Create Variable Products in WooCommerce 2.4.4+
3. Set a Variable Product
Create a new product or open an existing one
Scroll down to the Product Data section shown below
Change the Product Type dropdown to Variable product
4. Set a custom attribute
Select the Attributes section
Select an Attribute to use and click the Add button
5. Set values for the attribute
The Attribute will be added to the list of Attributes
Click in the Values field and select a value
6. Add Extra Values
If the value is not listed, click the Add new button
Enter a new value and click ok.

7. Add Extra Values
The values will be added to the field.
Repeat the last tabbed pages for all extra values for the attribute.
8. Set the attribute for variations
Tick the Used for variations tickbox and click Save Attributes
10. Add Variations
Ensure the Add variation option is selected and click Go
A variation option will then be shown below

11. Add Variations
Change the dropdown to a size option
Click on the white space next to the dropdown to toggle the price editor
section

12. Add Variations
Enter the variation price and a variation photo if needed
Note: To add a variation-specific photo, click the icon
Click Save changes
Repeat these stages for each remaining variation

13. Save the product
Scroll to the top of the product editor and click the Publish / Update
button
