Tiger Lily?). He is a
secret agent, working for the Grand Exalted High Majah of Raspur ( a nonexistent but real sounding
country , according to the movie). The film makes several hard left turns, leaving viewers pleasantly
confused. However, it is clear that Woody Allen has done this on purpose. At one point in the film, the
action ceases entirely and cuts to a shot of Woody Allen and an interviewer

Character Analysis Okonkwo
Things Fall Apart Okonkwo
In the novel Things Fall Apart, by Chinua Achebe, Okonkwo is a character who shows the difficulty
of staying true and saving his religion. Okonkwo is a very strong man. At times he may be very
stubborn, like most men. With many occasions he is very impatient and struggles with controlling his
anger. In the book, he is exiled for seven years. During those seven years missionaries come into the
village and try to make all of the Ibo tribe convert into Christianity. Since he,Okonkwo, is not there to
kick them out they have managed to convince a few people, including his son. This leads him to be
very upset and angry when he comes out of exile. The author, Chinua Achebe, is trying to show
culture and strength ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was very obvious that Okonkwo was not willing to convert, he stayed and instead tried to get as
many people as he could to stand up to them and begin a war to get the British out one and for all. The
story would have gone much different if he would have agreed with the british and converted without
going down with a fight. It would not seem like him.
Additionally, the theme of this meaningful novel is culture conflict. It proves to see if danger that you
know is going to overpower your culture and effect your life, do you join it or fight for what you
believe in. That is exactly what Okonkwo did. No matter what the issue was he always knew that he
had done something wrong and and did his time, but in the end of the day he still stood up for what he
believed in. Just like today cultures should still treat each other with respect and respect different
beliefs. At the end of the novel, Okonkwo had hung himself because he knew the missionaries would
eventually and he wanted to be the one with the power to take his life. He decided to be the bigger
person and take his own life instead of giving them the power.
In the final analysis, Okonkwo was very unsatisfied with the coming of the British. He begins to
become more intimidating and decided to stand up for his tribe, sadly no one had his back. Okonkwo
becomes a tragic hero because he has tried to save his tribe, culture, and life but has failed in doing so.
Okonkwo impacts the story by

George Washington And Thomas Jefferson
John Adams (1735 1826) has the historically unfortunate position of being president between two
American icons, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. His presidency is often overlooked by
scholars and even occasionally viewed as an undeserving president who won the office out of early
American political maneuvering (McCullough 2001, 29). Nonetheless, he led the young nation during
the end of the French Revolution and the emergence of Napoleon Bonaparte, a globally tumultuous
period. The nation, and the world, has changed dramatically since the end of the eighteenth century.
However, the domestic and foreign concerns that Adams had to manage and attempt to resolve are still
relevant to current circumstances. Even though Adams only served one term over 200 years ago,
through an analysis of his background, personality, presidential leadership and managerial style, and
his interactions with Congress and the American people, a twenty first century incoming president is
able to learn from Adams mistakes and triumphs.
Life Before the Presidency John Adams was raised in a Puritan household in colonial Massachusetts
during the eighteenth century. Although not a deeply religious or pious man, the Puritan values of
selfless service, modesty, and unflinching dedication were deeply instilled into Adams at a young age
and would have lasting impacts on his personality and work ethic throughout his life (McCullough
2001, 54). After attending Harvard, Adams launched his legal career

Major Themes In The Fifth Wave By Rick Yancey
The Fifth Wave Theme Essay
The author of the The 5th Wave, Rick Yancey, had several prominent themes. Three were most vital;
first, war cannot change who a person really is at their core, second, people are defined by the choices
they make, and third, family is worth living for. These are the best and most important motifs of The
5th Wave. The first theme, war cannot change who a person really is at their core, recurs during
several incidences which reinstates the significance. For example, Ben tries to make Ringer smile
despite being in the midst of the end of the world. When Cassie and Sammy reunite, he goes back to
his five year old self despite his being in boot camp for months prior, and lastly, Cassie and Evan flirt

Finally, Cassie had little to no human contact before she was shot in the leg and saved by Evan Walker
but she still did not hesitate to kiss him, cuddle, fight, or anything that a normal couple would do.
After fighting with each other, Evan Walker kisses me. Holding my hand against his chest, his other
hand sliding across my neck... Despite Cassie being shot in the leg by an unknown shooter, aliens
trying to take over the Earth, her brother being taken, and her family being dead, she is still a teenage
girl who enjoys male interaction.
An additional theme heavily shown throughout the book is people are defined by the choices they
make . Ben left his little sister, Sissy, to die, even though he could have made an effort to save her;
because he left her, he now vows not to run from danger or those things which scare him.
Furthermore, Cassie promises Sammy that she will find him and, because she makes that promise, she
will stop at nothing to be with him again.
At the beginning of the arrival, Ben and his family stayed at their house. One night, there are gunshots
and screams heard coming from their neighbors house; Ben s mother demands them to blow out the
candles which lit the rooms and his father told Ben that If anything happens to me, take care of your
mother and baby sister, (Page 117). After that, the door crashes open and Ben s father shoots the male
intruder to no avail his father is then shot in the face and Ben

What Is The Difference Between Freak The Mighty
Freak the MIghty is a book by Rodman Philbrick. It is a book about friendship between two guys.
Freak the Mighty and The Mighty have many differences and alikes like when they became Freak the
MIghty, when they stopped a girl from getting robbed, and where Kevin dies. One difference between
the two is when they became Freak the Mighty. In the book this happens at the pond. The cops asked
who they were and Kevin said we are Freak the Mighty. In the movie it happened at the museum.
Also in the movie Max and Kenvin save a girl from getting her purse stolen at a bakery. In the movie
it never even happened. It was important because it showed how strong Freak the Mighty was, and
how they work well together even though they are different. If

