1914-1918

2. The Cause World War 1
World War 1 started when the Arch Duke of
Austria was assassinated so then Austria
declared war on Serbia then Russia declared war
on on Austria then Germany declared war on
Russia but if they sent all their troops to Russia
they would be vulnerable on the other side so
they declared war on France as-well but to get to
France they had to march through Belgium but
the English were friends with Belgium so the
English helped the French and joined the Allies.

3. Weapons (Rifles)
● Here is an Enfield
rifle.
● It was used by the
English in WWI and it
was so good it was
used in WWII aswell.
● It was one of the best
rifle's ever in 20th
century.

4. Weapons (Flamethrowers)
● Here is an Italian
Flamethrower used in
WWI
● However these
weren't very effective
because if the wind
was blowing it would
fly back in their faces.
● In WWII its was more
effective and more
powerful.

5. Moving On Through The War
● In 1915 a torpedo
was launched by a
German submarine.
● It hit a ship called the
Lusitania of the coast
of Ireland.
● Then the Americans
joined the Allies side.

6. Near The End Of The War
● Nearing the end of
the war the Central
Powers were almost
defeated.
● To recap there were 2
side Allies and
Central Powers.
● The Central Powers
were
Germany,Austria,Turk
ey,Bulgaria and
Hungary.

7. The End of World War 1
● The war was over
and the Central
Powers were
defeated.
● Sadly millions and
millions of people
died in the war.
● Over 500,000 people
died from Ireland.
