Z33 - centre for contemporary art and design Since 2002, its goal is to reflect on societal and scientific evolutions and phenomena through the creation of elaborate research based exhibition projects Z33 (Zuivelmarkt 33) is situated in the previous beguinage of Haselt, unifying historical architecture and contemporary art Z33 is an initiative of the Province of  Limburg
Z33 Is not a museum; there is no collection Focuses on contemporary visual art and design and the boundaries in-between Displays critical projects (especially socially and scientifically) and exhibits the works of artists / designers who are critical towards their own discipline Is interested in initiating, developing, producing and integrating multidisciplinary projects (exhibitions, workshops, lectures, productions, etc.) Believes that ‘experience’ is a first introduction into the content Stimulates and supports research