The Tort Of Negligence By Percy L Winfield
In order to establish a claim in the tort of negligence, according to Percy H Winfield[1] Tortious
liability arises from the breach of a duty primarily fixed by the law: such duty is towards persons
generally and its breach is redressible by an action for liquidated damages . It is for Grace as the
claimant where falls the burden of proof, to demonstrate that the negligence of her physical injury was
due to the tortious liability of the Police, Ambulance Service, CURO and the Heath Authority as the
defendants in order to claim damages. Furthermore will look at whether tortious liability can arise
towards Brian as an occupier for his negligence which resulted in the firemen s deaths.
In negligence the defendant is only liable when they ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Likewise police had no duty to arrive sooner after Brian made the call in order to respond to the
potential threat of an intruder.
In comparison to Police and fire services, Lord Woolf suggested in Kent v Griffiths[9] arguments
based on public policy are much weaker in the case of ambulance service than they are in the case of
police or the fire service . Leading case which portrays the duty of care for the ambulance services
towards a patient in their care, as they accepted the claimants call they become a patient which means
they have a duty to them at that moment. Although ambulance owes a duty of care towards Grace
needs to determine if delay was breach of failure to take reasonable care. In the judgment Mr Justice
Turner said: In the absence of any reasonable excuse for this delay I am driven to conclude that the
delay was culpable breached duty as no reasonable excuse for the delay. However from Lord Woolf s
judgement also in kent:[10] ... resources, whether in the provision of sufficient drivers or attendants,
different situations would apply . The ambulance has no duty if not enough resources at their disposal
during accident, due to high demand for ambulances at that time during Grace s accident means that
they are not liable. A precedent establishing dual duty of care towards hospital

Similarities Between The Pearl And Animal Farm
Theme gives the reader a general idea about what the piece of literature is about. The character s
action and thoughts takes part in creating the theme. Animal farm was a book about animals taking
control of the farm from their tyrannic farmer. The animals attempts to make the farm a democracy,
but Napoleon, the pig leader, takes over and eventually becomes the new tyrant. The Pearl was about a
family, Kino, Juana, Coyotito, who catches a huge pearl. They go through a journey to get away from
any harm such as the trackers. In the book Animal Farm and the book The Pearl, the two characters,
Napoleon and the Doctor, created a theme that greed can change their perspective.
In Animal Farm, Napoleon was able to show how greed and abuse of power can change oneself.
Napoleon used his rank in the farm to change the commandments so that the rules and the farm would
be in his way. But a few days later Muriel, reading over the Seven Commandments to herself, noticed
that there was yet another of them which the animals had remembered wrong. They had thought the
Fifth Commandment was No animal shall drink alcohol, but there were two words that they had
forgotten. Actually the Commandment read: No animal shall drink alcohol to excess. The more Muriel
looked at the commandments, the more wrong she knew it looked. Napoleon changed the original
commandments to suit his wants to make sure the animals were in line for their jobs and did not rebel.
His power of being the leader of the

What Are Personal Afflictions That Affect The Elderly
Afflictions that affect the elderly often impair the memory, which can make it difficult to maintain
consistency with personal affairs. Elderly people who don t have a good support system from family
and friends can end up behind on payments, miscalculate their finances, and forget to schedule
appointments. This leads to a lot of stress, especially if the person has severe memory issues but
refuses to live in a place that could provide consistent care. For people who aren t ready to relinquish
their freedom and privacy, there are agencies that specialise in assisting with elderly personal affairs.
The individuals who work for these agencies go through special background checks so that clients can

Car Seat Safety
As a mother to multiple children and a former nanny, I have plenty of experience in car seat safety.
Even so, it s always best to keep up with the most current info as some things will change as we learn
more. Though changes may occur, there are some things that always remain constant with car seat
safety. Choose car seats according to age and size An infant cannot ride safely in a booster seat.
Likewise, a larger child should not be riding in a rear facing infant seat. Read the manufacturer labels
and follow the advice of your child s pediatrician to determine the proper car seat. It is generally more
accurate to fit a child s car seat according to weight and height than by age. One child may move into

In this method, as soon as the raw bricks are cut to size, they are stacked on flatcars, slowly passed
through long, heated tunnels and after from 8 to 72 hours (depending on the type of brick) they are
dry. Now they are moved slowly through a long fire brick tunnel, where they are heated and cooled in
from 36 hours to four days, also depending on the type of brick. One of Portugal s largest brick
factories, located outside Lisbon, has a modern continuous car tunnel oven 180 m (590 feet) long!
When bricks were manufactured manually, their form and dimensions varied widely from region to
region, adapting themselves to the local necessities. However, even the Assyrians recognized the need
to standardize the dimensions of the most widely used bricks of their time. In Portugal, the National
Civil Engineering Laboratory made an inquiry of the principal factories as to the forms and
dimensions of bricks produced. The 44 factories that answered the inquiry produced 330 different
models! This great diversity caused many inconveniences, for manufacturer and consumer alike. As
bricks occupy a very important role in construction here in Portugal, standardization would be very
beneficial, not only as to quality, but also as to dimensions and materials. With the results of this
inquiry at hand, it was now necessary to determine how to limit the existing types. Ninety nine
different factories and 36 of the larger

