As knowledge practitioners, we have known all the while that harnessing knowledge remains critical for workforce competitiveness and organisational success, as complexity and unpredictability engulf organisations. At the national level, government has initiated the SMART NATION programme, to leverage on technology to improve our lives. At a personal level, we know that if as leaders, manager and workers, we do not know what we know, if we do not know what we do not know and/or if we think we know all there is to know, chances are we will not be able to compete effectively.
Success in knowledge management (KM) was traditionally about systems, technologies and platforms. Today, KM is everybody’s problem but no one’s direct responsibility. A closer study of KM suggests that it is increasingly about getting the balance right in structural and behavioural changes within organisations. Today, KM must work in concert with leadership, learning, and growth strategies. Tomorrow KM will be about sustainable organisational development (OD). It will be about understanding and implementing Change Leadership within the organisation. This presentation will walk the audience through why effective KM requires re-balancing leadership and learning within organisations, and how these relate to the ancient Aristotelian philosophy of Ethos, Pathos and Logos. Originally posited as a frame for argumentation, the intellectual, emotional and physical aspects that concern knowledge creation, transfer and integration are examined. This presentation will conclude with the argument that today, KM is part of Organisational Development, and that Change Leadership will play an important part in KM success in organisations.
A slide presentation on the solutions that Making Vision Reality can offer to customers. This includes Transformation, Innovation, Programme and Projects and workshops.
Employee Engagement Today: The Simply Irresistible OrganizationQualtrics
Though culture and engagement are often considered two sides of the same coin, each serves it’s own function. In this webinar Josh Bersin will outline how corporate culture and employee engagement work hand in hand and discuss the importance of actively measuring and monitoring both to drive business success.

Mirit Ben Nun
Born August 8, 1966
These paintings express a personal need to delineate images and fantasies abundant with
color and emotional explosion. Signs, lines and the materials appear of their own volition
and develop as an external language bridging the eye, the hand and the painted surface.
During the making of a painting the power of the shapes emanate from an unconscious
and concealed inner dimension.
Line by line, painting after painting while repeating shapes and patterns, a creation
evolves into new shapes and patterns. With a determination that reaches obsession, Mirit
Ben-Nun keeps on returning to her art of meticulous decoration. A strong presence of
primitive ornamentation provides the artwork with a tribal facet on one hand and a
feminine touch on the other, encompassing embroidery, bead threading and weaving
among others. Ben- Nun’s beautifying urge carries within it an archetypal strata, mythic
at times, which empowers her authentic expression.

Leading Innovation — Encouraging Innovation as an ICT Strategy for Success
Technology is rapidly evolving and so is the role of professionals in ICT. Organisations that fail to keep up with new technologies and trends run the risk of
losing their competitive advantage in the industry and operating inefficiently. Since innovation is of immense value in technical roles, it is vital for leaders to

your full leadership potential.
Technological advances are now disrupting major industries forcing industry leaders to create new unique ideas rapidly. Organisations that are agile, lean
and quick thinking are well equipped and enable adaptation to a fast changing and complex world. This is changing the structure of organisations, and
forcing leaders to make innovation a priority.
A successful innovator is able to anticipate future trends and create unique ideas from it. In this workshop, Michelle will explore how to become an innovative

Perseverance in climbing the ladder of success —
Taking the leap towards senior level management
Executive level management does not just happen
overnight. It takes a great deal of planning, time and effort to
create one’s pathway toward success. Senior level success
requires taking chances outside of your comfort zone and
learning along the way. In 2007, Julie took that chance
by moving to Australia from the UK. This leap outside of
her comfort zone has led to her achieving executive level
success in the Australian Public Service. In this session,
Julie will share:
• The challenges associated with making that leap towards
success
• How stepping outside of your comfort zone leads to
leadership growth
• Seizing the right opportunities

The reconstruction of thought in action
Successful leaders in any organisation should be making
progressive strides to look at things differently in terms of
the way we use and interact with technology. Successful
leaders in ICT must be able to create new food for thought
when inspiring team members, recruiting employees for
technological roles, and discovering different ways of
thinking. In this session, Ken will explore:

Balancing the boundaries of work and life —
Dealing with constant technological interruptions
in everyday life
If the evolution of technology was supposed to make the
workplace ultra-efficient, why are people struggling harder
than ever before at mastering the balance between work
life and personal life? Women in ICT may be struggling to
find that balance, especially since the role is almost directly
correlated to the devices that make this very balance so
difficult to achieve: mobiles and computers. This interactive
panel discussion will explore how to:
• Establish policies and expectations that support employee
work-life balance
• Avoid 24/7 connectivity to prevent technology from
intruding in on one’s personal life
• The evolution of technology toward the domination of work
over one’s personal life

Leading with uniqueness and authenticity in an
ICT role
Authentic leaders endeavour to connect with themselves
and others in order to lead with clarity and resolve.
They do this by building awareness of their strengths,
weaknesses, opportunities and limitations. Despite this,
clarity and resolve can be challenged by situations that
present themselves full of ambiguity, complexity and
contradiction. Authenticity can suddenly seem at odds
when leading through such an unpredictable landscape.
In this session, Gina will share:
• The tipping point between uniqueness and “covering”
• When organisational context challenges an authentic
leader

ABOUT THE EVENT
Digital innovations are dramatically transforming the playing field in
business and in many cases redefining the role of ICT professionals. The
rapid evolution of technology requires leaders in ICT to be innovative and
agile in their adoption of new strategies and solutions to fit the current
environment. To account for this, ICT leaders must have a solid platform
for creating innovative approaches in order to reach that next level in
their career.
During times of disruptive change and transformation, leaders are
confronted with complex challenges and need to be equipped with
the appropriate tools and strategies to overcome them. This Summit
will explore the changing nature of leadership in ICT roles and most
importantly, the skills and competencies demanded by leaders and
senior management to perform and deliver results.
Running for the third time, the Women in ICT Summit 2016 is the
premier professional development opportunity for existing and emerging
leaders. This unique forum will address core technical and leadership
skills, and share inspirational career stories and insights from successful
senior leaders in ICT roles from across all industries. Industry leaders will
share advice on establishing and improving ICT leadership skills.
