This document summarizes the results of a needs assessment conducted with universities and outside partners across 12 states to identify effective youth water education programs. Over 230 universities and 46 outside partners completed assessments which identified commonly used curricula for different age groups. Key findings included a need for standardized, hands-on water curricula and increased opportunities for youth citizen science projects. Next steps involve further analyzing the data, communicating with partners, and determining the best approach for training educators.