Argumentative Essay About Sexual Identity
Introduction: Sexual Identity is at the core of several contemporary debates ranging from identity to
the discussion on the abuse of power. Here in the early stages of the twenty first century fluid sexual
identity is culturally acceptable in the United States, a person can identify with being a man, and in the
matter of moments identify with being a woman. Amid this cultural phenomenon, the church is
wrestling with ancient sacred scriptures that give conflicting messages concerning sexual identity and
leadership. Traditional interpretation of key texts has unfortunately contributed to an uncomfortable
history of abuse and subjection of women in the church and home. As feminism rose to cultural
prominence, the church used scripture to defend

advisor, McGill University) Janice Tester has been working as a Career Advisor for McGill Career
planning Service Office (CaPS) for over 17 years. In 2014, I started to serve as a peer educator in
CaPS office and Janice became my supervisor since then. Despite the fact that we worked closely
together in the past two years, I never get a chance to know her accomplishments in the job and how
she perceive her work. This became my initial motivation to interview her. Another reason is that,
given the importance of career advising service in McGill, its performance is difficult to evaluate. A
throughout analysis on this position can be helpful for its performance improvement. Several
expectations for this position were developed during my working in CaPS. Firstly, I expected career
advisors to be business orientated, with backgrounds in human resource management. Secondly, since
their works involve mostly one on one consulting with students, interactions with colleagues are
limited and unnecessary. Thirdly, I expected that, career advisors enjoy a high level of initiative.

Jane Eyre, The Bluest Eye, And Feminism

Jane Eyre, The Bluest Eye, and Feminism Feminism. It s a big concept in society today, but has it
always been that way? Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte is a famous work on the basis of her own
experiences. In this novel, the author shapes a tough and independent woman who pursues true love
and equality. In the Victorian period, the image of Jane Eyre cast a sharp contrast to the man
dominated society. She stands for a new lady who has the courage to fight for her own rights and love.
The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison is also a popular work that discusses the hardships of black
feminism. During Pecola s time in the story, she is faced with many obstacles that endanger her
womanhood, and the point of her femininity is put into place. Pecola s hardships in her life are faced
through her race, and this is a contrast to the white male dominated society. Let s begin with what
feminism really is. Feminist theory, according to my first literary criticism, by Haiyan Gao, is to
achieve gender equality in all of humanity. All feminist theory has a basic premise, which is, women
worldwide are under an oppression, discrimination, and hierarchy state. In such a social structure
prevalent among women in the political, economic, cultural, ideological, knowledge, ideas, ethics and
other fields are in an unequal position with men, even in a private sphere of family, women are also in
a position of inequality with men. Feminism

The Accounting Principles Of Financial Statements And...
Accounting in health care has profound effects on financial statements, and knowing the necessary
components to conducting financial reports and balancing the assets is vital. Many things contribute to
the overall foundation of the balance sheet and valuations for the health care organization. A lot of
moving parts are required to keep health care organizations running and afloat for the long term. One
must understand the accounting concepts, and methods, terminology, in order to explain the various
uses on how they apply to balance sheets. Valuing assets and Generally Accepted Accounting
Principles (GAAP) method is effective for the right valuation as they will be explained in the
following paragraphs.
Differences between Cash and Accrual Accounting
Cash accounting is a simple method which deals with revenue and expense within the health care
organization and personal uses. This method can easily apply to everyday people as several people
have a personal checkbook; they use to keep track of their expenses and depositing money every so
often. Using a checkbook is how we withdraw money for expenses which is one standard way to pay
for items. Cash basis accounting is also applied when reporting salaries for physicians or registered
nurses as an expense and this would allow no revenue of patients treated by physicians until the
following year when profits are collected. As good as method this is for people, accountants strive for
a better way to assess the organizations

1. The original business model for Zappos was the drop ship model which is being the middle man

retail web based or mail order business. In many ways they work the same. An order with payment
comes in, is processed and then shipped to the purchaser. In both your retail environment and in the
drop ship environment, the person receiving the package is your customer. The only difference to the
customer is that in the one instance, the product is shipped directly from your location and in the other
instance; the product is shipped from another location. (Steve, 2009). Over the past several years, drop

is very good at applying the 4P s with the 4 C s that Porter talks about in our lecture. They even have
an application for smart phone to make sure that their customer can buy even with their phones. With
this model I believe that they can sustain their popularity and especially as long as they keep giving to
their customer s great experiences and products that they need for the best price. Last but not least, the
company trains and exposes all its recruits to customer service regardless of their position. They also
encourage innovation by motivating its employees to come up with passionate ideas which they go

The Residential Appraiser Is Taught On Our Local Markets,...
The residential appraiser is taught how to measure a home, examine it for positive and negative
features, take photos, study the neighborhood, seek out comparable sales and listings, and create a
report that solves a valuation problem. All of these things primarily involve the technical side of the
work. But what about the bigger picture? What we do has a profound effect upon our local markets,
communities, and the nation as a whole. We are an important participant in all of these things.
You can see it in everyday practice. Is it just a coincidence that a size adjustment of say $30 per square
foot seems to be just right in equating two or three comparables? Is that only what the market seems

But if you still are not sure, think about some things that will happen if you do the wrong thing.
Being listed in MLS, if that home does end up closing at the inflated price, it will show up as a closed
sale in MLS. When brokers and agents conduct a competitive market analysis of another similar home
they want to list, the inflated price of the property you over appraised will enter into their research and
influence the list price the agent recommends to their seller. I have seen situations where just one
inflated sale caused every new listing in a neighborhood to be priced at the same level. The inflated
sale can cause a cascade effect. Now every home is overpriced because of one inflated sale. The result
is buyers faced with less affordability and/or sellers attempting to sell their homes at asking prices that
are not realistic. Buyers, sellers, agents and even lenders and title companies out there can suffer as a
result of this. All because you did not do your duty and failed to consider the bigger picture.
The appraiser, whether he or she realizes it or not, often acts as a traffic cop. The mere presence of a
policeman on a busy road will cause most sensible drivers to pay greater attention to the rules of the

traffic laws are enforced in such a way as to allow for at least some degree of noncompliance, such as

exceptionally apparent through the misogyny and hardships the female protagonist Penny Wain faces.
Penny Wain is described as a 29 year old attractive and highly intelligent women. However, due to
both of these traits Penny faces misogyny from the very first scene she is introduced in. During this

