This document summarizes the results of tests conducted on Firebird databases of varying sizes (small, medium, quite large, very large) to analyze how administrative tasks are impacted. The key findings are: 1) Gstat scans took 3 times longer when the database was active compared to inactive, significantly impacting user performance on RAID 10 systems. SSDs mitigated this performance hit. 2) Nbackup backups were faster without direct I/O enabled, with the time cost ranging from 1.2x to 22.5x depending on database size and activity. 3) Xcopy backups were significantly faster than Nbackup, with a time cost reduction of 1.2x to 5x depending on
