Job advert: a public notice to publicize any job position.
Job position: a post of employment.
To apply for a job: to put in an application or request.
Applicant: a person who applies for a job.
Application form: a verbal a written request, as for a job.
CV: currículum vitae.
Vacancy: an unoccupied post or office.
Reference: a written testimonial with someone's character or capabilities.
Interview: a formal discussion, in which an employer assesses an applicant for
a job.

Employer: a person who employs.
To employ: to provide work, hire.
Employed: a person who is hired to work.
Unemployed: a person who is out of work.
Self-employed: earning money in one's own business.
Trainee: a person undergoing training.
Jobcentre: a government office in which people seeking jobs can consult
displayed advertisements in informal surroundings.

Part-time job: for less than the entire time appropriate to an activity.
Full-time job: for the entire time appropriate to an activity.
Permanent job: not expected to change for an indefinite time, not temporary.
Temporary job: not permanent, provisional.
Salary/wages: payment in return for work or services.
To earn/make money: to be paid in return for work or service.
Do over-time: to work outside the work schedule.
Sick leave: leave of absence from work through illness.
Pregnant leave: leave of absence from work through pregnancy.
Take a day off: have a day rest of work.

6. Example:
Since last year I was unemployed and I couldn’t find any job, so a month ago I
decided to go to a jobcentre near my house. Finally I could find a job advert
which publicize a job position in Mcdonald’s. I sent an application form with my
CV and some reference from my last work at Burger King, and the next week I
got an interview with the employer. We talked about my qualifications, my
experience, etc. The employer told me that they would call me if they were
interested on employ me, and in a few days later I got the call!
Now I’m working full-time and I earn 1200 € a month, but I like doing over-time
to make more money.

Success: (noun) a person or thing that is successful.
Successful: (adjective)having succeeded in one's endeavours.
To succeed:(verb) to happen in the manner desired.
Failure: the act or an instance of failing.
To fail: to be unsuccessful in an attempt.
To achieve your goals: to bring to a successful conclusion.
To set your goals: to decide which are your purposes.
To get through: to be successful in doing something.
Ambition: strong desire for success.
Ambitious: someone who have a strong desire for success or achievement.
Fulfil oneself: to achieve one's potential or desires.

8. Success and failure:
Put pressure on: to pressure someone to do something.
Under pressure: To be pressured to do something.
Motivated: to be incentivized to do something.
Achievement: something that has been accomplished.
To achieve: to gain as by hard work or effort.
Weak: He was too weak to overcome his issues.
Weakness: to be weak.
Strong: She is so strong that she can achieve anything she wants.
Strength: to be strong.
Overcome: to surmount obstacles.

Challenge: a defiance.
Challenging: something that suppose a challenge.
Satisfy: to fulfil oneself’s needs or desires.
Satisfying: something that satisfies.
This job was really challenging, but it is very satisfying to see the work finished.

10. Success and failure, idioms:
Go places: to become successful.
Make it: to be successful in doing something.
Getting nowhere: don’t get any results on what you are doing.
Make headway: to progress.
Come to nothing: some activity that is useless.

11. Example:
It seems that becoming a doctor is really hard. People who want to make it
have to study a lot. At first, these people may feel that they’re getting
nowhere, but they can’t give up even if they think their effort comes to
nothing. If they continue studying, they’ll make headway and in a few years
of hard working they’ll go places.