In chapter of the book Penny is at a family dinner in which the intention is to praise the approval of
her ship design that is to be used by the British admiralty. However, during this dinner, that was
supposed to be celebrating Penny success, a debate arose about Pennys ship design. In this debate her
uncle Alfred argued that due to ship engineering being a job that is predominantly male orientated
Pennys design could not possibly be of a good quality. Following these remarks Penny would then try
to calm the situation by saying If it makes anyone feel any better, I don t deserve any credit, the whole

give credit to a man in order to abide within the misogynistic societal expectations of the time. These
expectations being that men were supposed to be the intellectuals while women could not possibly be
successful in a white collared environment due to their lack of intellect. With this in mind, the
prejudice that Penny faces in this scene is highlighted from comments made by the narrator in an

New England Middle And Southern Colonies
During the tobacco boom of the 1620s, two English colonies located along Chesapeake Bay, Maryland
and Virginia, were the first to prosper in North America. From 1624 to 1752, thirteen English colonies
emerged along the Eastern coast of North America, with a multitude of diversities among them that
transformed the map of the English New World. Colonial life within these three regions: New
England, middle, and southern colonies was diverse because of the varying geography, economy, and
society the colonists had constructed. To begin with, the English colonies were awfully diverse based
on the environment that they were founded on. Each region consisted of different growing seasons,
agriculture, and climates. Simultaneously, the New England colonies (New Hampshire,
Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut) were founded upon hilly and mountainous terrain that
consisted of many rivers, rocky soil, and the coldest climate of all three regions. The long, harsh
winters meant for the shortest growing season, leading the New England colonists to discover new
ways of making income. In these northern colonies, fish, timber, and furs were their resources.
Meanwhile in the middle colonies (New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware), flat land,
rich soil, , navigable waters and coastal plains that stretched as far as the Appalachian foothills led to
the Pennsylvania colony being the first to prosper in North America for England. Family farmers had a
rich, level growing land as

Nervous Condition When Things Fall Apart African traditions, values and customs have been slowly
influenced by colonization and eventual globalization that has turned the world into a global village.
The novel, Things fall apart, is a reflection of the extent to which Africans were tied to their beliefs
and customs, as a violation of those customs was regarded as being disrespectful to the gods. The new
values and beliefs brought by the missionaries are resisted since the communities regard them as
inclined on disrupting the norms that hold the community together. The novel Nervous Conditions is a
reflection of colonization effects on Africans identity and their state of mind; Dangarembga speaks the
voice of an oppressed female from postcolonial Africa, and in male dominated society. Achebe s
regains the voice of Africans and defends their humanity despite their nervous conditions of living in a
dual world that can ruin one s self identity and state of mind.
Things Fall Apart is an example encompasses the life, nature, and traditional culture of Africans.
Chinua uses Okonkwo, a fierce and champion fighter, to show how Africans led their life with regards
to the way they observed traditions, lived in harmony with each other and worked hard to provide
food for their families. For instance, when the gods desire the life of Ikemefuna, the village boy whom
the Umuofia village had been given in a debt settlement

milk chocolate color for your contouring shades. This is a great palette because even just in the 4
shades, it has a pretty good variety of colors that is versatile for many people. The physical product

The New And Older Generations Of The United Ages Of 18 And...
Assimilation As the American economy continues to incorporate the younger generation into the
working class, steps must be taken to maximize employee potential. The impact of workers between
the ages of 18 and 32, Generation Y or Millennials, is unquestionably an organizational concern for
many employers. According to a 2013 Ernst Young survey, 87% of Millennials have moved into
management positions in the last five years. With that level of upward mobility, issues and conflicts
are certain to arise due to the vastly different workplace ethics, management styles, etc. held by the
new and older generations. For a company to be an innovative competitor in the marketplace, it is
important for its employees to be able to work productively while accommodating generational
differences. The 2013 Ernst Young survey also found that more than 69% of respondents said their
company had made an effort to alleviate the challenges that arise with a generational blend. Employee
cooperation is an important goal for these companies because it is vital for them to thrive in the
rapidly evolving workplace. Without cooperation between the distinct generational groups,
management problems will certainly arise. Leaders should attempt to mitigate these problems by
allowing employees to work in a style that suits their particular needs. While certain standards must be
in place to maintain orderly operations, flexibility must be demonstrated so that employees remain
loyal to the firm. Favoring

In contrast, water resources planners have often trivialized green water management in rain fed
agriculture (Liu, Zehnder, Yang 2009). Green water management often comes in the form of effective
use of rainfall (Liu, Zehnder, Yang 2009). Green Water management has great conservation potential.
For example, according to Liu, Zehnder, Yang (209), strengthening rainfall management could
possibly double or even quadruple maize yields in sub Saharan Africa. Rainwater harvesting is a
promising approach for green water management in the semiarid tropics of Asia and Africa (Liu,
Zehnder, Yang 2009). Experiments with rainwater harvesting increased yield by a factor of 2 to 3 in
Burkina Faso, Kenya, Niger, Sudan and Tanzania as compared to the current yield levels (Liu,
Zehnder, Yang 2009). Additional spending in many of the rain fed areas allowed more poor people to
rise above the poverty line than would be expected with investments in irrigation infrastructure (Liu,
Zehnder, Yang 2009). Green water management is not only limited to infrastructure and management
technologies, as biotechnological advances can also be helpful (Liu, Zehnder, Yang 2009). For
example, a hybrid New Rice for Africa, which was developed to grow in the uplands of West Africa,
produces more than 50% more grain than current varieties when cultivated in traditional

Television reports showed the fighting on the embassy grounds, chaos in the streets of Saigon, the

Baseball in the 1990 s, a throwing, running, hitting sport, started in 1845. Baseball in the 90 s was a

best hitter was Tony Gwynn ( Thompson 1). . There was a lot of Hall of fame players in the 90 s.
There were some young ones and old ones. One of the best players to play in the 90 s had a steroid
controversy. The player to have the steroid controversy was Mark McGwire. He owed a lot of money,
but using the steroids actually helped him. There was a home run derby in the 90 s too. They have one
every year. In the derby, there has to be a winner and a loser. Everybody loses but the one who does
not hit as much as the other players is the biggest loser. Baseball today is a lot more different than it
used to be by a lot. The players are better than they used to be. There is a leading player today and
there is a not so good player. In the late 90 s there were some good players who played and left some
big shoes to fill for the next people going in after they retire. Just like when Carl Ripken Jr. went way
over Lou Gehrig s playing streak on September 6, 1995 (Johnson 68). Ripken even beat his own

Position Paper On Declaration Of Independence
Position Paper
The Declaration of Independence states all the reasons why the colonies considered themselves
independent from England. Thomas Jefferson didn t believe in the reasons stated in the Declaration of
Independence. He simply used ideas from others to justify it. Jefferson says that all men are created
equal , and because of this they have certain unalienable rights. Thomas Jefferson didn t think all men
were equal. He refers to the Indians as the merciless Indian savages, whose known rule of warfare is
an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes, and conditions. From the way in which he describes
them we can assume that he considered them inferior and uncivilized. He was also a slave owner. A
man, who did not believe that Indians and black people are men couldn t use the idea that all men are
created equal.
Jefferson says that among the unalienable rights are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. These
rights were originally John Locke s ideas, with the exception that he believed that property was an
unalienable right. The fact that Jefferson uses the pursuit of happiness instead of property is proof that
he didn t believe in these rights. If he really believed in them he would have mentioned property.

Hate and Love in Romeo and Juliet
Romeo states in Act 1, Here is much to do with hate, but more with. By analyzing the many forms

Friar Lawrence s place in the play is in between these two opposites, as is the nurses. In Act 2, scene 5
after returning from her first mission to Romeo, Juliet s Nurse tells her impatient mistress, I am the
drudge, and toil in your delight . At this point, we are inclined to take the Nurse at her word. When we
first encounter her in Act I, scene 3, the Nurse of Romeo and Juliet appears to be a comic character
given to bawdy humor and innuendo, but this coarse character is softened by her fondness for Juliet.
In Friar Lawrence s case I think when he agrees to marry Romeo and Juliet It is a desperate attempt to
fuse together two opposites to end the skirmish between the two families. County Paris is juxtaposed
with Romeo throughout the play, and by doing so; Shakespeare highlights the extraordinary nature of
Romeo s love for Juliet. Paris is completely ignorant of the romance between Romeo and Juliet, and
so while his own suit for Juliet threatens the lovers plans, he is not a blocking character. Moreover, in
the tomb scene, Paris acquits himself well, displaying a depth of affection for Juliet and earning
Romeo s praise. Juliet on the other and has absolutely no interest in Paris, this is another illustration of
unrequited love. Taking this into consideration I believe that Paris does not only love Juliet out of lust
because in the tomb scene Paris puts his own life on the line to save the one he claims to love. Alas his

Essay On Mark Twain
Mark Twain once stated, Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow mindedness. This quote
should let us all know how much travel actually meant to him. In his life, he did a lot of traveling and
exploring. From a newspaper apprentice to a pilot Mark Twain lived a rather adventurous life .
First, most people think that your childhood can have a pleasant or unpleasant effect on your
adulthood. Mark Twain was born Samuel Clemens on November 30, 1835 in the frontier village of
Florida, Missouri ( Mark Twain Biography.com ). He spent his boyhood in nearby Hannibal, on the
bank of the Mississippi River, observing its busy life, fascinated by its romance, but chilled by the
violence and bloodshed it bred.(28 Cox) During his childhood he became exposed to slavery, at one
point he actually discovered a body of a drowned slave. At 12, Twain would actually have to drop out
of school due to the sudden death of his father John Clemens; he would become a young apprentice (
MarkTwainBiograpgy.com ). Twain wasn t even a teen and basically had to become the man of the
house not by choice but basically by force, this more than likely made Twain the hard worker that he
was.
Next, one could say you should treat every job as if it is actually your career, as if you would be doing
it for the rest of your life. Mark Twain had several different jobs. He began work as an apprentice then
a compositor with local printers, contributing occasional squibs.(125 MacArthur) At 17 his comic

The authors begin by examining colonial records which are a type of primary source that is very
credible, in the sense, it is likely a government recorded document at that time which would have
information regarding the transition from mainland Nova Scotia to what is now Louisbourg . This
source, in general, is a good one but doesn t completely back up the thesis of this article. The second
primary source that is used by Jonah and Tait is an archaeological investigation of Acadian
agricultural households. This is an incredible source that they picked because this source allows us to
understand what the structure of these people s homes would be like in the 18th century. I m not sure
exactly where the writers get this information for this next source, but I do believe it is a secondary
source worth mentioning. Two historians named Maurice Basque and Josette Brun has gathered
examples of Acadian women who have stepped out in wanting to participate in the public realm .This
would be very credible source because historians do a lot of research into their topics and often get
their work published in books. The last primary source which I find very interesting and the most
credible out of this article would be the estate inventory of Jeanne Thibodeau article concludes with.
This source not only is a very rare document but is very interesting in the fact it allows the reader to

Then God appears before Job and curses him asking why he was not there when he created the world
or why he isn t omnipotent. God goes on about how Job dares question God s power, wisdom and
decisions. God continues to pound him with questions and Job apologizes for questioning God and
finally repents to God. God then addresses Job s three friends and tells them that they have angered
God and they have to offer seven bulls and seven rams to clear their wrongdoings against God. After
all the repenting and prayers, God then gives back all of Job s losses, blessing him with twice the

The prologue of the book, set in prose style, is made up of chapters one and two with the introduction

Restaurant owners and managers are responsible for everything from employee safety to liquor
liability. Insurance, licenses and safety procedures are just a few areas that restaurant owners should
be familiar with (Mealey, 2016).
A restaurant s location is as crucial to its success as great food and service. It will influence many
parts of your restaurant, including the menu (Mealey, 2016). After choosing a good and obvious
location, a restaurant owner should be careful when designing the menu and its content; it is tricky.
Designing the menu takes much planning and the designer should be aware of the importance of the
menu. The menu is one of the most important elements in a restaurant.
Quality is also very important in the restaurant/food industry. Before serving anything, a business
owner should make sure that it meets the quality requirements that are stated from the Department of
Public Health. In California, the Department of Public Health has specific food programs for each
kind of food. Also, it has numerous laws and codes such as the Sherman Food, Drug, and Cosmetic
Law, Current Good Manufacturing Practice, Hazard Analysis, Risk Based Preventive Controls for
Human Food and more. (CDPH).

Persuasive Speech On Aliens Are Real
Have you ever wondered if Aliens are real? Some people don t and some people do. Well, today I m
going to tell you 3 claims that Aliens are real. People say that they have a connection with Aliens.
Aliens are real because of all the evidence they had found about them. Some people believe that aliens
are fake because they think all the evidence and the stories people tell are fake. My opinion is that
Aliens do exist in this world and trying to learn more about us. Here is some evidence that I think they
are real. Witnesses say that they had seen UFO and have evidence to prove it. On July 3, 1947, Dan
Wilmot and his wife were sitting on his porch when he saw a bright light. When he stared at it he saw
a flying saucer. He said ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On November 5th, 1975 one of the most interesting UFO case took place in northeastern Arizona. 7
people workers were driving when they saw a luminous object shape of a flat disk hovering close to
their truck on a dirt road. One of the witnesses, Travis Walton got out of the car and started walking to
the object. While he was looking at the object a bluish light flashed and hit Travis Walton. The crew
started to run a way from the scene. One of the crew members saw the object hover and left with great
speed. 5 days later Walton appeared again confused. After this happened the crew members were taken
to a lying machine to see if they were telling the truth and the tests said they were telling the truth.
Sergeant Charles L Moody was in the Alamogordo area of New Mexico on August 13, 1975. It was
about 1:30 when the incident happened when he was going to observe a meteor shower. Then, he
noticed a strange bright orange light.it was falling to Earth. The object stopped before it hit the
ground. The metallic object stopped around 20 meters of the ground. He noticed the object was 50
meters long and 20 meters wide. It began to move to him, he also noticed that there was human like
shadows on the windows. He raced to his car but his car wasn t working. He heard a high pitched
humming sound and he felt his body going numb. After a few moments, he got up and saw the aircraft
leave. He rushed to his car went home to notice that it was already 3:00 am. After all of this happened
he had back pain and a leash on his back. He attempted self hypnosis to try to figure all of this out.
After 3 weeks he finally figured what happened to him. He said that his body went numb and that the
aliens tried to communicate with him. They were six feet tall and were gray. He said that his leader
was shorter than both of them. The

Destiny Case
Internet Security Protocols Internet security protocols use many different methods to protect your
computer from dangers across the internet. Because there are so many methods to do this with, there
are also many protocols concerning internet security. Internet protocols as a group are often referred to
as TCP or IP. TCP stands for Transmission Control Protocol and IP stands for Internet Protocol.
Internet Protocol will deal only with packets but Transmission Control Protocols allows more than one
host to connect and exchange the data they see fit to share. Transmission Control Protocols not only
make sure that your data gets delivered but that the packets sent by you will be delivered in the order
that the user sends them.
Kerberos is the first internet security protocol to be discussed. It is a computer network authentication
protocol. This security protocol allows nodes that have to communicate through a non secure network
to prove their identities to the other user/s. It was designed mainly to be used for in client to server
situations. It is an effective model for client to server usage because it provides authentication for, and
from, both sides. Kerberos uses Symmetric key cryptography as a basis for its security. Throughout
the authentication process it could use public key cryptography instead of the Symmetric Key
Cryptography. In the AAA protocol, the A s stand for Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting.

  • 2. Woody Allen s Film Debut With The Quirky, What s Up, Tiger... In 1966, Woody Allen made his theatrical film debut with the quirky, What s Up, Tiger Lily?. Woody Allen was the head writer as well as one of the directors; Senkichi Taniguchi being his partner. The two directors took the Japanese action film International Secret Police: Key of Keys and changed the plot to focus on a secret egg salad recipe instead ( What s Up, Tiger Lily? ). They did this by re dubbing the dialogue as well as rearranging some of the scenes. Experimental concept of the film alone, Woody Allen managed to already set himself apart from other filmmakers. However, it is in the execution of the concept that Woody Allen was able to establish his unique presence in the world of popular culture. In addition to its humorous and unique concept, the film does not unfold in a logical manner, keeping the viewer on their toes. More or less, the film s plot is designed as an opportunity for a string of puns, playfully racist jokes, farcical situations and sight gags. Centrally, it follows Phil Moskowitz, who was hired to recover the stolen egg salad recipe (What s Up, Tiger Lily?). He is a secret agent, working for the Grand Exalted High Majah of Raspur ( a nonexistent but real sounding country , according to the movie). The film makes several hard left turns, leaving viewers pleasantly confused. However, it is clear that Woody Allen has done this on purpose. At one point in the film, the action ceases entirely and cuts to a shot of Woody Allen and an interviewer ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Character Analysis Okonkwo Things Fall Apart Okonkwo In the novel Things Fall Apart, by Chinua Achebe, Okonkwo is a character who shows the difficulty of staying true and saving his religion. Okonkwo is a very strong man. At times he may be very stubborn, like most men. With many occasions he is very impatient and struggles with controlling his anger. In the book, he is exiled for seven years. During those seven years missionaries come into the village and try to make all of the Ibo tribe convert into Christianity. Since he,Okonkwo, is not there to kick them out they have managed to convince a few people, including his son. This leads him to be very upset and angry when he comes out of exile. The author, Chinua Achebe, is trying to show culture and strength ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It was very obvious that Okonkwo was not willing to convert, he stayed and instead tried to get as many people as he could to stand up to them and begin a war to get the British out one and for all. The story would have gone much different if he would have agreed with the british and converted without going down with a fight. It would not seem like him. Additionally, the theme of this meaningful novel is culture conflict. It proves to see if danger that you know is going to overpower your culture and effect your life, do you join it or fight for what you believe in. That is exactly what Okonkwo did. No matter what the issue was he always knew that he had done something wrong and and did his time, but in the end of the day he still stood up for what he believed in. Just like today cultures should still treat each other with respect and respect different beliefs. At the end of the novel, Okonkwo had hung himself because he knew the missionaries would eventually and he wanted to be the one with the power to take his life. He decided to be the bigger person and take his own life instead of giving them the power. In the final analysis, Okonkwo was very unsatisfied with the coming of the British. He begins to become more intimidating and decided to stand up for his tribe, sadly no one had his back. Okonkwo becomes a tragic hero because he has tried to save his tribe, culture, and life but has failed in doing so. Okonkwo impacts the story by ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. George Washington And Thomas Jefferson John Adams (1735 1826) has the historically unfortunate position of being president between two American icons, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. His presidency is often overlooked by scholars and even occasionally viewed as an undeserving president who won the office out of early American political maneuvering (McCullough 2001, 29). Nonetheless, he led the young nation during the end of the French Revolution and the emergence of Napoleon Bonaparte, a globally tumultuous period. The nation, and the world, has changed dramatically since the end of the eighteenth century. However, the domestic and foreign concerns that Adams had to manage and attempt to resolve are still relevant to current circumstances. Even though Adams only served one term over 200 years ago, through an analysis of his background, personality, presidential leadership and managerial style, and his interactions with Congress and the American people, a twenty first century incoming president is able to learn from Adams mistakes and triumphs. Life Before the Presidency John Adams was raised in a Puritan household in colonial Massachusetts during the eighteenth century. Although not a deeply religious or pious man, the Puritan values of selfless service, modesty, and unflinching dedication were deeply instilled into Adams at a young age and would have lasting impacts on his personality and work ethic throughout his life (McCullough 2001, 54). After attending Harvard, Adams launched his legal career ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Major Themes In The Fifth Wave By Rick Yancey The Fifth Wave Theme Essay The author of the The 5th Wave, Rick Yancey, had several prominent themes. Three were most vital; first, war cannot change who a person really is at their core, second, people are defined by the choices they make, and third, family is worth living for. These are the best and most important motifs of The 5th Wave. The first theme, war cannot change who a person really is at their core, recurs during several incidences which reinstates the significance. For example, Ben tries to make Ringer smile despite being in the midst of the end of the world. When Cassie and Sammy reunite, he goes back to his five year old self despite his being in boot camp for months prior, and lastly, Cassie and Evan flirt ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Finally, Cassie had little to no human contact before she was shot in the leg and saved by Evan Walker but she still did not hesitate to kiss him, cuddle, fight, or anything that a normal couple would do. After fighting with each other, Evan Walker kisses me. Holding my hand against his chest, his other hand sliding across my neck... Despite Cassie being shot in the leg by an unknown shooter, aliens trying to take over the Earth, her brother being taken, and her family being dead, she is still a teenage girl who enjoys male interaction. An additional theme heavily shown throughout the book is people are defined by the choices they make . Ben left his little sister, Sissy, to die, even though he could have made an effort to save her; because he left her, he now vows not to run from danger or those things which scare him. Furthermore, Cassie promises Sammy that she will find him and, because she makes that promise, she will stop at nothing to be with him again. At the beginning of the arrival, Ben and his family stayed at their house. One night, there are gunshots and screams heard coming from their neighbors house; Ben s mother demands them to blow out the candles which lit the rooms and his father told Ben that If anything happens to me, take care of your mother and baby sister, (Page 117). After that, the door crashes open and Ben s father shoots the male intruder to no avail his father is then shot in the face and Ben ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

But a few days later Muriel, reading over the Seven Commandments to herself, noticed that there was yet another of them which the animals had remembered wrong. They had thought the Fifth Commandment was No animal shall drink alcohol, but there were two words that they had forgotten. Actually the Commandment read: No animal shall drink alcohol to excess. The more Muriel looked at the commandments, the more wrong she knew it looked. It s a big concept in society today, but has it always been that way? Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte is a famous work on the basis of her own experiences. In this novel, the author shapes a tough and independent woman who pursues true love and equality. In the Victorian period, the image of Jane Eyre cast a sharp contrast to the man dominated society. She stands for a new lady who has the courage to fight for her own rights and love. The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison is also a popular work that discusses the hardships of black feminism. During Pecola s time in the story, she is faced with many obstacles that endanger her womanhood, and the point of her femininity is put into place. Pecola s hardships in her life are faced through her race, and this is a contrast to the white male dominated society. Let s begin with what feminism really is. Feminist theory, according to my first literary criticism, by Haiyan Gao, is to achieve gender equality in all of humanity. All feminist theory has a basic premise, which is, women worldwide are under an oppression, discrimination, and hierarchy state. In such a social structure prevalent among women in the political, economic, cultural, ideological, knowledge, ideas, ethics and other fields are in an unequal position with men, even in a private sphere of family, women are also in a position of inequality with men. I have seen situations where just one inflated sale caused every new listing in a neighborhood to be priced at the same level. The inflated sale can cause a cascade effect. Now every home is overpriced because of one inflated sale. The result is buyers faced with less affordability and/or sellers attempting to sell their homes at asking prices that are not realistic. From 1624 to 1752, thirteen English colonies emerged along the Eastern coast of North America, with a multitude of diversities among them that transformed the map of the English New World. Colonial life within these three regions: New England, middle, and southern colonies was diverse because of the varying geography, economy, and society the colonists had constructed. Green water management often comes in the form of effective use of rainfall (Liu, Zehnder, Yang 2009). Green Water management has great conservation potential. For example, according to Liu, Zehnder, Yang (209), strengthening rainfall management could possibly double or even quadruple maize yields in sub Saharan Africa. Rainwater harvesting is a promising approach for green water management in the semiarid tropics of Asia and Africa (Liu, Zehnder, Yang 2009). Experiments with rainwater harvesting increased yield by a factor of 2 to 3 in Burkina Faso, Kenya, Niger, Sudan and Tanzania as compared to the current yield levels (Liu, Zehnder, Yang 2009). Additional spending in many of the rain fed areas allowed more poor people to rise above the poverty line than would be expected with investments in irrigation infrastructure (Liu, Zehnder, Yang 2009). Green water management is not only limited to infrastructure and management technologies, as biotechnological advances can also be helpful (Liu, Zehnder, Yang 2009). For example, a hybrid New Rice for Africa, which was developed to grow in the uplands of West Africa, produces more than 50% more grain than current varieties when cultivated in traditional ... Thomas Jefferson didn t believe in the reasons stated in the Declaration of Independence. He simply used ideas from others to justify it. Jefferson says that all men are created equal , and because of this they have certain unalienable rights. Thomas Jefferson didn t think all men were equal. He refers to the Indians as the merciless Indian savages, whose known rule of warfare is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes, and conditions. From the way in which he describes them we can assume that he considered them inferior and uncivilized. He was also a slave owner. A man, who did not believe that Indians and black people are men couldn t use the idea that all men are created equal. Jefferson says that among the unalienable rights are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. These rights were originally John Locke s ideas, with the exception that he believed that property was an unalienable right. Romeo and Juliet, the tragic play by William Shakespeare, centers around the love story between Romeo, the young heir of the Montagues, and Juliet, the daughter of the house of Capulet. Because of an on going feud between the two families, Romeo and Juliet are forced to keep their love a secret, marry in secret and, due to ill fated consequences; they die together in the tomb of the Capulets. In Act 2, scene 5 after returning from her first mission to Romeo, Juliet s Nurse tells her impatient mistress, I am the drudge, and toil in your delight . At this point, we are inclined to take the Nurse at her word. When we first encounter her in Act I, scene 3, the Nurse of Romeo and Juliet appears to be a comic character given to bawdy humor and innuendo, but this coarse character is softened by her fondness for Juliet. In Friar Lawrence s case I think when he agrees to marry Romeo and Juliet It is a desperate attempt to fuse together two opposites to end the skirmish between the two families. County Paris is juxtaposed with Romeo throughout the play, and by doing so; Shakespeare highlights the extraordinary nature of Romeo s love for Juliet. Paris is completely ignorant of the romance between Romeo and Juliet, and so while his own suit for Juliet threatens the lovers plans, he is not a blocking character. Moreover, in the tomb scene, Paris acquits himself well, displaying a depth of affection for Juliet and earning Romeo s praise. Juliet on the other and has absolutely no interest in Paris, this is another illustration of unrequited love. In his life, he did a lot of traveling and exploring. From a newspaper apprentice to a pilot Mark Twain lived a rather adventurous life . First, most people think that your childhood can have a pleasant or unpleasant effect on your adulthood. Mark Twain was born Samuel Clemens on November 30, 1835 in the frontier village of Florida, Missouri ( Mark Twain Biography.com ). He spent his boyhood in nearby Hannibal, on the bank of the Mississippi River, observing its busy life, fascinated by its romance, but chilled by the violence and bloodshed it bred.(28 Cox) During his childhood he became exposed to slavery, at one point he actually discovered a body of a drowned slave. At 12, Twain would actually have to drop out of school due to the sudden death of his father John Clemens; he would become a young apprentice ( MarkTwainBiograpgy.com ).
